This room is below some kind of storage place or something because every single night we were woken up by noises as if people were throwing things and dragging them all night long. The room is super comfortable and the view is so amazing from the balcony, but believe me you will not sleep the whole entire week because of the noise during the night. I actually slept in the top bed of the bunk beds and would literally jump in the middle of my sleep every night. We called guest services and made several trips in the middle of the night to tell them what was going on, but the following night it would be the same problem. They gave us a credit for photos, but honestly we don't go on cruises for the photos. We weren't able to sleep all week, and nothing could compensate that for the price you pay to go on the ship. Really enjoyed our cabin and the Cove Balcony was comfortable and relaxing. I woke up early every morning and enjoyed the ocean air while the children slept.

We stayed in room 2429, Category FM, Cove Balcony in the Family Harbor area on deck 2. There are only 4 rooms in this category on the ship & we got the last one when we booked. The room had plenty of room for our family. Storage space was minimal so bring things like an over the door shoe holder to help you stay organized. It was nice to have usb plugs built in for charging our electronic devices. Room temp was great & the fridge was ready to chill our water (no having to ask the room attendant to remove mini bar items). We chose this area mainly because the family we were traveling with needed a room for 5. The Family Harbor Lounge (FHL) was really nice since we were traveling with the kids. They enjoyed the simple breakfast, soft-serve ice cream machine, and PS4 (Trials Fusion - race game & Kung Fu Panda games). They were well behaved enough to use the FHL by themselves while we took a few extra minutes to get ready. That being said there were a few kids who were being quite disrespectful in the FHL…garbage & food everywhere, trowing pillows & cushions, abusing the ice cream machine, etc. We were on a couple of excursions with 2 naughty boys (pre-teen age) and they seemed to be ok when they were with the dad & grandma so my guess is that age, peer-pressure & lack of supervision brought out the worst in them. SO, what I’d suggest is that if anyone stays in the FH area please do everyone a favor & talk to your kids about being respectful otherwise it’s these types of amenities that are going to be lost for everyone. Besides families w/kids my age I also see this as a great place for a parent to hang out with a young one who’s an early riser while the other parent sleeps or gets ready. Now, that being said there was one thing that was horribly wrong with our room and that was the noise! I had heard a few people on CC comment about noise, but thought it can’t be that bad, right? Oh boy was I wrong! I’ve never had issues sleeping before, although I’ve only had rooms on floors 6-8. After seeing the plans I now realize that we were under the kitchen galley and I’m not sure what specifically, but it was loud, loud, loud, esp at night and all night. I had a fan, white noise, and earplugs and I could still hear & feel the banging. Thank goodness my kids slept through it, but this made for a long trip w/no sleep for me. I’ll never stay in a room like this again, and if it hadn’t been for the other couple traveling with us having a room in the same FH area, I would have asked to move rooms. Odd thing is that their room, an oceanview ~4 doors down, didn’t have any noise issues. Read Less

We stayed in a Family Harbor Cove Balcony (2412) and MIL was across the ship in 2403 (another cove balcony). We loved the cove balcony for how close it was to the water (this was our first time in one). We didn’t love the noise in this particular cabin, however, nor did my MIL in 2403. According to the deck plans we were under the restaurant, but there was horrible noise at night (like metal on metal and banging). Not sure what it was, but it was unpleasant. The room was lovely otherwise. The family harbor décor and extras are lovely. There are special robes and slippers in the rooms, along with the other Family Harbor amenities such as the wonderful Family harbor lounge, which is just across the hall from 2412. This lounge had coffee/tea/hot chocolate and ice cream always available, along with breakfast, lunch, teatime, and evening cookies. This was unbelievably handy for us – to be able to just step into the lounge and have a spot to grab a quick bite or snack, without having to go up to the Lido with the kids when they needed to eat. There were also yogurts and milks available, and for younger kids this would even be more handy I’d imagine. Unfortunately, it did appear that lots of parents were allowing some really poor behavior with their unsupervised kids, and we did call guest service/security on one occasion. Picture food smashed on the floor and the couch, cushions thrown on the floor, jumping on couches. A couple times we spoke to directly to the kids as well. Most of the time though, the lounge was as it should be – a lovely spot for families to have a peaceful gathering place and grab some food. While there were board games and video games, we were usually busy, so never took advantage of these. We were crowded, as we were four people in this room for 11 days. But it was manageable, especially if you don't overpack as I did. I used an over-door shoe hanger on the outside of the bathroom door which was helpful. Read Less

We are a family of 5 with 2 adults and 3 kids (11,6,3) and we could not have picked or wished for a better room - excellent quiet and convenient location, very close to the Family Harbor break room (where free snacks, breakfast, cold drinks, ice cream machine (which did break down after a few days but there were others like in on the Lido so no big deal) are served. The room was quiet, comfy, spacious, with 3 big windows looking out at sea, one of which is actually the (massive) door to the balcony, which we used more for drying bathing suits etc. You get a king size bed for the parents (which BTW is high so you can store stuff underneath), a convertible sofa-twin bed for 2 kids, another Pullman bed (retracting from the ceiling + ladder) for the 3rd kid, 2 separate bathrooms (one shower with toilet, the other bath tab, both had sinks of course and some shelves) and 2 separate TVs. You can close off the kids beds with a curtain for separation. We also had a seating corner, plenty of storage space for everyone, tones of towels and 2 kid sized bathrobes. Because we stayed at the family harbor we also received one free Night Owl baby sitter service for free, 2 big bottles of water and one bag of laundry for free. Maybe other cabins also get these perks, we don't know. Our friendly steward - Randell - an awesome person with many years on Carnival boats who exceeded our expectations in terms of service, availability and knowledge. Read Less

Great room - lots of space with large balcony (seemed to be much bigger than on other decks). Close to the family Harbour lounge and quiet. Did not really see the point of 2 bathrooms but I guess if you have older kids then it would make sense. Large TV for the adults, small one for the kids. There was a bunk bed and a sofa bed in an area that could be closed off with a curtain. Read Less
