Enjoyed the ship, the people, and the employees. These folks work hard and pull off a logistical feet and make it look easy.
Met most expectations and exceeded them in a number of areas.
Enjoyed the MDR; food and service were great! Yes, the portions are small, just order two if you need to.
Entertainment was very good; not necessarily my style but very good nevertheless. Music ...
This was my first cruise with Celebrity and my second cruise to Alaska. My first cruise to Alaska was on NCL's Bliss. I had read that this cruise line was "upscale" however my experience was mediocre. The buffet food and main dining room food was sub-par. The wait staff were pleasant. I didn't eat at a specialty restaurant, so I cannot speak on that. There were very few activities geared for ...
Three generations including ten grandkids, 2 to 13 years. This was an ideal itinerary getting Texans out of the summer heat and seeing sights even many of the adult kids had never experienced. Celebrity has a good kids program and that was a major benefit.
Ship size was a compromise--large enough to have multiple activities and not so huge that there are no intimate spaces.
Ship was full ...
We took this cruise to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday. We knew this was an older, smaller ship but we liked the itinerary so went with it. While the ship is older and could use updating, it is nevertheless impeccably clean and well maintained. That is one thing you can say for Celebrity....their ships are always immaculately clean! Our veranda cabin was smaller than what I am accustomed ...
We're an active couple in our 60s; we've wanted to do a cruise to Alaska for a long time; we booking this one because it fit in our schedule and a good last minute deal, we booked it just 3 weeks before sailing.
We've cruised before on NCL and we enjoyed those, but think Celebrity is a notch above.
Embarkation went very smoothly, we had flown into Seattle 2 days ahead and took Amtrak from ...
We took a 7 day cruise to Alaska on celebrity Millennium. Ship was old and needed to be updated. Shore excursions were very expensive for what they offered.
ATV tour is a complete waste of time and money. They take you on a gravel road for 2 miles and then you turn around and come back. This costs $225. When I complained to Celebrity, they said sorry no refunds. We scammed you.
Most ports ...
This was an Alaska itinerary departing from Vancouver, BC. We thought the Eclipse was in great shape overall! Captain Leo was entertaining and informative! We were in a sky suite and had a great cruise! The MDR served some of the best meals we enjoyed on board! We were also never disappointed by the quality and options in the Oceanview Cafe, but it can sometimes become overwhelming by the number ...
The Good
Vancouver:
We love the city. There is always a ton for us to do and we feel very welcome in Vancouver.
Itinerary:
Many destinations in Alaska are only accessible by boat or plane, so taking a cruise is an excellent way to experience this wonderful state. The truth is that Icy Strait Point, Juneau, and Ketchikan are excellent ports of call. The wonderful views of the inside ...
The 2023 President Cruise was abso-tively 'over-the-top'.
This was my third time on SOLSTICE, my very FIRST cruise aboard Celebrity was on her in 2010 and she's as fresh appearing as I recall (and I have a great memory!).
It was another (my 25th aboard Celebrity ships) Xcellent sailing.
Service is unwaveringly Xceptional. As was the food. Ditto for entertainment.
This frequent ...
My girlfriend had cold type symptoms towards the end of the cruise and she tried a covid test that she had, which indicated a faint positive. Since it was an expired test, she visited the medical center day for Covid testing. The Dr. came out and told her she was negative but never showed her the test or documented results.
Two days later (after getting off ship), I had symptoms and tested ...
