We have been on many Carnival Cruises and love their boats and service. That being said this is the worst cruise we had ever been on. It was like they cut down on everything to save money. The AC on the boat hardly worked especially in our room. The food was poor and they closed the buffet often even when there were lines. They made a larger boat just to add more people. They didn't account for ...
I am an experienced cruiser. I have Platinum Carnival status with 12 cruises on Carnival, 10 cruises on Royal Caribbean, and 3 cruises on Norwegian. There are some good things and some bad things on the new flagship Vista, but the bad far outweigh the good and the ship just misses the mark. It is my least favorite Carnival ship by far.
Basically what they have done is taken the same ...
Been on 3 previous cruises because my girlfriend and I like the amount of travel to cost.
Over crowded boat, so get ready for lines everywhere.
Staff is not trained in service or etiquette except for a few (Alchemy Bar).
Food is mediocre at best.
Comedy shows were good.
Stage shows were not.
Cruise director Excellent.
Out of 18 people, 9 are still sick out of our ...
My wife & I. Are diamond carnival cruisers (47) & took our son , daughter in law , & grandson for a New Years cruise. We paid more than average for the newest ship & got less. Less service for one ....the dinning room waiters on average serve 30-40 people per seating. The dinning experience in general was sub standard for cruising ....poor food quality & choice. Oh & the dinning room a Walmart ...
It seems that Carnival has built a big ship but understaffed it and did not allow any extra amenities. Still only 4 buffet lines and the dining room that we ate in only held 700 people and was a single story. When we spoke to the Maitre de Ken he didn't like the ship and was transferring to the Pride. In fact of all the staff I spoke with NOT ONE LIKED THE .CARNIVAL VISTA. He also shared ...
This was my 10th cruise, 8th with Carnival. Deck one, interior. Our routine is a few days of relaxation on the Serenity deck, viewing the main pool games/contests, comedy shows nightly, followed by casino and dancing. Listing our disappointments with suggestions for Carnival as you can't fix what you don't know about.
SERENITY deck (designed to allow adults only to relax)-
Bigger than ...
Where do I begin. I sat out on Lido deck two afternoons and on neither afternoon did any servers ever approach to see if I needed a drink. if you needed a drink, you went to the bar yourself. Since that was the case for everyone, the bars were very busy with long waits to get drinks.
Two separate times at dinner we ordered drinks we never received.
Two different times we were at FredFrog ...
I wanted to experience the largest carnival cruise and I was disappointed on the staff how dirty the dinning room tables were and bathrooms The dinning experience was horrible wait time is a joke they need to build their standards up the cabin phone is on the desk not at the bedside table embarkation was a long 2 hour process with staff not knowing whats going on The entertainment was ...
I am glad I waited to write this review after cruising in December of 2017 on Carnival as it gave me a lot more perspective.
In November of 2016, I took my adult children and grandchild on our first cruise ever, so excited to be among the first to cruise on the Carnival Vista out of Miami.
Embarkation - long, long lines out the doors. Took about 3 hours to board.
Cabin - 4 of us in a ...
This was our 7th Carnival cruise. We sailed on the Vista followed by the RCI Harmony of the Seas, BTB. I’m glad we did the Vista first or we would have been really disappointed with it after sailing on the Harmony.
First, Carnival acted like they have never handled a large crowd. They had trouble with embarkation and left 3 hours late in the dark. They also fell behind with debarkation. Come on ...
