Got a great last minute cruise deal on the Victory way to cheap to turn down. Downside was the cabin 1a upper lower 1201. Bottom of the ship first cabin starboard side. Looked around on cruise critic for pixs of the cabin saw none so I took few posted below. This cabin is a porthole cabin so have a limited ocean view. The cabin is very quiet only when pulling into port and front thrusters are right under you so be prepared for early wake up on port days. Other then that very quiet no vibration or noise of any kind. I slept in upper and had room steward put it up during the day. Surprisingly comfortable some of the best night sleeps ever on board. Room big enough for second bed not sure why they don't have on but allows for much better space during the day. The only thing I found unusual was the bathroom floor being all plastic was spongy. I assume the glue holding it down has come loose but still solid once you step on it. The shower drain for some reason appears to be in the wrong corner for tray fills up in back but does drain without over flowing into rest of bath. We just took our foot after shower directed water to drain then threw the towels down in shower afterwards not a big deal to us. Now climbing in the bunk not for the old and frail especially with ship swaying in the water. I had no issue but if you have trouble moving around this would not be the room for you. The Victory herself is a very small ship or maybe I just got use to bigger ones. Walk one end to the other is nothing. She shows a lot of aging but kept in very good shape by an excellent crew and staff. Still had lots of things going on to keep you busy and kinda like the smaller ship. You into speciality restaurants and ton of outdoor activities not so much on this ship. Shows outstanding as usual but still Carnival thinks louder is better and way too loud. I take out my hearing aids and still too loud. The comedians had us crying laughing totally awesome. Even the the R rated shows which are sometimes to nasty with every other word the F word much more tasteful and more true to life. Both excellent and you'll love them as well. The food and service are excellent according to MDR crew 2nd best in the Carnival fleet. I must agree they did outstanding job speed, accuracy, taste and temperature of food perfect. I still love the Flat Iron steak very tasty and not tough or filled with grizzle like some other cruise lines. Wife had to have her chocolate lava cake as usual when on Carnival and did not disappoint. Our waiters Damireux and Sishui not sure about the spelling probably wrong think they pronounced it as Day-mar and Seesh but both did an outstanding job. The buffet food very good as well but Guys burgers one of our favorites for lunch. The new deli was also nice touch. Long lines for buffet especially in morning on port days but you'll find you go to back of ship in the pizza pirate and the fish place they will make your eggs the way you want and have most of the same things with small line or none at all. We set the bar low for this cruise for the price of $50/day for both of us and OBC would have to be terrible for us not to be happy. I must say this was much better cruise then our MSC cruise on larger beautiful boat but lacked the service and quality of the Victory and much more expensive. All in all this cruise set the bar high for the next cruise in September. No complaints what so ever and CCL went out of their way to make everyone cruise a pleasant experience. Hope to get another chance to cruise her again if the price is right of course. Read Less

We chose this cruise because we found $40 airfare from Hartford to Fort Lauderdale and the cruise dates fit right in. We got a balcony rate of $278 due to some previous cruis gambling. Our room number was 6351. Very noisy at night when there was a band in the lobby. Otherwise it was pretty quiet. We loved the ship and all its amenities and spent a lot of time in the casino. I was invited to leave each of the nights because they were closing. We did very well and covered our bill. I could not get accustom to the food however and it really bothered me. Everyone else on board were clearly loving the food so as usual it was me. Our room was great our steward was excellent as was the whole crew. We stayed onboard in Nassau because we were there last October and had no desire to go back. We just wanted to cruise. I can fully recommend the Victory. We had a great time and would choose the Victory again. Read Less

