This was our second trip on the Victory. This sailing was to Key West and Cozumel, while the previous trip was a few years back from NY to Canada. On this most recent sailing, we noticed areas that were dirty, rusted or otherwise somewhat neglected since the previous sailing. We had the feeling that the crew are letting things slide a bit because they know the Victory is scheduled for a major overhaul in the near future. Nothing too terrible, but wall paneling was worn and stained in our cabin and in some public areas, cushions on lounge chairs were worn out and sometimes missing, toilets and fixtures were stained. None of the issues were so bad that I would avoid cruising on Victory, but just know you're sailing on an old vessel that's ready for an update. And speaking of the need for updates, there are a few areas that really show their age due to old/bad design. For example, the buffet on the Lido deck is organized in such a way that during popular times, lines will run out of the dining room, and there were a couple times with long waits at the buffet. We tried to avoid it when possible, but on both embarkation and debarkation days, as well as when returning from the short day in Key West, there weren't really many other options. Also, while a Guy's Burger was added during a past update, it's location causes some traffic jams and heavy crowds in the small doorway between pool area and buffet area. Finally, if you don't smoke, the casino is an unpleasant place to visit. The ventilation is poor and the entire promenade near the casino becomes full of smoke. Hopefully, this will be fixed in the overhaul, as the smoke on the Victory was worse than on most other ships we've been on. Unfortunately, the biggest issue we had on this cruise was an unusual overabundance of rude, ignorant, entitled fellow passengers. We had guests running and screaming down the hallways at all hours of the night, packs of children congregating/loitering on stairways with no parents or supervision to be seen, guests singing on their balcony, full volume, at sunrise. And finally, there were a few guests that were smoking on nearby balconies, making our balcony an unpleasant spot to just sit and relax. Balconies are all 'no smoking', but it seems that Carnival doesn't (can't?) enforce this. Food: We had 'Your Time' dining. We found the food to be very inconsistent. On the first night, we had great appetizers, but the main entrees were nothing special. On the 2nd night, lobster (extra cost) was over-cooked, creme brulee' was very undercooked, but on the 3rd night, almost everything was cooked to perfection. I know it's tough cooking for 3000 or so guests, but it seems they are missing a bit of quality control in the kitchen. Staff: Our cabin steward was OK - friendly enough, and responsive when we had problems, but on arrival, things were a bit dirty, with some trash still in cans, hair in a couple of drawers, and greasy finger prints on the walls. I suspect this is due to the rush to 'turn over' the ship for the next arriving passengers - but again, like with the food, it seems a bit more quality control is needed here. Our dining staff were, like the meals, inconsistent. We had one group of servers that were excellent (KUDOS to Dino, Dedik, and I Made - they knew our names, refilled drinks, and were pleasant to talk to), and then the next night, we had the worst shipboard service we've ever encountered from a different group of servers, bringing food and drinks very slowly, never checking on us afterwards. Fortunately, we were able to ask for the first night's service crew for our remaining dining visits, so that was appreciated. Ports/Excursions: Since we only had a few hours on Key West, we took the provided shuttle downtown and just strolled to the usual tourist spots (Sloppy Joe's, Southernmost Spot, Hemingway House...). But it was a whirlwind of a tour since time was so short. Most disappointing was how disorganized the return shuttle to the ship was. There was a line stretching down the road of passengers waiting to board the shuttle...and that was an hour before return time, so we lost additional time on this already short visit. Since we've visited Cozumel several times before, we tried the KunChe Mayan ball game (Pok-Ta-Pok) excursion for something different. The tour guide was friendly and informative, and the excursion was interesting, with a bit of culture, a bit of sports, and included meal. Debarkation: We found Carnival's new debarkation procedure to be a bit confusing. They now debark 2 different groups, somewhat consecutively, but it was a bit unclear how it was going to go until groups were called. In short, if you carry off your bags, you're called to leave based on muster station, in reverse order (so muster station A is last). Almost simultaneously, but starting a bit after the 'bag people', are the folks that put bags out the night before. You get called based on tags that you pick up outside of the casino the night before, with an early group and a late group. What wasn't clear is how the early group is called in relation to the muster station groups - and even after going through the process, we're still not quite sure what happened :-) but we had 'early' tags for the luggage assistance group, and we were called after 4 of the muster station groups were called. And when you get to the warehouse to find your bags, be sure to check the 'decoder' sign posted near the bags, because your bag might not be where you'd expect (ie: we were group 9, but our bags were in area 'D' with many other groups). This was my second cruise, first being with just my son (10 months at the time), and I. This second cruise was with our whole family. It was by far the worst family vacation we've ever had. Never again will we use carnival. They screwed up all our room assignments (they gave me a $300 on board credit that got immediately eaten up by gratuities), staff is beyond rude, no one cares if you are having a issue unless you inform them you are having issues with locating your autistic son due to the incompetent staff shuffling my kids to the wrong zone for the drill. My son was suppose to be excused from the drill due to his medical issues but nooooooooo the steward staff made my son, daughter, and grandmother leave their room. By the time I reached my son he was a minute