Port location, ease of embarkation and cost were the main reasons for choosing this ship. The itinerary was changed prior to embarkation - although disappointed, we proceeded with the cruise for the much needed family down time.
Embarkation was smooth. No hiccups. Because we were in suites, we were able to drop off our carryon bags in the room and leave (please leave the area as soon as ...
We love to cruise in the winter, and normally try to do an early December cruise. However, we couldn't book that early and got the first one we could in January. Covid made the cruise feel terribly empty. Now I enjoyed the fact that there were no lines for anything anywhere, but I also love the crowds, so there were pros and cons. That being said, the people on board were amazing (as always). ...
We were on the February 8, 2020 Sailing of the Vista, and I can’t tell you how disappointed I am in how much I did *not* enjoy the Havana experience this year.
We sailed the Carnival Vista in the Havana area this time last year and were so impressed I booked the same area for this year in a Havana Suite and for 2021 in a Havana Cabana and 2022 in a Havana Suite. I’ve spent the past year on the ...
We chose this because it was kid friendly and last minute time off from work. I picked a suite. Even though it was on the lower level I felt a little better just because we were bringing a two year old with us and he’s a climber. Everyone is very nice on the Vista and the older portions of the craft were being maintained properly it feels like.
I have one very very large complaint!!!!!!! The ...
The plan was to take a cruise with my wife and two kids, and that's exactly what we did. While I rate this a 3 out of 5, let me share with you why. First, it comes from my last cruise i took on a Royal Caribbean (Oasis of the Seas) so comparing that mass of a beauty to the vista isn't fair. The comparisons though were night and day. On the Vista food varied but the downside was that for general ...
This was my second cruise on Carnival Cruise Line. The first Cruise was on the the Carnival Freedom January 2018 with a party of 6. It was probably the best vacation I have ever had in my life and since we had such an awesome time on the last Carnival cruise we took a party of 10 on the Carnival Vista and what a difference.
The main problem was that the Vista holds about a thousand more people ...
About Me: This is my 8th cruise on Carnival since 2002. For comparison's sake I've been on the Sensation/Elation/Conquest/Destiny and the Breeze before this cruise. I've traveled in both 1A Upper/Lower Category Rooms and on this voyage the Grand Suite. I quite like the line for it's diverse mix of passengers and lively atmosphere. In addition the Galveston Port is within fairly easy driving ...
Was the worst carnival experience we ever had. By day 3 I cried & wanted to come home.
First night/morning we had a young intoxicated girl enter our room at 4am!! We called security and nobody could explain how she was able to enter our locked cabin. They had maintenance check key locks and door the next day to say nothing malfunctioned and they would just reprogram door. So I was worried ...
We booked the cruise for end of summer, we had to stand in line at guest services 4 times the first day, because our cards wouldn't work for purchases or as our room keys! So our first day we stood in line at guest services for over 1.5 hours trying to get keys to work. At supper we were on anytime dining, so we went to dinner in dining room, we were greeted and seated. After 20 minutes, I ...
We had an ocean suite and we are platinum, so the boarding process was very quick. Only time we stopped was when our carry on went through the x-ray. Friends that had faster to the fun said the same thing, they walked right on to the ship with out stopping. Before muster drill our suitcases were in our room and we had completely unpacked and had things put up before muster. Suite was good, but ...
