Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

This was my first cruise with Celebrity however I have traveled several times on other lines. I was expecting something else as i was told if I like the previous cruise i was on this was the next level - well i was greatly disappointed. The staff - sure there was about 4-5 that i would say went above and beyond - the rest couldn't give a dam, in fact in one bar when my choice of drink ran out ...

We decided to take this cruise because of the Itinerary... The check in was quick although since we were returning a rental car in Vancouver, they had us going up and down couple of times until we got on the ship. We were in cabin 7111 and our steward was great. No complains there.... The cabin was smaller than what we are used to based on their other ships, but it was OK... Bed - it was ...

I went with Celebrity to Alaska before with my mom, about a decade ago. It was great. I decided to go back with my mother-in-law, and it's not great. Some elements of the cruise are just wonderful. But there is SO MUCH wrong that I really can't give it a better review. The wonderful: Some of the staff. The problem is that it's only SOME of the staff. On multiple occasions, I had a ...

Huge, impersonal, shopping mall

I chose this cruise because the medical centre has dialysis machines and my wife has kidney failure. However at the last minute she was unable to travel. Celebrity Cruises insisted that I pay the fare for a single person travelling in the cabin although the dialysis company did refund some of the cost of dialysis and a small portion of the additional cost that dialysis patients and their partners ...

The destinations were fun. The food was good. Customer service was horrible.

We spent a lot of money on this cruise. We were not treated very well by the staff. They were rude and condesending. They gave away our dinner reservations that were made months in advance. They didn't have enough food in the buffet. Lines for food and drinks on the decks were very long. It's like the didn't plan on the ship being sold out. Marterdi was rude. Waiters were rude. Shows were fun but ...

Alaskan Cruise - Celebrity Millennium (Seward to Vancouver BC Route)

My wife and I just finished a Alaskan cruise on Celebrity Millennium on August 17th, 2018. Here are our detailed comments: An Alaskan cruise, inside passage, was a bucket list item for us. We chose the Millennium because rated good (not exceptional), and it's not so huge it could not get close to the glaciers. The boat is pretty worn. Completely functional, but worn. We had a sky suite ...

Very poor experience for the money

This cruise was recommended by our travel agent. We paid over $3500 Au for Concierge class and whilst the cabin was reasonably comfortable it certainly wasn’t luxurious. Embarkation took over an hour as we had to wait whilst 2 ships passengers passed slowly through US Customs. The ship is old and dated. The main dining area was overcrowded (sometimes nowhere to sit), the food was mediocre ...

This was our 3rd cruise to Alaska, but the first on Celebrity.... Never again will we use Celebrity! We cruised on the Solstice going to Alaska We have lots of comments to make. First of all, our travel agent told me that Celebrity was one of the better cruise lines.... more like the cadillac. We found this to be totall incorrect as soon as we boarded. We wanted a mini suite but they ...

Glacier Tour a Rip Off

Chose this cruise to see Alaska and the Hubbard Glacier. The Infinity is an older and smaller ship than others we'd been on and certainly had less to offer than the bigger ships. The main dining area felt claustrophobic and the buffet area was very difficult to maneuver through when busy. The cabin was clean but smaller than we'd had on previous Celebrity cruises. Entertainment was always great. ...

My extended family decided on Celebrity Alaska Cruise. This was my first time on Celebrity. Dealing with website precruise was dreadful. Embarkation was very smooth, so expectation rose, but welcome lunch in MDR for concierge class was a joke. You only had a few lunch options, all of which were terrible. Skip it and go to the Ocean View Cafe. Ship was nice looking. Some nice bars. ...