away from passing out. He has heat triggered seizures. The guest service manager tried to prevent me from getting my son out of the drill area. I had to yell at her he needed to leave. When she came to find me to try to I guess tell me about myself she realized the situation was actually serious she then changed her stank attitude and tried to kiss butt. Same with the dinning room staff in the Atlantic dinning room. The hostess was so rude and the head manager as well but of course when I said to my fiance that situation was just one more thing to add to our email to corporate he changed his attitude. It seems in order for the crew to be nice you have to inform them you are contacting corporate. I could honestly go on and on about how horrible the crew was but Ill save myself from getting frustrated again. As far as food.... It was gross. Eggs are super runny, bacon is dang near raw, pancakes taste like crap, syrup is watered down, even the main dinning room dinner is just bad. The only thing i enjoyed was the crab legs and I had to pay $25 for it. No matter if it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner its crap. We did the cat in the hat breakfast and although my kids enjoyed meeting the characters the food was basic. Now the port.... We stopped in Nassau bahamas and man oh man that port was NASTY. As soon as we got off the ship we were disgusted by how dirty the port was. And then when we got past the tourist information gate we were swarmed by ppl trying to push services or merch on us. That was annoying but i get it. What got me really annoyed was numerous guys came up to us (my kids too) asking if we needed weed or "blow" (im assuming thats cocaine). Like they have no care in the world there are little kids there. A lot of shops try to play you aswell and take your money claiming they have no change. Thank god I read and did my research before we got there and knew not to buy anything at the port and to walk a few blocks down to get everything cheaper. the straw market was interesting.... VERY hot so that was interesting to see how all these vendors just deal with the heat. Getting on and off the boat was pretty easy but we did get off 2 hours after we ported and got back on a way before everyone else. Now the debarking wasn't too bad. I didnt wait for our deck number bc frankly my son was just tired of waiting and starting to get a big sensory overload. They didnt give me issues about leaving before our deck was called. Aside from all the issues with food, staff, ect, the boat it self was overly crowded, our room didnt even get turned one day, there was a lot of rust around the boat, there isnt much to do either. Even with the little they had to do it was so packed it wasnt worth waiting for the activities. We also had a party crew in the room across from us and holy crap they were loud. The screaming and laughing lasted up until around 3am and started right back up at 8am. It was very annoying. Security even came up a few times bc i guess other guest complained but those ppl could care less and the moment security was gone they started yelling again. Oh and lets not forget about on both decks 6 and 7 (I had two rooms) the hallways reeked of marijuana. Def not something I want my kids to be smelling. Oh and let me not forget to mention how the communication between the 800 number, the crew on the boat from the different departments and management has HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. No one knows anything and none of the requested accommodations I requested for my autistic child and my other child with server food allergies were granted So if asked if i would ever use carnival again.... my answer would be "HECK NO"! This will have been the first and the last time I ever give them a shot. Read Less

A lot of staff members gave us wrong information. We paid for FTTF but were told to get in the regular line when boarding. After boarding, we were supposed to have immediate access to our room, but there were signs on the doors saying, "Do not enter. Rooms available at 1:30." I went to guest services and spoke to 3 different people explaining that I had FTTF and was supposed to be able to access my room. They didn't seem to know what I was talking about and kept repeating that my room would be available at 1:30. As a 1st time cruiser, I read all of the dress code rules for dinner and packed accordingly. However, the dress code rules are not enforced in the dining room at all. Most people had on flip flops, slides, tshirts, and basketball shorts. When I asked on the 1st night, i was told that it was because people hadn't received their luggage. However, people were dressed the same on the other nights, too. I could've saved a lot of room in my suitcase if I'd known. The safety briefing was also very stressful because no one could tell us where to go. We asked multiple crew members and was told something different each time. We went upstairs and then downstairs and then back up over and over again. Massage in the spa - don't waste your money. We were told no couple massages. My husband's massage room had no windows for views of the ocean. My room was right next to the hair salon, so the noise from hair dryers and people talking was not relaxing at all. The package included a mini facial but was told I had to receive it at the same time as the massage. Due to our assigned dinner time, I didn't have time for the facial and was not given any other option. Read Less

