Slightly worried by reviews prior to boarding but was very pleasantly surprised by lovely condition and ambiance of ship.Comfortable areas to sit and enjoy entertainment of all kinds and particularly loved the double seats in the theatre! Cabin was airy and spacious with great storage space . Main dining room food was plentiful, tasty and of good variety. Oceanview buffet the same but we preferred being waited on as a treat! Staff in both areas were friendly and helpful and always on hand if needed. Ports of call were a great experience (some a coach ride away) but all part of the trip.Unfortunately we couldn't dock in Da Nang due to typhoon weather conditions but that was no fault of Celebrity in fact an extra day at sea was soon organised with extra activities and entertainment being provided at short notice. Entertainment - we felt, although very good was sometimes a little too long for individual acts and perhaps would have been better with a shorter time and two acts each session. Overall we had a brilliant time and met many people of different nationalities ...crew and passengers Read Less

Chose this cruise because of the date, and the promotions. We upgraded to Aqua class, and it would have been perfect, EXCEPT my cabin was under the pool.(9078) They begin to clean or work there at 3am. When I called to complain, I was told that everyone knew that this cabin was noisy.,That it was on their web site. The service on the Millennium was excellent. The Blu restaurant was wonderful, the waiters were great. Everyone that worked on the ship tried to please, and they were extraordinary. If there was any issue , it was resolved quickly. The group that handled the excursions were quick and helpful. All went very smooth. One of our excursions I was disappointed in the leader, his English was poor, and it was difficult to understand him. The only negative that I have was the excursions we picked were not worth the money we spent. I am sure that Celebrity checks them out, but we were not satisfied with 2 of the excursions. Read Less

Celebrity and the Millennium and it crew are one of the best. I have never been disappointed with Celebrity and love Cruising with them. The service is superb, great entertainment and the excursions were fantastic. I will of coarse be cruising again with Celebrity on one of the four millennium class ships they have. The meals in the Dinning room are first class meals thereby eliminating the need for the specialty restaurants. All the excursions were well planned out and organized with experience staff and guides. Some of the excursions we took had lunch provided so that we could experience the flavor of the local culture and food. The weather was a bit touchy a couple of the days due to a tropical depression we had to sail through, a little rough at times, but it didn't really affect us. Captain Leo and his bridge crew kept us as calm as possible. Captain Leo was fantastic, he was very personable and was always around the ship talking to the guests. We loved it. Read Less

We selected cruise because of Celebrity Loyalty Club and the Ports of Calls. The embarkation was fast with short lines. Disembarkation was smooth. There was a shortage of porters on the pier. The lines for cabs were long but moved very fast. There was plenty of transportation options available. The Entertainment and the Dining,The Internet was down for a full day. The Internet speed was slow and often hard to login. The cabin had enough space and shelves to store all our belongings. The service on all the staff was outstanding. The Port of Chan May, Vietnam was closed due to bad weather. We arrived a couple of hours earlier at Ha Long Bay City. The ship anchored in the harbor and we were taken a shore by tenders. The Hong Kong cruise port is far away from any local transportation, A couple of shopping centers offered free transportation to and from ship including stops near the MTR train stations. Read Less

I sailed with my 6 close friends with Celebrity Millenium Ship. I had a trip from Singapur to Hong Kong between 10th of december two whousand seven teen to 24th of december two whousand seven teen. Foods, fruits, desserts and their presentations are wonderful. Thanks to our table waiter Gaynhor for his wonderful service. You can choose whatever you want from the main course and can order also the other ones. Also thanks to assistant waiter Micky for his service and last of all thanks to sommelier Benny for his service. Also the decorations were beautiful because of Christmas time. Rooms are cery clean and housekeeping staff are cleaning many times a day in detail. Shows and entertainments are good and enjoyable.Just we had terrible storm for 2 days. It was horrible. In 10th floor in open buffet restaurant you can eat whenever you want and you can find very special meals there. Read Less

All the entrances and exits from the ship were good. We had an inside cabin and enjoyed Very sure to return 100% aga Singapore is a beautiful city. Clean and well maintained. It is recommended to stay there for 3-4 days. At Bangkok we thought we were too commercial. We liked Patya. In Saigon it is interesting to eat a good meal for 2 USD. Unfortunately, there was a storm at sea and we did not see Danang. There is a huge roller coaster museum and mountain climbing to see scenery .Hongong Bay is amazing! We took a cruise boat for 8 hours. And finally Hong Kong.It is recommended 7 days. in.It was hard to leave the ship. We enjoyed it very much, and began planning the next journey. Alaska.. Read Less

