Celebrity needs to get their act together

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

The pre-cruise hotel needs to be looked at. We arrived in Auckland late, the reservation the hotel had was for two nights (we only had it for one) and luckily, we had the paperwork to prove it. I asked at the desk where the Celebrity Representative desk would be in the morning because we had a transfer to the ship. All I got was a blank stare and was told to ask the Concierge in the morning. I ...

Celebrity Solstice, where we were NOT made to feel like a Celebrity.

We chose this cruise as it was a one way trip from New Zealand back to Australia. We were on our Honeymoon and spent a week before hand travelling ourselves around the South Island. Embarkation- We were on the Concierge Class. If you like your in-room breakfast, definitely go this level or higher. We found out from our neighbours (who have travelled on the ship a number of times) that you only ...

Celebrity Solstice........ is a beautiful ship. Cabins are so elegant n nice, great size but not enough storage or drawers. Bed is just perfect. Balcony is so spacious n great ! Bathroom is also perfect. Enough storage n there is even a night light. No curtains. Shampoo n conditioner were supplied. But no body lotion or shower gel. The ship is very stable! Not as nice n opened Atrium as I was ...

THE GOOD: Beautiful pool deck, great food and service, shows, the celebration put on for the Superbowl was outstanding, Les de Merle lectures. THE BAD: Slow dinner service, daytime entertainment THE UGLY: Endless queues for boarding and unboarding Adelaide, logistical wharf problems for getting off, ship 4 hours late and blamed on "rough weather" - not really rough, probably bad ...

Celebrity did not live up to expectations...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

Celebrity Cruiseline, and more specifically the Millennium are undoubtedly the worst cruise we have EVER taken. The entertainment, cuisine, staff (especially shore excursion staff), and cleanliness on the ship were below average at best, and I feel this is being quite conservative. Here are the issues we faced: Cuisine: The food in the dining room was on most nights average, nothing like the ...

We'd looked forward to our honeymoon with much anticipation. It was our first trip to New Zealand and Australia, and we couldn't wait to get on board and start sailing. Unfortunately, from the minute we boarded, we experienced difficulties on the Millennium. We later found out that the ship was scheduled for dry dock in April, which explained the numerous external signs of disrepair. Windows, ...

Embarkation - We arrived at the dock to drop off our baggage around 12:30pm before returning our hire car. The ship sailed at 6 pm & there were already nearly 1000 people at the dock. We came back at around 2pm & the queue had pretty much gone & it took only about 20 mins to embark. The room was ready. We had a queen bed & a sofa bed for our daughter. The room was nice & the bathroom was clean & ...

This was the first time I sailed on celebrity, and it will probably be my last. I booked with them for what I thought was a great deal for an AU/NZ cruise. I usually cruise on Carnival, and I have to say I've experienced much better with them before. I plan to stay away from all RCI related cruise lines. The entertainment also sucked. The comedy shows had few laughs, and there were only 1 or 2 ...