My congratulations for the Excellent service which was provided by Retno in the Atlantic Dining Room. My commendations to her, she made our dinner experience very happy. She was courteous willing to accommodate and please us to ensure that we would be happy with the food and service provided by the ship. Her great service made our dining experience looking forward to the next one and hoping we would be seeing her again. Retno (Rojo No ) as she translated her name to my in-Laws who did not speak English only Spanish caused a feeling of comfort and of welcoming. She described the food to my in-Laws in Spanish with our help The service and food was spectacular, the performance at the of the dinner on our last evening by all of the crew members dancing was awesome. My congratulations also to Felipe the Ship Director for his excellent performance in entertaining all the cruisers. Every aspect of the trip was great !!! Elevators took long but it was more than understandable considering the number of people on the ship. The coordination of disembarking was excellent. Nothing but a great weekend experience. Going to list the overall cruise in sections: 1. Day 1 (Disembark) – Cruise launch was great no complaints. 2. Day 2 (Fun At Sea) – Nothing to say about this day. 3. Day 3 (Half Moon Cape) - I woke up by a loud banging and power drill noise from Deck 0 where the ship crew stay around 7 – 7:30 AM in the morning and continued throughout the day. Dismissed it because we had a good time Half-Moon Cape. Went to the service desk kiosk to check our sail & sign cards balance for our cabin and found a unannounced “Gratitude” fee for each person in the room which came out to $108 dollars. Talked with the service desk crew in this order: 1. First person we talked to mentioned that we had to pay this because the whole crew gets this tip (not true) for services rendered. 2. Second and last person helped us remove the charge entirely from our cabin. This shouldn’t take two attempts to remove this charge including if you’re already tipping the crew via cash already. 4. Day 4 (Nassau) – My wife and myself were both woke up by the loud bagging around 6:30 AM and I was not happy with this. Called room service about it and they said they will investigate it. Within a couple of minutes, I hear the intercom go off about two or three times for only the crew to hear without waking up all the guests on the ship and the noise stopped. Few minutes after that the room service manager came to the door wanted to investigate the room for the noise, told her that it already stopped and asked her if she called somebody about it because after a few minutes I got off the phone with her the noise stopped. She didn’t answer my question and said “Sir, it’s impossible for the crew to be working at 6:30 AM because they start working at 8 AM” and left which made me very not happy. Some time in the afternoon she called us back and said she was sorry about what we went through and gave us six $10 coupons for buying drinks which was nice, so we let it go. Nassau was a big disappointment since it’s all about shopping here or going to the amusement water park so didn’t have much relaxation or fun on this one. 5. Day 5 (Miami) – At 5:45 AM we got the loud noise once again which woke us up yet again. My wife was very angry and started stomping on the floor to make them stop which they did for a bit, but they started again in short multiple bursts so we couldn’t sleep at all. Got off the ship very tired. Overall – It was fun for a couple of days up to the Half Moon Cape but after that it was poor experience. Also, Randy Rose (Director of Entertainment) really needs to not reuse the same songs\ dancing routines in the Disembark Party & Nassau - Mega party…FYI…CHANGE IT UP. Another advise Randy, don’t dance in front of the guests while they’re getting off the ship on the last day from the long trip, the rest of the crew is maintaining a professional atmosphere saying goodbye to everyone except for yourself. If you're looking for a cruise with nonstop fun, Carnival does just that for you. My boyfriend and I cruised Jan. 11th-14th and it was my boyfriend's first cruise. He's never been very interested in cruising before but after this fun 3-day cruise, he already wants to book his next. Embarkation was very easy and quick and we left our luggage with the guys at the port so once we got on the ship we went straight to Cantina and had some deliciousss tacos! The fun began with the Sail Away party which was SO much fun and they had a special on margarita pitchers so... enough said. Food was great, music was great, very upset that we didn't get lobster on elegant night 'cause let's face it, Carnival can afford it and we are paying for it and for past cruisers, WE KNOW YOU USED TO OFFER IT SO..... I'd like to make a special shout-out to our room attendant Johnny from Peru. He was awesome, so attentive, and always ready to help us with anything we needed. Also, the guys from the restaurant were so sweet and patient and helped us make great selections. I, unfortunately, forgot their names but they were a wonderful group from Singapore and Iran. The cabin was very nice and clean, I really liked it, the bed was so comfortable and there are automatic lights that turn on when your feet hit the floor in case you need to use the bathroom late at night. The entertainment on board was awesome, the performance at dinner was hilarious and the shows at the theatre they have is SPECTACULAR! One thing I didn't like was that on Deck 8 there was a weird mildew smell by the elevators and constant smell of weed which surprised me being that the rooms are always being cleaned and I figured by the end of the first day they'd nip that in the bud quick. Also, they only have four of those private bed things on the Serenity Deck and I feel they could add a few more of those!! I don't think I would do Victory again only because I'd like to explore other ships but for anyone who hasn't ever gone, I'd definitely recommend. Read Less

We cruised from January 4-7th on the Carnival Victory from Port of Miami going to Nassau, Bahamas to get some after holiday’s R&R. We drove down to the port and we did a pre-pay parking service thru Jet Port this was easy and convenient, and they also provide a shuttle from parking to the port. The embarkation was easy and went quickly to the ship, the picture takers were snapping pictures as we went thru the gangway to get onto the ship, we also paid $39.95 for Faster to the Fun (FTTF) and with this service you're supposed to get priority security check in and boarding with first access to your cabin, priority luggage to your room and debarkation choices, it's purpose basically is to provide faster and priority service and price is per cabin so if you have multiple people in your cabin it will pertain to all parties, and based on my experience this was a total waste of money to spend on this service because even though we had it identified on our sail and sign card none of the crew seem to matter or acknowledge for that fact that we had FTTF. Once we got to our cabin room 6223 which was an inside cabin with balcony which is closer to the bow of the ship, our luggage wasn't there when we got there so I found our cabin steward to see where our luggage was since we purchased FTTF and other cabins had their luggage waiting, he advised us to give it a few minutes it took about 20-25 minutes to get luggage-No FTTF there, we then decided to go the guest services to inquire about the internet services that they provided and to add money to our sail card, they offer Wi-Fi Service and their HUB App with the Wi-Fi service you can only communicate thru apps i.e. Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, twitter which was not worth getting to be to only be able to communicate thru those apps you can also purchase for $5.00 the HUB app texting where you can text your party or people that have the app and pay $5.00...FYI if one person gets the Wi-Fi I was told everybody in the party has too purchase also. Made our way up to the Lido Deck which is the pool deck area which you will also find your informal/casual dining such as the buffet. Guy's Burger Joint was my first stop for some burgers and hand-cut fries which was delicious lines moved fast and practically no wait. I purchased the CHEERS! beverage program which is an all-inclusive drink program I paid a flat daily rate (again if one person purchases the program the whole cabin party must purchase. I hate the way carnival nickel and dimes you for every little thing. For the most part I enjoyed the cruise, the food was phenomenal weather we ate at the Lido Restaurant or the Pacific Dining we signed up for late dining which is around 8:15 our waiter Louie was very nice and accommodating, provided us with whatever we needed never felt as if we were bothering him, he was always nearby. I did find that some of the crew tended to be very rude especially when they called us to the muster station for our emergency practice as well as when we disembarked the ship, I found that to be unacceptable. Due to the playoff's the football games were being televised in the Skybox Sports Bar so I spent much time watching the games on Saturday and Sunday the bartender Davut was so nice and friendly we talked and joked around he was the best!!! I enjoyed to cruise all in all until we got back to the port to disembark we check our bags the night before so you have to have them out by 11pm the night before as a FTTF member-------BIG MISTAKE !!! while we were dining for breakfast they cleared the ship back in port and started calling the different decks for the people that didn't check their luggage and basically no one check luggage so the debarkation process was a mess and got backed up because everyone with luggage was getting off first and FTTF was not acknowledged they even stopped letting people off for about an hour to get things settled down they started shoveling people into one of the large entertainment rooms and we sat and waited until it was our turn to go and we didn’t get off the ship until around 10:30 -11am these people were rude rude rude and talking to people any kind of way until one of the passengers actually said something to them. just don’t waste your money with the faster to the fun FTTF because they don’t even acknowledge it, it was like we penalized for checking bags because the others were given first priority-which sucks- I digress on this issue ----all in all I did have a good time and would book again in hopes that those kinks will be worked out in the future. Most hot tubs and the better pool didn’t allow under 18. The ones that did were packed and unappealing. You get what you pay for (and less). Extra Charge for WiFi which doesn’t work. Pray there’s no emergency because muster drill unorganized, held on loud cramped deck so you can see or hear anything. Fitness center dark and weird, felt like you were working out inside a UFO. Cabins were comfortable enough, sit down dinner food not bad and waitstaff nice. Only other cruise I have been on was a Disney one which I now see was way worth the cost. No comparison between the two. While nothing terrible went wrong couldn’t wait to get of this boat- better to pay for higher end boat or cruise line for sure. Read Less

We decided to treat ourselves to a little family R&R this Christmas after a difficult year, and thought a three-day trip to Nassau sounded like fun. And for the most part, it was. We took the Brightline from West Palm Beach to Miami (the three of us made the 75 minute trip for $100 round trip), but had a bit of trouble finding the shuttle, so we just Ubered over. (Tip #1: Finding public transport all the way to Miami Port is not realistic -- plan to taxi or Uber from the train station). BOARDING: We arrived a bit early for our 12:00 boarding appointment. Wound up sitting in a lounge area for about an hour -- then discovered we could have checked in earlier. (Woops). But it was fun watching the other guest arrive and go onboard. The vast majority of guests on this cruise were African American or other ethnic minorities. (Tip #2.) We were seated at dinner with two single mothers and their teenage children -- they were very nice, and we got along. However, my husband would have liked other men to chat with. CABIN: Our cabin steward met us in our state room within an hour of getting there (Tip #2: We had to wait about an hour after we got onboard to get to our room at 1:30), and immediately set to work getting extra towels and ice, and making up our daughter's bed from the pullout couch. We tipped her up front (and added a bag of chocolates), and this seemed to be greatly appreciated (we got a spa gift card)! SEA SICK? We did not need Dramamine the whole time - we stayed on bottom floor near middle of ship, and could hardly tell the boat was moving. I was worried about being sea sick, and this was a nice surprise! DINING: We ate in the main dining room (early seating) all three nights -- the food was great, the service attentive. The first night we had a problem when we discovered that we had misinterpreted the rules about wine in the dining room: Based on what I had read on CC and Carnival websites, I had understood that we would be charged $15 if the dining steward opened the wine for us. As it turns out, you will be charged the $15 if you even bring the wine into the dining room. We discussed this with the manager, and he insisted that this rule was firm. (Kind of pissed me off, since