Fab in many ways, but

Worst cruise

Review for Carnival Vista to Caribbean - Western

I first want to say I have never written a negative review in my life. But we work very hard to save for our vacations and I know others do too. I simply want to let people know that the Vista is not the average cruise. It is what I would consider a bottom of the barrel cruise. We chose Vista excited to see the new Havana area. When we booked we were told it was open after 7 p.m. When we ...

(First, thank you to all who post!) We were a family of 7 with 3 children. This ship has soooo much to do for all ages! Kudos to the kids' Ocean Club, the water/sports activities, and the entire staff. Generally, we all loved the experience on being on Carnival's newest ship. IMHO: PROs: Spacious interior cabin Amazing kids' activities and programs. Lots of sports and ...

Vista --- pretty ship, that's about it

The ship is newer, so that's a plus. Matt, the cruise director was AHHMAZING, the food was okay. The entertainment was good when we had it. Didnt have a show every night. The comedians were great. This ship DOES NOT have glass elevators in the atrium which contributed to very crowded elevators everywhere. Not sure the artsy funnel piece that replaced those glass elevators was a good move. In the ...

Made me consider other cruise lines

The Havana area made this cruise. The bartenders were amazing and it was great to get away from it all. Our cabin was nice and clean and well cared for. I think the playlist productions have either gone down in quality since I started cruising Carnival 12 years ago, or my standards have gone up. I've seen high school performers with more talent. I did enjoy all the trivia and contests. I went to ...

First Carnival / (4th cruise) -Had a good time!

We picked this last minute becasue the dates matched the week the kids were out of school. We were skeptical about the cruise line butno regrets. The rooms were good, loved the location on deck 3. The rooms attendant was very kind and attentive. I even liked the smell of the body wash in the bathroom. The kids club was fun but the Circle C had terrible hours and supervision. Food was ...

Horrible ship

I'm sitting on deck 5 waiting to end this horrible cruise. I call it horrible because of the ship. I was so excited to get on the new big ship Vista. And this ship is the worst. I've been on numerous other carnival ships. And this one is bad. It is like being in a dungeon. It is dark and cramped. There are no walkways within the ship that are open with windows. You walk in dark crowded hallways. ...

Bad food

On the vista all the buffet food was so terrible we couldn't eat it, it was either over cooked or just plain bad. the dinning rooms food was better but most of the nights the food was not excitable. this was the worst ship I have ever been on, most of the time they closed one buffet line and everyone had to go to the other line, which the food was so terrible we didn't eat. all the other ships I ...

What went well... 1. We loved the breakfast in the Horizon Restaurant. It was always hot and good variety from skillet pancakes, to french toast to scrambles and much more. We only ate at Lido deck one time for breakfast. 2. The pasta bar at Cucina was Excellent. 3. The servers in the Lido area, main dining room, etc. were phenomenal...always checking to see if you needed anything. Our ...

This was our third Carnival Cruise in the past 5 years, all of which left from Galveston. This was our first cruise more than 5 nights. We chose this cruise because it fit a very specific time table in June of 2019. We're from Texas and have visited Galveston before but not this time. I'd recommend spending some time in Galveston if it's your first time, there's plenty of history, food, and fun ...

First time Vista cruise

This was our first time on the Vista, our 19th to date. We have only cruised CCL and this was 14th different ship. We were not impressed with a few things that might be okay for others, we are mature but young at heart and enjoy most activities on board. The biggest disappointment was the atrium in main lobby what a shock no more glass elevators lowered ceiling, sure vortex was cute but lobby was ...
