There is nothing that can compare to spending time with friends. Everything else is icing on the cake. We spent three days in Athens and seven nights on the Apex with longtime friends.
On this adventure, however, the icing on the cake was delicious.
For us at least, The ship and service were unmatched compared to all previous cruises. Traveling with only 900 guests on a ship that normally ...
we have sailed with celebrity before and have never been disappointed. we chose to sail on the apex because it was a brand new ship and had fabulous reviews. it was a fantastic time! the ship was the most beautiful ship we have ever been on! the ship was about 1/3 full and we felt like we had the whole ship to ourselves. the food, drinks, service, etc, was impeccable. they have four main dining ...
Our first cruise after the covid lock down. And one of the very first cruises of the Celebrity Apex itself. The ship came into service in 2020 but due to the covid crisis couldn't sail with passengers before summer 2021. We sailed with her through the Greek waters and it was like a Greek myth. Great weather, wonderful islands, a great ship and an excellent service. We were only 400 passengers and ...
We chose this cruise mostly because we were interested in the state-of-the-art EDGE series. Despite salivating at the YouTube and Celebrity videos describing the ship ahead of time, the Apex met or exceeded every expectation.
Preparing for embarkation was a little tedious, entirely due to COVID, but paying attention to the emails and doing the work ahead of time made for a smooth overall ...
We originally chose this cruise as it was visiting Israel. Unfortunately, due to unrest in the country and Covid issues, the Israel ports were replaced with Mykonos and Cyprus. Then, as the sail date got closer, Cyprus was replaced with Dubrovnik Croatia. About a week before sail date, we had decided to cancel. Just a few hours before contacting Celebrity and Delta Airlines to cancel, we ...
DW & I reeled in the fears and booked this cruise when the itinerary was Greece & Israel knowing the whole trip was a gamble w/ this pandemic thang. Many said we were crazy to even try but ultimately things worked out better than expected. Gots to flex like a Gumby doll and roll with it if you wants to travel these days and was it ever good to go back Jack and Do It Again. Brings me back to ...
The ship is new - modern - full of variety. The main dining room, now is four main dining rooms. Speciality restaurants are available at an additional cost but there is substantial choice without a 'need; to visit these.
Celebrity staff are back providing an excellent servvice, and staff were really vigilant in practicing mask wearing. It made one feel just that little bit safer.
The ...
When do you get to sail with 600 passengers, 900 crew on a megaship? Well during the pandemic. Lets call this experience the super yacht cruise.
Embarkation: Smooth and efficient. In port by 11:25 and on board before 12 tested and ready.
Captain: Funny, smart, always around, very much focused on guest satisfaction.
Cruise director: Giuseppe was the most energetic, visible all around ...
New ship with about one third of the passengers, it was cruiser paradise. We had one of the new Infinity Veranda rooms and really liked it. It made the room feel larger without losing the open balcony feel. The ship in general is beautiful and we loved the layout. The person who came up with splitting the main dining room into four distinct restaurants deserves a big bonus, it really changed the ...
We had planned to sail on Apex in 2020, but we all know what happened. Finally made it on board for this cruise from Athens. I’d like to comment on the COVID protocols and then the cruise itself.
COVID safety was great. All crew were vaccinated. Greater than 95% of passengers (I suspect it was essentially 100%). Everyone had to show proof before being admitted to the testing area where ...