we had brought a cork screw for this purpose.) (Tip #3: If you want to avoid the cork fee, keep it in your room.) One extremely pleasant surprise: at the brunch I had a slice of lemon cake (with glaze) that was superb -- just like my grandmother's signature poundcake, which I haven't tasted since she passed 15 years ago. The waiter saw how much I liked it and brought me three pieces! We did try out the burger place (yum) and late-night pizza (double yum). The one thing I wish they'd had was a popcorn machine in the comedy club lounge. I suspect they would move more drinks if they had a few salty snacks! (Tip #4: Tried the Chop Sticks restaurant, but found that disappointing, very bland.) ACTIVITIES/Shore Excursions: (Tip #5) The best way to get to Paradise Island/Atlantis from the dock is to go through the "Festival" building and make a sharp right. There you can get tickets for a water ferry that runs every 30 minutes for just $4 per person (each way.) The excursions can be a bit pricey. The Marina Village is pleasant -- just beware that (Tip #6) if you want to see the Aquarium at the Atlantis, it will set you back $40 or more. Apparently they greatly raised the rates from a few years ago. We had hoped our daughter would want to spend some time in the Club O2 (15-17 year olds), but when we went up there wasn't much going on. Went up twice and didn't even see any staff in the club. Suggested that they focus on teen-friendly activities like the "Spa Pamper Party" my daughter attended, and loved. Maybe have a dedicated hot tub or pool for this age group. SERVICE: The crew and staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The singing and dancing wait staff in main dining room were a trip! There were just a couple of things that could have made the trip even more memorable: (Tip #7: There is no chaplain or chapel, and no way to go to Mass on Sunday, which is a sea day -- I checked with customer service to see if any priests were registered, but they insisted that there was no way to know.) (Tip #8: The Carnival APP is a great way to stay in touch with teenagers and other family members while onboard the ship -- though not on excursions. It would be great if they could find a way to include a way to contact customer service, room service, etc. through the App -- if there was a phone list for the different stations onboard, I must have missed it. I also suggested that Carnival might use the app to make general announcements … it is very difficult to hear the announcements from the Lido deck.) DISEMBARKATION. (Tip #9) Even if you use Express Service (and carry all your bags with you rather than leave them outside your door on last night), it takes a while to unload the whole ship -- we had to be outside our staterooms at 8:30, and weren't called until close to 10:00. Once our level was called it went very quickly. So … overall, I'd say it was a good value for what we paid, though I think we'll try another cruise line next year. I'd like to be able to use a hot tub without being assaulted with rap music. (The island beats were music enough for me!) Read Less

Both my friend and I wanted to get away for a few days and saw a great deal with Carnival and jumped on it. Being that we both have sailed on Carnival before and enjoyed our time, we were definitely looking forward to our upcoming trip. Trip day finally arrived, got on ship and was given wrong information about bag tags, checking in and was told to go have lunch.. it ends at 3:30pm. We got to the buffet at 3:05pm and was told it was closed and will reopen for after embarkation. We were soooo disappointed because we were starving after the early start of the day we had. We got to the area of embarkation meet up and the Carnival reps. Seemed to be confused of where people should be lining up. We were given our location and stood there for close to 40mins. During that 40mins it was hot, confined and noisey. Being on the ship before the embarkation procedure ran a lot more smoother than how it was being done on this ship. I asked one of the reps why they changed how they did things they told us that it’s always been this way. A few of us that had been on before told her no.... we were in a bigger area. The area was so hot and confined that someone fainted and had to get medical attention. If you are a foodie... this cruise is not for you. The buffet did not have variety and food was tasteless. Sit down dinner was the same. Service took forever to bring your courses out. Ship was extremely cold. Pack a sweater or jacket. Only positive, met a few workers that we will never forget with heatring their stories about life. Again, very disappointed with Carnival. This is our third time and will be our last. Read Less

I just want to tell everyone pick a different cruise line. The only thing going for them is the wait staff and cruise director and spa staff. So lets begin so we board the ship and go to our room to start my wife's birthday cruise and in our room was supposed to be a large tropical bouquet and balloons cake and more..... We open the door and i'm hoping she is going to be happy with her surprise and nothing!!! As noting in the room but a very small bouquet and that was it.. So i call the front desk and ask where is my $182.dollars worth of stuff to surprise my wife they said they would check this is at at 4:20 pm so we go explore the ship and come back after be gone for 3 hours and still nothing i call again. They tell me they are working on it.so we do late dinner and come back to the room with the decorated with paper balloons and still no change with the flowers. The next morning i go down to the desk and asked for help they tell me they will call me about the flower and fix it.. So we get ready for our fun day in nassau we get to our boat and the weather is awesome we board the boat going to the private island and after waiting 30min they tell us our excursion is canceled our trip and the held us there. When the finally told us we could go. I ask what else could we do they told us we had to go back to the ship and see. So we did i went to the excursion desk and the lady they said we could go scuba diving and nothing else of we could just go to the public beach which if you do you home work you will find its advised not to do. So i go to the customer service desk and ask for help the tell