The Havana Cabanas on the Carnival Vista bring Carnivals concept of having fun to these staterooms. If you are not into having your deck wide open so you meet and talk to your neighbors or walking down the deck and meeting new friends or spending hours sitting in or by the pool and hot tub, this style cabin isn't for you. The pool area was always very quiet and peaceful. So you will have fun meeting people and being able to relax and swim with no crowds. The Havana Cabanas are the perfect cabins on board this ship. The cabins are very nicely decorated in Cuban style colors and decorations. The bathroom is your standard size. I personally rate this cabin style, the best Carnival has ever developed. Awesome just Awesome. Read Less

Overall the cabin was fine - it was slightly smaller than we expected but it did have the larger balcony with lounge chairs and a hammock chair; As shown, the lounge area opened up to the deck of the boat which gave us the private access to the private "Havana" area.....the only problem is the "private" area was only private until 7pm and then they open it up to everyone on the ship. So at 6:59pm and counting a flood of people would take over and kids would be running wild without supervision, It was awful!! We purposely booked the Havana area to have the private access and the ability to get away from the masses. Once the masses showed up - it was a nightmare - kids jumping in the hot tub and doing cannon-balls in the pool and hot tub. And, I must say that both are VERY small because they were designed for a private area. It ruined our experience every day! In fact - one of the two hot tubs in the Havana area remained closed/drained throughout the entire cruise - we were finally told it was because they couldn't keep control of the area with both open because of the kids. So - you'd be sitting in the hot tub or the pool (again... a very, very small pool and small hot tub) talking to other adults who wanted the same experience as ourselves and in rushed the kids - tipping your drinks over or drenching you and your drink wile their parents looked on. The cabin was very spacious with plenty of storage space. There were several shelves along with three drawers. Two closets for hanging clothes. Two big drawers under the sofa. Lots of room under the bed for our three big suitcases where we kept dirty clothes and all our shoes. The bathroom has plenty of shelves for storage. The shower seems to have shrunk but that could have been my imagination. The balcony is a good size with two chairs, a regular chair and ottoman and a lounger. We were excited about having a Havana cabin on the Aft so we could have the view from the back but didn't like the fact we could look right down on the balconies below us and the balconies above us had a great view of our balcony. I did like the fact we had private access to the pool in the Havana area before six but hardly got to take advantage of it with all the full days of excursions. This will be a great benefit once the ship is doing a Carribean route with more sea days and warmer weather. I hope they do a better job of making sure everyone in the area is wearing the Havana wristbands, a lot of non Havana people made it in the area for hours before anyone approaches them. I heard some people complaining of noise from the Havana club. It didn't bother me and you could barely hear it. Read Less

We stayed in one of the Havana Cabanas. The decor was a nice change from the oranges and tans of the other Carnival cabins I've had. Dark wood, teal and white accents. The flat screen TV was nice because not having a huge bulky TV in the middle of the room opens it up and helps it feel more spacious. There was no storage under the couch, a huge miss in my opinion. The patio, as it's called, took a bit of getting used to. It's much, much larger than a traditional balcony, which is great because you can have your own deck lounger. We also liked the sliding, rather than the hinged door. But the walkway comes between the patio and the ocean view, you are looking through panes of glass at the ocean. There is a bit of a lack of privacy. Technically any of the Havana guests can walk by your room at any time, but other than the first night I never saw anyone walk by. You are overexposed to your neighbors though, especially if they frequently use their patio. There is always latin music being piped in on the patio, so if you prefer silence it's not for you. That being said we enjoyed being able to walk out our sliding door and relax on a lounger. Read Less
