Small Ship with some Good and Bad

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

The Good - This is a smaller ship so slightly more personal touch than the larger ships and you will meet the same people and recognize faces fairly quickly. The facilities on board are fairly limited compared to the more modern larger ships but none the less still very good. The restaurants in particular Luminae for suite guests were very good - slightly limited standard menu but the food ...

We chose this cruise because having travelled extensively both by land and sea through Asia we hadn’t touched on Indonesia other than Borneo and the itinerary appealed to us. Embarkation was quick and efficient and we were able to access our stateroom immediately. The ship was lovely and very easy to negotiate our way around it. Public areas had lots of seating and were all aesthetically ...

This cruise was cancelled twice due to covid, but we finally got to do it in January. We embarked in Bali, and was very impressed with the organisation and friendliness of the staff. The cabin, balcony, and beds were comfortable, and adequate. The trips were quite expensive, and usually ended in a shopping experience! But that isn’t unusual. A couple of days into the cruise, we were ...

Loved the ship and crew, ports mainly awful

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Wanted to visit this part of Asia. Started off in Singapore with 2 nights in a hotel, loved it but very expensive. Arrived on Solstice and first impressions was she is getting old and quite run down. Cabin furniture old and worn and balcony really shabby - chairs not at all inviting. Beds were comfortable and linen clean. Most of the ports we stopped at were industrial, with a couple in ...

Joined the ship in Singapore, embarkation a bit clunky not as smooth as others we’ve experienced but overall ok. Luggage delivered promptly and all in tact. We had a balcony stateroom on deck 8, pleasantly surprised by the size and particularly the shower was much better than many, plenty of room. Lots of storage in our room, AC worked well, spacious balcony with comfortable chairs, very large ...

BENOA PORT EMBARKING:Waiting area perfect and covered but the cruise should ensure a plan B incase of crazy weather. We finally boarded right by the ship in sweltering heat where kids and elderly were having a heat stroke under no coverage with long cues until finally at the last minute Banoa port staff brought out seats and had celebrity staff giving out umbrellas. I travel to Bali alot and know ...

The Staff…Oceanview Dining (Esther et al) and the Room Attendant, Matt were Exceptional

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

My sister selected this cruise for my 70th birthday celebration. The staff in the Oceanview Dining Room and our Room Attendant Matt were good, they made the cruise enjoyable. The New Year Eve’s party was good except there were no Appetizers or Drinks, we had to purchase drinks all night. Champagne was served at midnight. One day I left my Fanny Pack in the 14th Floor bathroom, the handbag/purse ...

Another Joyful Cruise By Celebrity

Embarkation in Dubai was long. There was an issue with the check-in system which stated that passengers required a Thailand visa, which we didn't. Staff had to manually override this for each cabin, however only one person could do it, we were in line for about 45 minutes, I did hear of others being in line for 5 hours. A bit disappointed that there wasn't any champagne or juice as a welcoming ...

Japan on Millennium Nov 2023

Our first visit to Japan onboard Celebrity Millennium gave us many highlights of this fabulous country. The 12 night round trip from Tokyo visited 9 ports. We did not take any Celebrity excursions. As we are a group of 11 Australians we plan our own private shore excursions in each port. We can cover so many more sites and get more information from our private guides than on the ships large ...