me the will will refund my excursion money but i'm want my wife to have fun she only turns fifth once so can you help me they call the excursion desk and they told the desk the same we can go diving. So they tell me sorry nothing we can do. You can enjoy the boat or the shops in nassau. So 1pm and now three other boat have ported so place is packed so i take her to paradise resort buy taxi and try to make the best of it no thanks to carnival..we get though saturday. And finally sunday morning get a call from the vp of customer service at 11am telling me that she was going to send someone to take a picture of the flower and send it to corporate and i could handle it with them. Well them never showed to take the picture so i took one myself.. So monday when we got of the boat i called the customer service line and told everything that happened and the guy that works for the carnival told he was sorry but there is nothing he can do..... I will never ever take a cruise on this line again it was the worst experience of any cruise or trip i have ever taken. The food was very good and plenty in the dinning room. Guys burgers a must . The buffet was a mad house. People running around in swimwear, no shirts , thongs. Entertainment was good. Room was not that clean. Dusty. Stain on carpet. Stain on towels Stain on comforter. The company should replace stained items. Not the room Stewart’s fault. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Room Stewart was friendly. Brought Ice as requested. Public bathrooms onboard gross! The port of Nassau I’ve been several times. Don’t care for the island. Recommend doing a tour. My family and I were apart of a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas traveling with a party of 65 people. My husband and I along with my 11 year old son and mother in law joined us. Let me first start out by stating that me, husband and son have cruised before on the Disney Dream several times. I must say that you get what you pay for. I talked my husband into going knowing his only point of reference for cruising is on the Disney Cruise Line. In my earlier years (20's), I've traveled on the Carnival Cruise before and I must tell you, I think that experience was far better back then. The embarkation was smooth however the one representative that I encountered was not as friendly and appeared to be very upset that our boarding documents were printed on the front and back of the paper. This was a huge no..no! I was scolded for that and had to wait in line while she printed a new ticket for me. Once that was done, we proceeded to board the ship. It was smooth sailing after that. While on the ship, we arrived to our cabin at 1:30pm. We had a balcony view cabin. We didn't enjoy it much because the windows of the balcony was so cloudy and dirty, we couldn't really get a good view of the beautiful ocean and sites. We stood up most of the time looking over the cloudy window. We could tell that they didn't clean the windows nor did they clean the floor of the balcony due to the accumulation of dirt in the corners of the balcony floor. Our bed was a King size bed that was pretty comfortable until I rolled into the center and felt the crease. I then realized that I was sleeping on two twin beds pushed together. That tells me that the lining used on the bed was either thin or missing. I made sure not to roll in the center of the bed avoiding the crease in the center. Our cabin steward was very nice and kept our room clean. I never complained to him or anyone on the boat as I didn't want to appear to be a cruise snob. The dining was nice, food was good not great. Waiters were nice and accommodating. I came down for dinner once, and I didn't have a good experience so I opted to have dinner in other places on the boat. Entertainment and activities for children were lack luster. My son begged me not to leave him in camp carnival as I had him registered. My son is 11 years old and when we arrived to camp carnival, we saw a few dinosaurs and lock blocks on the floor. Some monitors with no wifi and a few children younger than his age group. He slightly tugged at my shirt and gave me the look and I read his lips...PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ME HERE!. I knew why and we left. Carnival should have more activities and things to do for that age group. The Entertainment for adults were okay! The comedian on board was funny but other than that, the night club was overcrowded and the waiters there would take your order and swipe your card then go on break. We had to track down the only waitress in the place and explain the situation. She was so upset by her coworker's actions but she remedied the situation, brought us our drinks and apologized. The service at the Blue Iguana Bar was horrible as was the service at the Seafood Shack onboard the ship. The crew members that serviced those areas appeared to be over worked, bothered by taking orders and dealing with guest. They lack customer service skills and just out right rude. Ports and Shore excursions - well we couldn't wait to get off the ship and head for the Atlantis so we could spend the day there and away from the Carnival Victory ship and it's staff. I must say, this was a good experience for my husband to experience other cruise lines other than Disney Cruise Line however, I created a beast! We could never cruise with this line again with our son who was like his dad...vowed to never return to Carnival again. Read Less

