We wanted to visit Alaska and were interested in this cruise because of the 6-day pre-cruise land tour from Fairbanks to Seward and the 6-day post-cruise land tour from Vancouver to Calgary. We enjoyed both land tours, but the Alaskan one went smoother because of an accompanying tour guide and bus with driver even though most of the tour was on train. The guise and driver were fantastic. On the ...
We arrived in Seattle the afternoon before sailing. My wife and I were in Seattle after a cross country train trip in September, and we had enjoyed the traditional tourist destinations at that time. It is one of the most beautiful destinations on the west coast and has some of the best food we have had. We highly recommend Pike Market as an enjoyable location, especially with a tour guide who is ...
This was our second time on this particular ship/cruise. We loved it the first time, so wanted to do it again. As always with Celebrity, embarkation was fast and easy. We were some of the first people on board and were able to easily pick and choose where to sit at the lunch buffet.
As much as I did love this cruise, I have to say that the Millennium is showing her age. Not in our staterooms so ...
We chose this trip for the land portion visiting Denali. Having cruised the inside passage twice, we decided it was time to see a bit of the main land. While our tour guide was excellent and the sights and activities were fabulous, the lodgings Celebrity arranged were less than optimal. Somehow, we expected the same caliber as on the ship...disappointment.
We have sailed, twice before, on the ...
This was our 3rd sailing with Celebrity.
Don't get me wrong, Alaska was AMAZING. The passage thru Endecott fjord and the Dawes glacier was a true Experience. The ship got very close to the glacier and Captain Tasos made sure everyone got a good view from their balcony, regardless what side of the ship you were on.
If it hadn't been for Captain Tasos and Steve, the cruise director, I might ...
Ours was a family cruise. We sailed with two families each with two children, ages 7 -14.
There was an excellent balance of onboard activities for the grandchildren and the adults. The bingo turned out to be a family affair. The families enjoyed the various shore excursions, but all agreed the floatplane trip out of Ketchikan with Taquan Air was the highlight of the cruise. If possible ask ...
My husband and I have cruised many times. We thoroughly enjoyed the Millennium. We stayed in Aqua Class for the first time. Blu was wonderful. We enjoyed every meal. We were with two other couples and our table for six was always waiting for us at 6:00. We ate at Qsine one night and it wasn't just dinner it was an experience! Each course was an artistic presentation. It was a lot of food ...
My wife and I recently cruised on Celebrity Millennium to Alaska and were very disappointed in the condition of the ship, the quality of the food(in the metropolitan dinning room) and the poor service throughout the cruise.
Let me start with the condition of the ship, we had a concierge level cabin with balcony on deck 8. The room was typical in size and decor a little tired looking. The ...
I was apprehensive about the ship's condition because of some negative reviews. We had a balcony cabin mid ship. It was perfect, quiet, spotless with lots of built-ins so we had plenty of storage and it made the cabin roomy. The balcony was adequate and unobstructed.
The entertainment was a surprise - the quality and ability of the dancers, singers, musicians and performers were amazing. I ...
Let me start by saying that some people must be born cranky. I was bracing myself for a potentially disappointing trip based on some of the previous reviews but I could not have been more pleased with the overall experience.
It's a fact, the Millenium is 17 years old, it's not a secret, you should know that before you go. The ship shows its age in places but no where that it counts. Ship ...
