We wanted to visit Alaska and were interested in this cruise because of the 6-day pre-cruise land tour from Fairbanks to Seward and the 6-day post-cruise land tour from Vancouver to Calgary. This was our second time on this particular ship/cruise. We loved it the first time, so wanted to do it again. As always with Celebrity, embarkation was fast and easy. We were some of the first people on board and were able to easily pick and choose where to sit at the lunch buffet.

We chose this trip for the land portion visiting Denali. Having cruised the inside passage twice, we decided it was time to see a bit of the main land. This was our 3rd sailing with Celebrity.
Don't get me wrong, Alaska was AMAZING. The passage thru Endecott fjord and the Dawes glacier was a true Experience. The ship got very close to the glacier and Captain Tasos made sure everyone got a good view from their balcony, regardless what side of the ship you were on.

I was apprehensive about the ship's condition because of some negative reviews. We had a balcony cabin mid ship. It was perfect, quiet, spotless with lots of built-ins so we had plenty of storage and it made the cabin roomy. The balcony was adequate and unobstructed.
