Family Harbor Deluxe Ocean View: If the cabin was cleaned properly it would have been perfect. It was very spacious and had plenty of storage. My husband and teen aged daughter loved what the Family Harbor Lounge had to offer so much that they would be willing to stay in one of the rooms again even if it was dirty. They say this because we came to the conclusion that all Family Harbor rooms will be dirty because of the massive amount of kids staying in the rooms. My parents stayed on the same level in a Cove Balcony room and my mom said her room was spotless. I visited them and it appeared in MUCH better condition than ours. Read Less

My only disappointment was that we only got towel animals three days...the granddaughters were so looking forward to them, Read Less

Family Harbor : Cabin 2447
Very nice and a nice wash room addition. Loved having so many closets. We had a queen bed, a sofa/bed and 2 pull down beds where the kids stayed. Having 3 adults and 2 kids we felt like we could move around comfortably.

When we first got on the ship at the front, it was a very long walk to cabin 2489 at the very back. There were a few other times we had to make this walk depending on where we were when we got on the elevator. If you book a family harbor oceanview, deluxe or not, be prepared for a lot of walking. The room itself was nicely decorated and our little boy loved having his own kid-sized tub. He used it every night. Since the room is so far back, we did hear and feel noise from whatever mechanical system is at the back of the ship. It was loudest on the first night. After that, it was a quieter constant hum and vibration that we could tune out. When we were in the cabin when they started the ship, the vibration and humming noise was more apparent but it got quieter as the ship started moving. The oceanview window seat is quite large. It can easily fit two kids or a small adult and a child. I could sit in the window with my legs fully extended and I’m 5’4”. Our son turned it into his private lounge using the throw pillows from the cabin. He would get in there and pull the curtain closed to create his own little quiet area. This is a somewhat larger room. My husband and I differed in opinion on this. I thought there was quite a bit of wasted space. He liked that we had more room to move around. The bathroom felt smaller to me. The shower is definitely smaller. I also think this cabin is an obstructed view cabin that Carnival is selling as a regular cabin. A portion of the railing that runs around the back of the ship was clearly in our line of vision when we looked out the window. There was also some contraption on the other side of our window that blocked our view on that side. My husband said it moves. It stayed there for our entire cruise. Read Less

Noise was not an issue for us. We did hear a bang or 2 about once or twice a day..but it never lasted long. No more noise than any other cabin, if you ask me. Read Less

The cabin was very nice lots of room and having two bathrooms was a godsend with a teenage daughter who claimed that as her bathroom when my son wasn't taking a bath in it. In my cruise group I have heard others complain that it was noisy above them since the galley/restaurant is about family harbor but in this room I heard nothing. It was close enough to the family harbor lounge to be easy to grab something but far enough away not to have the noise. Read Less

We had a fully accessible room which included no lip on the bathroom door and a roll in shower. One thing to note about the room is that it only allows for wheelchair access from one side of the bed so this is important to note if it matters to you. The room had an automatic door, operated by the key card and numerous pull cords in the room and bathroom for assistance if you were to fall. There was a nice nook which might be good for storing a scooter but there was no place nearby to charge it. In my quick glance around the room for such an outlet, I did not see one but we were not in need of charging capabilities. If you are, you might want to come prepared for a room with ample space for a scooter or chair but very few outlets as is fairly typical on a cruise ship. One window was partially obscured but the second was a clear view. We enjoyed having the view to watch the ports as we sailed in. The curtains are great as they tuck way back into the walls. There was a wardrobe for clothing but it seemed like we had less storage space than on previous ships, including no full length hanging space. One section of the closet was a double rod hanging section and the other shelves/drawers. The design was not great because you had to open the door to the closet to then get at the drawers and shelves but there was wide open access to it. Read Less

This was probably one of the best cruise cabins we have ever had. Even with just a window this cabin was larger than other cabins. It was really organized. We had a bathroom with the normal shower, sink and toilet and lots of shelf spaces AND we had another bathtub/shower room with another sink. So awesome to shower at the same time and never run out of hot water!!! Everything was new and very comfortable. Our two teenage sons were across the hall in a interior cabin. It was comfortable and about the size I was expecting. The really cool thing was that just up the hall was this wonderful Family Harbor Lounge. Only the families in this area had access. It was like having a comfortable living room and gathering space right on the ship. There was a neat hand washing machine, a ice cream machine, and the hot chocolate machine. There was a fridge with milk and yogurt. In the mornings they had breakfast there so we could easily meet up, eat and then get off the ship to a big day in Rome or somewhere neat. In the afternoon they had sandwiches and my favorite chocolate chip cookies that Carnival makes with the melting chocolate chips. There were also games and video game consoles, several areas with TV's to watch movies together, etc. This worked really well with traveling with a family. I wish they would have had this when my kids were little. Read Less
