We booked this cruise 2 years ago with 36 friends and family members coming along with us. I am a gold member for Carnival and this was my 5th cruise with Carnival and definitely will be my last cruise. The good points would be the staff in the dinning room and the housekeeping crew they were nice and did a great job and the food at Guys burgers and the Cantina was very good. The rest was ...

Anything but a "Funship"

This was our third cruise with Carnival. Normally, we are a loyal Royal Caribbean customer, but this cruise was organized by a friend and it was over New Year's Eve so thought it would be fun. Unfortunately, this was anything but a "Funship." The bar staff with the exception of two people were very unfriendly. Almost made you feel like it was an imposition to ask for a drink. The food was ...

Vista is over hyped and I was underwhelmed!

After seeing the you tube video, we decided that a Christmastime cruise on the Vista would be something we would like to try. Hearing that it books up quickly, we signed up just about a year in advance. Since the ship was new, it is a little more pricey than other cruises. On December 16th, we headed to the Port of Miami for our 8 day cruise. The first impression when boarding was a bit ...

Very Disappointing

Embarkation: really no complaints, was able to register at miami airport and walked right on the ship. room wasn't ready, so we grabbed something to eat on the lido deck. Ship: there are simply just too many people on this ship. Everything we wanted to do there was a line for. We were fine with taking the stairs if elevators were always full. they cramped all these people on this ship (just ...

The Vista is already falling apart

I had heard bad things about this ship but I assumed it was growing pains of a new ship. But, more than a year later and I can honestly say - Carnival needs to ask for a refund. I cant believe that the Vista is practically new ship. There were repairmen working constantly the entire 8 days I was on this ship. Broken tiles, water leaking from ceilings windows being replace and don't get me ...

Badly Designed Ship

We have sailed many times on Carnival, but have been sailing other cruise lines, recently, for a change. We chose this cruise because it was a chance to try out the new Carnival Vista while going to our favorite island, St. Martin. Well, that didn't happen, due to Irma, so our itinerary was changed. Still, we got to see Carnival's new Flagship. We were not only unimpressed, but depressed. ...

I really wanted to love it

I read numerous negative reviews before sailing and I tried to ignore them because I've always had the opinion of "you're on vacation, how can you have a bad cruise?". I honestly should have listened. I really wanted to love this ship but I really regret spending my money. EMBARKATION: we had an 11:30 time and arrived around 11:15. We had a suite so walked around the terminal for priority ...

We booked Havana Cabin overlooking Pool which was green for 2 days until we asked why the pool is green.Well,it wasn't tile, the pool was dirty; the crew member said wasn't enough chemicals on board,so we went up to deck 10 & those pools were green too.Informed GS & the 3rd day all the pools were clean!Dining is not very good except for Guys burgers, Guy's BBQ, Sushi & the Seafood Shack. We went to ...

We choose this cruise because it was supposed to be a new ship, 8 day cruise, & the ports it was going to. Also the first cruise on Paradise was amazing. But Vista was totally the opposite fist it was scheduled to leave Miami port at 4:00 then rescheduled to leave at 8:00 & then after everyone boarded the said there was something being being repaired on this new ship, but we were still going to ...

Poor Cruising Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Vista

This cruise started off filled with excitement and adventure. However, there were many things that made it less enjoyable. The buffet would always have massive lines and the elevators took an eternity to come down. The elevators seemed always out of service which meant more exercise for us, but not when we were exhausted from daily excursions. I would have liked the adult serenity deck to be open ...