This was the worst and the best of cruising on Carnival. First, PLEASE believe me that I always go into every situation hoping for the best but...somehow, some way or someone turns my attitude sour. From the beginning when I got that robocall announcing the delay in embarking, I got that ol' bad feeling... On this cruise, the entertainment and the food were disappointing. The crew and staff were outstanding. Every bartender and waiter who took my sail-and sell-card remembered my name. Every steward who helped me, even those who merely answered a question, remembered my name. Adi, my cabin steward, was first class. Wesner, my dining room waiter, remembered my name and my drink. All of this adds up to a high "Jack Factor" score, named after my buddy Jack who only sails on Carnival because he loves being addressed personally on cruises. Personally, I don't care what you call me as long as you bring me my drink immediately. The first night's show was cheesy, with dancing that resembled cheerleaders imitating modern dance. The set was minimal, with a muslin backdrop with painted portholes suspended between poles representing a ship's hull. Laughable. The singers were tolerable--in this show the guy was more talented than the girl. "Matey," the Cruise Director, was along to "entertain" with his "magic" and his "personality" as emcee. The best of all was the band. More entertainment criticism to follow. The food was in general--from my memory of previous Carnival cruises--downhill. There was less of everything--from choices on menus and buffets--to quality of ingredients. The pizza was below average (for me, it was inedible), the burgers were abominable and the eggs (and salmon) Benedict were abhorrent. I expect poached egg, not hard-boiled. I do NOT expect Hollandaise sauce to be a solid, with a crust, that lets knives bounce atop. Then, the worst disappointment was Chef's Table which I was SO looking forward. They repeated the same damned menu I had aboard Carnival Elation in 2015! They couldn't come up with some innovations? Why shouldn't they update the cuisine? Why is there NOTHING fresh, including CANNED mangoes and canned magicians? Highlight: galley tour. Lowlight: I can't believe that the ONE night that MDR serves Escargot Bourguignonne, my favorite, was Chef's Table night. As far my cabin, it was fine, except the location noted below. Clean, fresh decor is delightful with the fake louvers on the door, the photo wall graphics and the blue stripes on the duvet. Best: those new flat-screen HD TVs are wonderful for checking your own videos. The reasons I bought this cruise were threefold: 1. So cheap they threw in a fourth night for free. 2. It was SO cheap they charged the single supplement and it was STILL under my budget. 3. Two years before I started collecting ship models I was aboard Victory. I managed to find (or buy aboard) one from every ship I've traveled aboard--except Victory. The only one to get a model of that ship--is go aboard. That $30.00 model wound up costing me $533.00 excluding drinks. Read Less

The ship was nice and the service was excellent. Not good for seafood lovers. I went for the seafood but unfortunately I got none. The pools were smaller than kids wading pools. I an 70 yrs old and wanted to enjoy a cruise for the first time. .I did enjoy the hot tub for 15 minutes. The view was great on deck. The fire drill was hell going up so many stairs. I am disabled and have a very difficult time traversing stairs. I feel the ship some system for the disabled. The Bahamas was about 50 percent ok, but the long walk from the boat to a taxi almost caused a heart attack. I guess I would recommend this boat for people who like to drink and gamble. It's differently not for me. We went as a Birthday group and I am sure the others were satisfied. It's a good party boat, but I went for the seafood and swimming but got none of these. Very disappointed with Carniveral Victory Read Less

Just returned from a wonderful cruise on the Victory. Had FTTF. Was on the ship by 11:40. Room was ready when we boarded. Ate lunch and went back to the room and luggage was waiting. FTTF at guest service was a great feature. Just by pass the long line and go to the FTTF desk. Food was excellent. Crew couldn't have been nicer. I was on the 9th fl. The bathroom was still pink. It did not bother me. Ate at the buffet every night. Such a great selection of food. Didn't see any shows due to spending time in the casino. Very little smoke in the casino. Everyone was dressed nice, very courteous .Children were all well behaved. Getting off the ship we carried our luggage, and met in the FTTF room. Was off at 7:15, and no line at immigration . Hope everyone enjoys the Victory like I have. Read Less

Placed us (2 Senior Citizens next to 4 rooms filled with loud obnoxious Grads. Slammed their doors and ran through the halls. Had too call security twice. Nothing accomplished and they did not offer to change our cabin. I asked one of the Grads Fathers to have them lower the noise level a little and he told the Grads to Quiet Down on Departure Day. I told Guest Relations about the poor placement and he told me we should have booked a suite. I told him no way and hung up on him. The cabin was quite spacious and my motorized scooter fit in nicely The room steward was okay but we did not get any drinking glasses. The mattress was far from comfortable. The extra blanket I requested was old and scratchy. We were dismayed to see that the dress code thru out the cruise was not adhered too People came to dinner on elegant night in shorts t shirts tank tops and sandals. Seems there is no dress code whatsoever. Guys ran thru the ship bare chested We cruise for value and good food. This was not a good value too us. The shows were good and the service in most cases The décor is like throw it together and see what sticks. The food was mediocre to lousy. The background music in the buffet area was repeated over and over again. Mostly Katy Perry and Beyonce. The music on the Lido Deck was so loud we had to leave the area. This was our 4th and final trip with Carnival. Read Less
