We choose this Cruise to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Wanted to step up in class for this event. Service was less than impressed.
We fly into Anchorage the day pior and took the train to Seward spectacular! Embarkation was uneventful. Ship pushed acholic packages hard. We purchased premium non-acholic package. Long story short beware!! Ship doesn't stock vitamin water in the bars ...
I love the size of the millennium ship. Not too big, easy on and off the ship. Celebrity is our favorite cruise line. The ship was very clean but it is definitely due for some upgrades. Food was good overall, better than average buffets. The steakhouse was very good. Always celebrity quality as far as service. Really miss the wine cellars from the past, the drink packages have replaced that option ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. The sights were breathtaking especially the Hubbard Glacier.
The excursions in Juneau (whale watching and Mendenhall Glacier), Skagway (railway) and Ketchikan (lumberjack show) were great. Saw many whales and eagles.
The ship staff were friendly and very accommodating. Steve, the cruise ...
This cruise was part of a self drive holiday in Canada. Ended in Vancouver to board the ship. We had previously sailed with celebrity many years ago when we were new to cruising. At that time we thought it was on par with our main goto cruiseline P&O. We had read some very negative reports about this ship, but we always go with an open mind.
After a pleasant walk from our lovely ...
Chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Some helpful and friendly staff but lack of information a problem for First Time Cruisers. Dining was not an enjoyable experience. Main dining room too manic and food very average. Buffet style food generally a better option for variety. Qsine restaurant novel but poor food. Entertainment was standard stuff, not yo out taste at all.
Views of wildlife ...
This was our first cruise and unfortunately we have decided it just isn't for us. We should have maybe started with a cruise around the Mediterranean first, stopping off somewhere everyday but as we wanted to see Alaska we decided to do it this way. As we were at sea so much we felt trapped. There were abundant things to do but most of them involved spending even more money, e.g. Art and Jewellery ...
Family cruise ( nine adults) two years in the planning. Alaska was a bucket list for us and we carefully selected excursions that fit our family. We were so happy with the intenerary, the ship itself, and the options offered. It was a wonderful experience for us all and we would definitely rebook with Celebrity again. One family member had special dietary needs that were well managed and he was ...
Knowing nothing about specific cruise lines, I chose the one that AAA was offering. We felt like we hit the jackpot. The ship was beautiful, the food was fabulous and I can't imagine a better crew taking care of our every need. The entertainment was excellent and there was always a long list of activities for the day. I used the gym several times and it was modern, clean and the view was to die ...
This was a delayed honeymoon cruise for us. We went with Celebrity as we have wanted to try this cruise line and felt Alaska would be the best place to do that. We wanted an aft balcony cabin for the views of both sides of the ship, and went with the S2 suite as it best suited our needs.
We planned to enjoy all the dining opportunities offered, but ended up eating in the Luminae almost every ...
The first week by Celebrity Cruises done on land was the worst land tour we have ever taken and we have probably done 35 land tours all over the world. No food included and no choices on where to eat.Nothing was open, no restaurants , no coffee shops and the train ride of Alaska was cancelled due to weather. They contacted out this one week to an outside company and had no rep there to have a plan ...
