Disappointing and we won't be sailing with Celebrity for a while.

First off, we're experienced cruisers. This was #31 across all brands but mainly with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. It was also our third Celebrity cruise in the last 6 months. This cruise gets 2 stars. One for the itinerary which was outstanding (Antarctica) and was the reason we took the cruise. The second star is for the crew. Even though they appeared to be significantly understaffed and ...

Celebrity Eclipse Food and Service A Big Disappointment

We chose this particular cruise because of the Antarctica Itinerary. We had been to Buenos Aires, Ushuia, Montevideo and Stanley, Falkland Islands previously. Antarctica islands were fantastic. We are Elite (almost Elite Plus) on Celebrity and in a Concierge Veranda stateroom which was fine. On previous Celebrity cruise ships we had experienced good food and were looking forward to same on the ...

Celebrity knew there were problems with the ship.

We wanted to go to see penguins and visit Antarctic. We were informed by Celebrity 7 days before departure that the ship was having propulsion issues, but we were not allowed to cancel the cruise. We ended up missing 2 and 1/2 ports. There were only four ports of call. We did go to Antarctic, which was great, but we missed seeing any Rookeries for the penguins. This was very disappointing. ...

Shame on you Celebrity

It is mind blowing that a cruise line could allow a ship with serious propulsion problems to head down to Antarctica. And greed can be the only motive. Crew and staff and food were excellent but that misses the point. The fact that two ports of call were missed and one stop curtailed tells its own story. And it was also interesting to hear the cruise director and presenter Mickey Live begging us ...

I have read the other reviews on this cruise and would agree that most of the amenities and customer service on board were quite good. Food, accommodation, entertainment, destination information from MickeyLive etc. all very acceptable. The problem is that it is not a cruise one buys just to get away and relax and be entertained. This cruise is destination specific and contains locations that ...

Wish I paid extra for another cruise line to Antarctica

I cruised Celebrity when they first launched 1989. They had bought another cruise ship. It was squeaky. I do recall an exceptional wine list. I want to cruise my 6th continent for a 'big birthday' and chose celebrity because of date and price. I flew into Buenos Aires a few days early to hedge my bets. I enjoyed exploring the city on my own and with local tour operators. Check-in went ...

Disappointing for trip of a lifetime for 60th birthday

The ship has propulsion problems which led to a compromised itinerary with only 1 1/2 ports in 14 days. This was a problem cruise and we were not given the opportunity to cancel for a full refund prior to cruise. There was many many complaints on the ship and continue to be directly with Celebrity to which there has been little to no response. I am at a loss for words to describe how the company ...

Celebrity Cruises puts a faulty vessel into the Great Southern Ocean

We wanted to see Antarctica and some ports of call in South America and Mulvenas Is. This was offered by the cruise on CC Infinity. Just before we left Celebrity cancelled Pt Madryn because the vessel was under-powered. What CC did not tell us was that Infinity had been operating for some time under-powered. The whole cruise ran late from the start and Celebrity knew that it would. it reached ...

As an Elite Captain's Club member on Celebrity Infinity's Antarctica cruise sailing January 22nd from Buenos Aires, I related my disappointment to the Concierge Mr. Hernandez in the Library on the 8th floor. He basically blew me off. I have already booked 4 cabins on a Celebrity Cruise in the Caribbean next February. I thinking we may need to cancel and change lines. I have not heard one word ...

We do not typically cruise, but chose this vacation SOLELY because of the itinerary. The Good: The staff are amazing. Food and drinks are excellent and plentiful. Antarctica is absolutely spectacular. The Juanico Winery excursion in Montevideo was phenomenal (Karla our guide was amazing). I can't really comment on the other excursions because it is really the only full ...
