We drove from our home in Phoenix to Los Angeles and spent the night at the Best Western nearest the port. The hotel was nicer than expected, next door to Denny’s (which was also nicer than expected) and included 7 nights of free parking while we were on the cruise. We had an “aqua” cabin so ate in the “Blu” restaurant thank goodness. The food was good but had a lot better. The “Blu” was only open for breakfast and dinner. I have to say that this was probably not the best Cruise Experience.. The specialty dining was not any better than going to the regular dining. I find it to be a waste of money. I did three specialty dining on this trip and did not find them to be any better than going to the dining room. Also, the main dining room the service is poor.