3 night cruise with an overnight in Nassau. Second time on Carnival. First was a 7 night on Carnival Glory. The Glory was a bit nicer, food a bit better. This is an economical cruise that is as fun as you make it. The shows in the main theater were fantastically performed. Singers (especially the female) were exceptional! Went to Karaoke 2 nights and had a blast. Everyone is so excepting! Food was hit and miss. The comedians started very late and one night, only did Rated R 18+ shows. NOT TO MISS: Guy's Burger Joint! If there is a long line - it's worth the wait. The Pacific dining room is at the back of the ship. The location is nicer than the Atlantic. We wanted My Time dining, but was waitlisted. So we had to eat at the Early Time = 6pm. For the timed dining, you have a set table where you will eat each night. I think the table location is based on your cabin number. Our cabin was 7431 and our dining table was 431. Our table had a great view right by the window. The steaks are a bit tough and flavorless (except for too much char flavor). Crabcakes were surprisingly super good. I could have eaten multiple. Caesar salad and Baked Alaska were great. Servers in the dining room were fantastic! Bartenders at the 3 bar locations we went to were NOT friendly. They barely look you in the eye. Husband got a massage and my daughter and I got the mother and daughter massage. We've had massages on RC and NCL and this is the best we've had. The most relaxing and less painful. There is a big up-sell and pushing of products at the end. But a polite "no thank you" was all that was needed. The salon and spa area didn't look as nice as the other ships we've been on. We waited in the salon for our massage therapists and saw a woman getting her hair done. She was Indian and was having a beautiful jewel on her forehead, threaded through her hair. At the end she asked him to part her hair down the middle and he flat out said "NO". Casino smoke was awful!! I smelled it on the Glory when walking through, but it was really bad on this ship. Also, marijuana wafted throughout our hallway every day. Not enough lounge chairs in the shade. There should be more along the sides of the ship. We liked to sit in the loungers by the ping pong tables - outside the doors to the pool, turn right and up the stairs. There might be more shady spots, but that's what we found. Putt putt was fun, but was way too hot to finish. We overnighted in Nassau. There is space for about 4 or so cruise ships. There were 2 ships already docked. Our ship was docked at the farthest spot from the entrance. It was a pretty long walk and very hot. We made our own arrangements and did not do a Carnival shore excursion. I got a day pass for Breezes. We had planned to take a bus to Breezes but were persuaded by the tourism people in the Welcome Center to get a taxi. They had told us it would be $18 and the drivers told us $24. It was all pretty stressful and chaotic. So be prepared to pack your patience. All of the food and drinks were included at Breezes. Jerk Chicken and Conch Fritters were awesome! We got there around noon and there were not a lot of umbrellas left. But we pulled up 3 loungers under a big palm tree and it was fantastic. The beach seemed very safe and only a couple of people asked if we wanted our hair braided or wanted wraps or necklaces. We took our snorkels but didn't see anything except sea grass and some weights. The water is crystal clear and calm. I'm glad we weren't staying at Breezes. It seemed a bit tired. Overall, a fun time. It's not luxurious. But it's an economical way to cruise! Read Less

It was my 40th birthday celebration and wanted to take my daughter on a weekend getaway. After a lot of research I chose this cruise for it seemed it had a good variety of activities for adults and children. One in particular was an awesome slide for the pool! Well we get there and the slide is closed for the entire duration of the trip! Extremely disappointing since my daughter was really excited and looking forward to this. I thought my room would be decorated for my birthday and when I booked I wasn’t told it would cost money to decorate. If I was told I would have spent the money. I specifically said we were there for my birthday. The ship did not have enough staff around to guide us to places if you got lost. I felt unsafe at some points. I called Carnival and told them about the experience and all they wanted to offer was a $25 credit for the next cruise. I said no thank you and you lost a customer. Read Less

Always wanted to go to Miami and the Bahamas. We got taken care of with one trip. Arriving at the Port and boarding was quick and easy. We had priority. Everyone was great. Drinks wait time was quick the whole cruise. Tip the bartender on the first day last day. He knew my drinks and would tend to me as soon as I walked up. Wait staff was quick and attentive. Late dining for ud no rush or to be pushed out. First stop after day at sea. Half Moon Cay was beautiful and we got a villa for 8½ of ud. Best decision we made. It was hot and we had shade with AC along with hot tub. Great place for pictures. Next stop was Nassau. Spent our day at the British Colonial. Not bad but not sure if I would do it again. Did some nice shopping rather my wife did. When we returned to Miami. We were off the ship by 8:15 am. Process was fast and organized. We took the Carnival shuttle which was worth. Lady working tjere boarding was rude but forget about her. Will do again. Read Less

We approximately (35) people chose this cruise as the end of summer cruise this year because of price and the fact that the ship stayed overnight in the Bahamas which was a big draw, Embarkation process was a breeze, the ship was in good condition well maintained, had a suite cabin 7265 which had a small Jacuzzi tub which was nice needed to be bigger, overall the room was a good size, balcony was standard size room was in good condition, lights illuminate when you come close to them takes a while to get used to that, dining room was located on the 3rd floor we had late dinner, I have been on a number of cruises on all the major cruise lines and I have to say the food in the dining room was not good, the services was just average the waiter and assistant waiter seemed to be always rushing you, and there level of service was not up to par buffet was better, but options were limited though, room service was actually pretty good fast and very polite the Reuben and the BLT were also quite good,Entertainment was great shout out to the comedians, especially the comedian Cruise 2, dance club was great party went all night, Service needs improvement in the dining room, cabin stewart also needs to be more visible my cabin stewart only came by once a day, Nassau was our only stop and it was very good as always, I think that instead of doing a full day at sea that a quick half day stop on a private island on Sunday would make the trip a lot better say 12pm to 5pm ... I chose this cruise because the traveling dates were extremely limited, and this cruise fit the bill. We were a family of 14 traveling, and we booked 4 staterooms, 2 of them suites. Embarkation was a disaster because the