Carnival Fun, But the Engine Thing is a PROBLEM
"For example, our ship left the last port (Cozumel) "late", but still hours before Carnival Breeze, but Breeze made it back to Galveston on time, but we were hours late to Galveston because of "weather", but Breeze was already docked on time.We have enjoyed all our cruises with Carnival (including this one) and feel that many/most people can enjoy Carnival with the correct expectations (ie at a significant discount you are just NOT going to get the level of service provided on Disney or a luxury line ......"Read More

Does Carnival give out electronic scooters?

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Vista

I've been waiting about three years now to be able to experience Carnival Vista. I decided to take my family on a Christmas Cruise because I felt that would be the best time for us to make memories, as well as take advantage of the general holiday cheer that's typically within the air. Carnival Vista as a Ship and a Crew was amazing, however my experience in relation to its guest in wheelchairs ...

Had a 10 hour drive to Galveston. Stayed at Laquinta on I-45. OK hotel, was very expensive due to motorcycle rally. Annual Motor cycle rally was occurring. Wish I had known about that ahead of time. For anyone interested the rally is the first weekend in November, if you are NOT into cycles you should AVOID going to Galveston during that time. Embarkation was quick and smooth, even ...

I am a Carnival Diamond. My wife and I love the Vista for its features and port of Galveston. This cruise was our worst on the Vista. Much of this was due to the lax cruise director and enforcement (lack of) of policies. For example, debarkation for Diamond (early) is a distinct perk. However, for example, on this cruise they instructed us to be in the restaurant at 8am to "prepare" for early ...

I sailed Carnival Vista with my wife, 16-year-old daughter and her 16-year-old friend. This was my seventh cruise, all with Carnival, since 2006. We chose this cruise for a combination of the itinerary, the proximity to Galveston (about a 9-hour drive) and our interest in the Vista. Overall, we were impressed with the Vista. It's a big, beautiful ship with lots to see and do. Our stateroom was ...

Nothing but long lines everywhere

This was my 4th carnival cruise & my last. I usually purchase faster to the fun to skip the lines getting on the ship & to ensure we get our luggage early, usually by the time you get on the ship, since that's one of the FTTF's selling points. We arrived to the port at our scheduled time & was ushered directly into the regular line, not priority, despite telling each employee we encountered. They ...

We have sailed Carnival 5+ times. I know there are some "Never Carnival" people and if you're one ... clearly this ship isn't for you. However, this review is in the context of comparing the Vista to the other 4 Carnival ships we've sailed (Pride, Glory, Horizon, and Panorama) and also compared to most comparable brands we've sailed RCCL and NCL. We have enjoyed all our cruises with ...

It has been 12 years since I last boarded a Carnival ship and, to be honest, I didn't know what to expect on this one. The Vista reviews on here have been very mixed and, as a senior travelling alone, I had concerns about a wild "party ship" with drunken brawls, noisy corridors and screaming children. So, I am happy to report that I had a delightful cruise overall, finding lots of quiet spaces ...

Just got off the Carnival Vista, 7-day cruise from Galveston to Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel. We had a good time, as always, but there were a few things that bugged/perplexed me. First, the good stuff: We didn’t have to wear a mask anywhere during the entire 7 days! Hallelujah! Kendall Fyre is a super Cruise Director. She has the energy of 10 people. There are plenty of things to ...

We enjoyed the serenity deck(15), the thermal suite, cucina del Capitano restaurant, where I had the Best meal of the cruise when I ordered the short ribs. So very tender an tasty. I enjoyed being able to choose whether to relax or join an activity. We must have walked 50 miles per day on the ship alone.I didn't like the nosiness of the crew,or one staff member from the kitchen informing me that ...

Great cruise

Our kids took this cruise in 2019. They wanted us to go this time. We got a good deal on the price. The itinerary included Cozumel, Roatan Island and Belize. We also liked the choices of food and onboard activities. We got off of the ship at all three ports. At Roatan Island (by Honduras), Carnival did a great job of ensuring that the place was conducive to a fun day. The water was warm and ...
