Take plenty of money if you are on Vista. It was the worst Carnival cruise we have done. Can you imagine you pay extra 6 bucks for fish and chips for lunch. We never met our cabin staff and the reflections restaurant was like some sort of cafe in a department store. The food and the service was about the same. There were no TV movies but if you want to see a movie in the theater you pay. You ...
We enjoyed our Breeze cruise so much, and the Vista was so hyped as the flagship, that we booked this two years ago. Much was made of the new Havana Cabanas and all of the amenities.
Here are some things you need to know. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on the Spa Package. The Spa area is so oversold that you cant get in to use the chairs, they are always taken.
Gone are the days of find dining. ...
I am particularly disappointed by the Lido deck and the ability of the staff to keep coffee and coffee cups in adequate supply. During the peak of early morning breakfast, the coffee pots would go empty and cups would run out. A sign on the machine instructed people to use a new cup each time.
This was a new ship that was commissioned in spring and the carpet on the stairs was shredding. ...
Not impressed with the ship one bit, not worth all the "hype" it was given prior to going in service.
First time I NEVER bought a drink on a cruise due to the VAT. Carnival should be ashamed of their selves for not disclosing this fact prior to sailing or prior to the cancellation date.
Food was so bad in the buffet, deli and the new BBQ, I wouldn't give it to my dogs.
"Dive In" movie ...
We chose this cruise for two reasons, firstly it was a new ship and secondly the destinations. Although we had cruised many times and had taken 6 previous trips with Carnival we had never cruised in the Mediterranean and thought it would be nice to visit the noted ports of call.
The ship was not a disappointment, very well appointed, well maintained and with a good variety of places and ...
Chose this cruise as it was a new ship and we thought the price was good. The ship, food, entertainment and service was a big disappointment to both of us. This was our eighth cruise, our first and last with Carnival. They can learn a lot from there competitors as a lack of training was obvious where the staff especially in the dining areas were concerned.
The so called entertainment at night, ...
My wife's Birthday surprise didn't turn out as expected, just a money magnet pay extra for everything, plus surcharges and gratuities on drinks and services. Will not be travelling with Carnival ever again, take advice DONT GO WITH CARNIVAL, Entertainment not worth going to ,pay for Imax movies, pay to use sauna, food and service need attention (same menu every night) pay extra for specialty menu, ...
This was cruise number 12 for us, did a lot of Royal Caribbean, 2 Celebrity and one NCL…Heard a lot of good of Carnival from friends…So with the brand new ship in EU waters we thought a perfect opportunity to try Carnival. The ship looks good, but most of the staff and crew (about 75%) had no clue what they were doing. Worst was the dining room staff, the most horrible I have even seen, not one ...
We chose this cruise as it was a brand new Carnival Ship thinking it would be awesome, we were very disappointed in comparison with other Cruise Companies, the lifts were dreadful, we were on the 14th floor and only 2 lifts to this floor, we waited ages for lifts and had a person in a wheelchair.
No reserved areas for wheelchair or disabled passengers in any of the function rooms or ...
This cruise was chosen primarily for its itinerary and also for the fact that it was a brand new ship.
We flew into Athens on the Sunday as the cruise was starting on the Tuesday, which gave us a full day in Athens to explore and relax before the cruise.
On arrival at Pireaus we experienced no real problems with check in as we got there about 11 am. However, we had a new person checking ...