person that attended us, was in her eighties, and she made all sorts of mistakes. The quality of the food onboard was extremely poor, but the service was mostly excellent, except for abandoned trays in the buffet restaurant, that would take a long time to be picked up. The buffet restaurant's layout was unaccessible, and therefore, long lines were the order of the day, every day, at every meal. It must be said that the ship was kept extremely clean at all times. The entertainment was Fair, only a handful of musical acts to choose from, with limited talent. The one show we saw in the theater, about the history of rock and roll, was amazing. The dance music that was offered was mostly geared to the college crowd, a major letdown. The cabins were extremely roomy, especially the mini-suite cabins, but our suite had a strange odor that was noticeable every time we entered.. Finally, the layout of the ship was awkward, affording only the casino deck as the only public deck to traverse from one end of the ship to the other. Read Less

First of all I am a Platinum member on Carnival. Over the last several years we have witnessed first hand the deterioration of Carnival. The Ship itself has seen a lot better days. Old and grimy looking. Public bathrooms were disgusting. Buffet area is very tight. people were playing the blue tooth speakers full volume. Security did nothing. Cabins have no soundproofing what so ever. You could hear everything. Cruise is full of young people. A fight broke out in the elevator and kids were crying. Carnival Has sunken to a new low and its a shame. I have one more scheduled with Carnival from California that I am absolutely dreading. After I will only cruise NCL, RCCL and MSC. I just cannot believe how Carnival has allowed this to happen. Its very sad. Please save your money and do not even bother unless you are into booze cruising with hooligans and thugs. Here are Several reasons why you should save your money! The purpose of this cruise was family time and my cousin's wedding on board the ship. My cousin bride was embarrassed because her wedding was so unorganized. The wedding coordinators did not provide the guest with any information about the wedding ceremony. It was extremely unorganized, and unprofessional service. Secondly, I witness servers recycling food in the Pacific dining hall twice. Let me explain... We never ordered pancaked, but received a double order of pancakes. The pancakes sat at our table for over 5 minutes. Our server tried to hand over the pancakes from our table to the table next to us.... Apparently, they ordered pancakes. In shock, the lady next to us refused the pancakes and ask for a fresh batch. You would think he'd get a fresh batch of pancakes... nope! My sister and I had different views of the server area. we observed another server handing our server a stack of pancakes for a tray already eaten food. Our server presents the pancake to the lady sitting beside us. in frustration and disgust, they lady and her group leave the dining hall. I spoke to the Pacific Dining Hall manager and he assured us a report would be filed, but I strongly doubt that happened. from the looks of it, this is a normal occurrence on this ship. I will never board a Carnival cruise ship again. Read Less

I booked this cruise along with one of my friends and their family members. This was actually my second time cruising, but my first cruise with Carnival. My overall trip was okay, but it definitely wasn't that great for me to want to return. The first day of the cruise, the ship rocked back and forth roughly throughout the day. We had to cut our night short because we both got sea sick. Not to mention that they were very unorganized for the orientation. We spent almost 45 minutes standing in a tight crowded corner while they explained how to put on a life vest which took only 5 minutes to do. The second day we arrived at Nassau and had an excursion scheduled. Before leaving the ship, we were provided wrist bands which we assumed would be for the Atlantis water park and Dolphin swim. However, after boarding off the boat, we noticed everyone had on different color bands and some had 2 bands. Had we not paid attention to this I would have been extremely upset because the person who checked our tickets failed to pay attention to the type of excursion we had and gave us a wrist band just for Atlantis. We had to wait for someone to come off the ship and go through all the tickets to confirm that we provided them the right ticket. Waste of time there. After we got the correct wrist band. we were able to go enjoy ourselves. We got back on the ship around 7 to attend dinner. The dining service for all 3 nights was terrible. It took forever for the waiter to bring our food and the second night I had to ask for my appetizer 3 times before the waiter remembered to bring it to the table. I finally received that order after everyone had finished their entrees. Staff not that friendly. We did however enjoy all of the activities that we took part in. I wouldn't rush to book another cruise with Carnival. Read Less

The service was great! The cabin was great! The weather was not great but that is out of our control. My kids had a great time. They loved the arcade and we enjoyed playing the Pac Man air hockey there. Adult time was fun at the Casino. We absolutely got to relax in the serenity area. The slide on the deck was AWESOME! Dinner was delicious, service was excellent, nice choices. Buffets were delicious. Kids loved round the clock ice cream cones. The Staff was super friendly and courteous. We needed extra towels everyday and they came in flash. We ordered room service. That was yummy. Went into Nassau which was fun, again weather was not ideal, but we made the best of it. ADI our room steward was the best. He had our room clean twice a day and my kids loved the towel animals. The boat itself was very clean and the bathrooms were almost immaculate. Cleaning going on all day long. We can not wait to come back and do the 4 night cruise. Our room was ready as soon as we got on the boat. Boarding and disembarking was organized, efficient, and easy. We love sailing with Carnival and we can not wait to cruise with them again. The cruise was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this cruise to family and friends. Read Less