2nd part of India Golden Triangle trip + cruise- a 12 day cruise that was less than average for the money paid We had an inclusive drinks package which was evidently embarrassingly very important to the band of heavy drinkers that were on board for this cruise!! We observed that there was a problem getting a sun bed and nothing done by crew to make this a fair process so just glad we weren’t sun worshipers! Cabin was in a poor state - furniture tired and faded - no money has been spent in this area for years - cabin steward lovely and very helpful. Public areas had evidently been refreshed fairly recently. Most activities onboard were chargeable and WiFi exeptionally expensive Food varied from good to average but staff in restaurant very pleasant and hard working. Used Celebrity several years ago to Alaska and were disappointed then so after this cruise will never use them again as their ships are past their sell by date Read Less

Embarkation was not the best , most of the day was taken up by travelling from Dubai to the port of Abu Dhabi and then having to queue for the red tape involved. This took several hours, so did not get to see Adu Dhabi. Over all the cruise was fine my only criticism is they never tell you how much the gratuities are up front. When i inquired at the guest desk i was told its $27 per cabin per day. This includes your dining and room cleaning. When i told them we were dining in the buffet and not the restaurant should the same amount apply. The staff member replied, " This is the fixed amount and its NOT negotiable" .In the past i have always paid the staff what i think is good service. Now it seems the cruise company tells you what you must pay. Is it me or are the companies cutting back on the staff wages and expect you to make up the difference. So for the thirteen days i was there that would be $351 Dollars. The excursions are way too expensive, i managed to get a Six seater taxi with a driver for 8 hours in Mumbai for £35 for the whole day. For the two days we were there, did a lot of sight seeing/shopping at a cost of £13 each total for both days. Now compare that with the ship's 4 hour tour costing £40 each. Do the maths ! Yes i know the ship's excursion promises a better experience, however their coach broke down while on tour in Goa and had to wait over 40 min on a corner of a busy high street while they found a replacement. Another excursion i found hard to believe was a visit to a local home and included a cooked meal for over $350 each. So for the two of us how can a local curry cost over $700, come on !!!!! Read Less

This cruise was part of imagine cruising itinerary, golden triangle for 6days then cruise. Enjoyed Dubai , wish we had more time in Abu Dhabi and Muscat . Usual hassle with Indian red tape and visas , but not celebrity’s fault . Unfortunately felt ship was showing its age in certain areas especially in communal areas , we prefer aqua class , but here again not quite up to mark as far as cabin goes , not much power in shower even when head replaced! Dinning was good especially in Blu and Tuscan grill , buffet lunch did tend to be a little samey and could be better organised but it is a smaller ship alround , which also meant fewer areas to just sit and relax with a coffee or a drink , martini bar was far too noisy which was a shame as we usually go there for pre dinner drinks. Can’t comment on shows , only went to one but it was ok . The service was good every where just what you’d expect from celebrity . Bit disappointed by on board shopping choices . Very disappointed in shore excursion in Dubai for 4x4 dune drive camel ride and refreshments , camel ride was only once around parking area and refreshments not really Bedouin style . Biggest problem was not being able to find a sun lounger in day as so many selfish people would put towels books etc on them before breakfast and often leave them there for long periods in day while they went to do something else , it is celebrities policy to remove towels left after 40 mins , but difficult to police as people were so aggressive, shame on you if you were one of these selfish individuals . Is there anything better than being in the warm winter sunshine when it is snowing at home? Or having a Yuletide suntan! This was a delightful cruise combining relaxation, we had five at sea days, and the chance to visit a real crossover of destinations. From touring privately the slums of Mumbai to the opulence of Dubai all in four days. Celebrity Cruises are very good. The entertainment was superb, its director a really nice guy even if he mentioned the Ashes score once or twice! No complaints whatsoever about the way we were treated. Our only gripe, shared by many fellow passengers, was the number of extras you had to pay for. 18% service charge per drink is extortionate particularly when being served at the bar. The push for gratuities is too clinical and the tips suggestions almost obscene. Why the housekeeper is deemed as only deserving of a tip three times less than your table waiter is crazy and stinks of upstairs downstairs which is so wrong. We chose to cancel our daily gratuities and instead gave a far fairer allocation of our tips. Although it didn't overall affect us the pool staff need to ensure that deckchairs are not reserved by 7am. If a deckchair(s) has not been used in 30-45 minutes maximum than it should be cleared to allow others to use them. One passengers argument was that she had got up early for her chair rather than lazing in bed; then admitted being in bed before ten the night before! So those who chose to enjoy the evening entertainment and stayed out and slept in later came down to find few available deckchairs other than those with towels, a book yet nobody on them. If Celebrity want to appeal to younger travelers who stay up and get up later than they need to take firm action over the sunrise reserving of deckchairs. I got up early one day and found the deckchairs overlooking the pool all taken by 7.41am! Not being used but reserved; one couple didn't actually sit on their chairs till after 12pm. Read Less
