We had booked this cruise originally for July 2020; however, cancelled twice due to COVID pandemic. Happy to say we were finally able to cruise this time.
Embarkation in Seattle (Smith Cove - Pier 91) was easy. We flew into Seattle the day before and stayed at Hotel Sorrento ... a historic Seattle hotel about a 15 minute taxi ride to the port. We arrived at the port at approximately 10:30 ...
Arriving in Canada for the first time was the perfect opportunity to tick off our bucket list item, an Alaskan Cruise, the inside passage.
We are very loyal cruisers with Celebrity Cruises, and were excited to see they had an inside passage cruise leaving Vancouver in early July, a few days after our arrival, so it slotted in perfectly.
Following is a summary of our unforgettable Inside ...
We’d done an Alaska cruise 5 years ago and thought it would be fantastic for our kids and grandkids, so we booked 4 SRs for all and took all. It is a perfect itinerary for the 3 generations.
Boarding was Very Smooth. Next to us was the RCL ship and it had a line that ran the length of the dock while Celebrity had us just walk in, go through a bit of a line and all went well.Works when we show ...
We just returned from our 7 day Alaska cruise on board eclipse, and we had an amazing time. Like everyone it’s been 2 years since we cruised and we had almost forgotten just how much we loved cruising on celebrity.
This was our first ‘cold’ cruise but we were exceptionally lucky and the weather was amazing. Yes breezy but Sunny, warm and exceptionally clear.
Celebrity has not lost its edge ...
We selected this cruise in order to see the Hubbard Glacier and we were not disappointed! Check it was well staffed and the queues were for immigration. We arrived at our alloted time and it was not too long before we were settled into our stateroom with balcony. Our room was clean and Mario kept everything in good order with the minimum of fuss. A nice bottle of wine awaited us and a small ...
We have never been to Alaska and heard nothing but Rave reviews regarding taking an Alaskan Cruise. This was our first time on a Celebrity ship and were advised by our travel agent to book with Celebrity and its ship the Millennium as it was recently refurbished. We found the Renovated Millennium to be beautiful and well done. The ship was close to 3/4's full due to just starting again after Covid ...
We live in western Canada and had FCC to use so decided it made the most sense to sail out of a port that was: a) in the same country we are in, and b) sailing to places that are drivable if there are repeats of the past couple of years and we need to suddenly change plans. So Vancouver to Alaska made the most sense.
We originally booked a Sky Suite on a splurge, then decided to really go ALL ...
This was our second time on Celebrity, and first time to Alaska. No cruises for the past two years due to COVID, and we were happy to be back! This was a great decision for us as we cruised out of and returned to our home-town Vancouver BC. No flights, no hotels, no stress!
Embarkation: Check in on-line and upload of documentation was fairly easy. Once at the terminal we had very minimal wait, ...
1st time on Celebrity and I was impressed with the excellent service, ship cleanliness, and entertainment. Captain Leo was engaged and very visible with the passengers and presented life sayings from his grandfather. Cruise Director David was lively and engaging presenting the right balance for the cruise clientele. Cabin steward (Early) maintained the cabin in spotless condition twice per ...
From the moment we boarded the Solstice until the day we departed, the crew of the Solstice gave us an exceptional cruising experience. Yes, as some people have said, the interior of the ship is dated and she is ready for her retrofitting to a Retreat vessel. But hat being said, some older furniture and a few carpet stains could not ruin our voyage. We ate in Luminae as we stayed in a Suite, ...
