First Alaska Cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

I booked this cruise after my Northern Europe cruise on Silhouette was cancelled. I booked through the casino for what was at first an almost complimentary cruise. I decided to upgrade us to Aqua Class. We stayed in 9164 Aft Balcony which is a huge accessible cabin. Boarding was easy as just walking on with proof of vaccination and negative COVID test results before boarding. This was a ...

I love Alaska and have enjoyed Celebrity on a previous cruise. The ship was only booked to about one third capacity. The weather was cool and wet. Probably normal for this time of year. The ship’s staff was wonderful. I was able to upgrade my ocean view cabin to a balcony cabin as soon as I got onboard for $100. Some excursions were cancelled due to low participation. Not sure if all passengers ...

From start to finish we had an excellent week on the lovely Millenium. I surprised my DH for his birthday and bid up from our interior to Aqua class - and won (I admit it was a gift for me as well). Easiest boarding ever - we arrived at pier 66 at 12:15 with a 12:30 time and waved right in. You will stop 3 times for paperwork review but the entire process was only about 15". Then on to the ...

This was our first time cruising with Celebrity. We have cruised with NCL, Carnival and RCL in the past. The ship was very nice, it has been refurnished recently and looks great. It was a last minute cruise, had some vacation time to use. We did Alaska 26 years ago - our first cruise! We enjoyed this cruise! The ship was only 60% capacity which was really nice - no lines. We went with ...

Good, but not great

Overall, a good cruise. We traveled with an 8 and 10 year old, and all involved had a pretty good time. The crew was quite good - highly engaged, friendly, and helpful. They really worked hard. Food was a mix. Appetizers and soups were typically very good. Fruits were very good. Meats were typically lower quality and overcooked. Desserts looked lovely, but were a bit bland. Breads were ...

I know that everyone is in need of a real vacation and Celebrity Millennium was there for us - Seattle, Ketchikan, Dawes Glacier, Juneau, Skagway, Seattle. We are a couple, average age 65 with 20+ cruises on Celebrity, Azamara, Oceania, Seabourn, Viking Ocean, Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Norwegian. Packing - You will need your fluffy winter jacket for the glacier; otherwise, temps required ...

Some of the Cruise was Great, Some Good & Some Bad

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

There were several problems with this cruise but there was a lot of great things too. I will start with the problems, when I got to check-in, the clerk couldn't find my reservation, so we had to get a supervisor who finally found it but it had the wrong cabin, I upgraded to a Concierge Class about 3 months before the cruise. Finally, he got the right information and I got my key. My credit card ...

We wanted a quick getaway leaving from the port in our home city, and I wanted to see San Fran again. Overall, the cruise was great, as it always is with Celebrity. Great food & service. The main dining room had delicious food, of course. Our servers were great. But there was an overall confusion when we dined there. One night, we were there over two hours because the food didn't come very ...

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

We chose this cruise for a fall getaway to some warm weather. We didn’t do much tourist stuff as we’ve been to Hawaii and the islands several times. We enjoyed a couple of days in Honolulu at the Iilikai before departure on the cruise. SHIP: Is in pretty good condition overall. Yes some areas and items are becoming worn but not so obviously so it felt decrepit in any way. There are ...
