We chose this cruise to experience a different New Years, other than just partying at home as we normally do. We arrived at the port by 10:30 am on Monday 12/30/19. First thing noticed, the staff was all super friendly and nice. We checked in and handed over out luggage to the bag attendant. We had three suitcases and a backpack with toiletries. We proceeded to board the ship and look around until our room was ready for us to enter by 1:30 pm. We take the elevator to deck 2, while walking to our cabin #2353 we notice one of our bags was placed in cabin #2333 which was the incorrect cabin number. We noticed the bag attendants were still delivering bags and let them know one of our bags was placed in the wrong door. We asked to have the other two bags and backpack delivered to us, which they did right away. Once in the cabin, we started to unpack and settle in. I noticed my hair diffuser was missing from my backpack. Apparently the bag had opened and the item fallen out. I was a bit disappointed that happened and was hoping someone found it and turned it in. I went to guest services and asked, but it was not found. The highlight of the entire cruise was the Cruise Director Savanah, who was an amazing host and kept the energy level up thru the entire trip. Our stateroom stewards Arvin and Handayani Dwi were both super attentive and very welcoming. They were both amazing people. The cabins were very clean and everything needed was in place. The dinner service and waiters were amazingly friendly and attentive. Some of the concerns we had was the safety tutorial which was way too hot and crowded. It should be organized differently and maybe at different times. I found some of the food in the breakfast Lido deck buffet was not as hot as it should of been. I noticed the ship was a bit old and needs some upgrading to look a bit more up to date and clean. There were areas where I could feel the floor tiles were loose. The carpet had a funky smell in certain areas as well. The pool deck giant monitor screens need to be replaced, since one side was hanging halfway off. My main complaint will be the drinks. We drank Bahama Mama drinks most of the trip. Each drink was 11.74 and tasted as if no alcohol was in it. I found that a bit disappointing since we were paying for a drink that was more like a mix juice drink. I found myself having to tell the bartenders to please pour alcohol in our drinks. Overall, we had an amazing time and New Years experience on the trip and would definitely do it again. As I mentioned Savanah the cruise director was an amazing host and so was Olivia. Our stateroom stewards ARVIN and HANDAYANI DWI were courteous, attentive, kind and welcoming!!!!!!! Till our next trip Carnival!! Read Less

This was my second Carnival cruise, the first about 10 years ago. I wasn’t much of a fan the last time but Carnival Victory managed to win me over, in spite of my reservations. Here were the pros and cons: Cons: -The hallways were noisy at night. I expected this so I had already braved myself to endure it. -The food was only mediocre compared to Disney Cruise Line, Celebrity, and Norwegian. However, it wasn’t bad. -The bed was very hard. -The ship is aging, and while they try to maintain her, some of her facilities are showing their age. For example, several elevators had tiles missing from the floor. Accent lights were out in random spots all over the ship. The whirlpools and pools showed major wear with the finish rubbing off and showing rust. Pros: -The ship was clean. Very clean in fact. This made up for the wear due to age. -The service was great. These folks are proud of their ship. -The Cruise Director, Filipe is phenomenal. He was friendly, energetic and approachable. He seemed to genuinely care. -The onboard activities and entertainment were great and diverse. All in all, I felt like the value and experience for the price was great. The crew and service more than made up for the cons that I had. Would I book another Carnival Cruise? Absolutely, already have. Would I try and book a newer ship, yes. Read Less

If you want to experience the worst cruise ever, come aboard. If not, STAY AWAY!!!! The FOOD - TERRIBLE, the ROOMS-SMALL... the SHIP IS SMALL!!! And the staff is RUDE. In all aspects, this cruise is terrible. It is sad that we spent so much money on below-standards food and service. And they charge for everything. The food is disgusting and poor quality, and the staff seems to be unhappy and lacking enthusiasm. Expanding on the food, the truffle aioli is loaded with mayonaise, the prime rib is always medium rare no matter how you ask for it, our mac and cheese was served cold and smaller than a kids portion... I will never come back on this cruise ever again. I will never go on a Carnival Cruise again. And if you are reading this review STAY AWAY. I am embarassed that I went on this cruise and will never give them my money again. Read Less

Have cruised Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian lines. To start off with we arrived early to board only to find mass confusion and long lines. We arrived at about 11:30 and did not get on board until close till 3:00. We then attempted to get some lunch after boarding but lines for the buffet were absolutely horrible.... If there was communication in regards to why such late boarding we did not hear or get it. Our frig never worked, even though we continuously asked about getting a different one. I had beers and water delivered so that we could enjoy a few drinks in our room but we could never get them cold... Our bathroom seemed to not have gotten cleaned because of the hair on the floor in the sink and in the shower. Super disgusting.. The remote for the TV also only worked after continuously pressing the buttons, removing batteries ect... when we asked about it we were told that it really wasn't the right remote that is why it didn't work correctly. um ok The food was probably the biggest disappointment. Of the cruises that we have taken I have never had such low quality food. Our evening dinners were NEVER even warm... and we are not that picky of eaters but even the buffet food was difficult to find something warm. We did like the fresh omelette station which doubled as a sandwich stop during the day too. The hamburgers were good also. But we did not go on a cruise to eat hamburgers.... We met several other couples that expressed the same feelings about the food. If I would have found a review previously on this I probably would not have selected this ship. As of now I would not ever go on another Carnival line cruise. Read Less

Wife and I decided to forgo Anniversary and Christmas presents and go on a cruise instead. We are both glad that we made that choice. This is our second Carnival cruise and we had a blast. I know people like to call it the party cruise line but it really wasn't any different than the Norwegian Cruises we have gone on. This one had very few children most likely due to the time of year. Embarkation onto the ship was lightning fast. We had filled out our stuff online...we after showing passport we pretty much walked onto the ship. No hassles at all. When we got to our room, we were quite surprised at the size of it. We just booked an interior room as we figured we wouldn't be in the room other than to sleep and chose to save our money for other things. The room was big, with huge closets, and a nice dressing area. The bathroom was a typical cruise bathroom. Flat screen TV on the wall....but the TV choices were pretty bad. Room was clean and was well serviced throughout the trip. The dining experience was very good throughout. Everything seemed to be of good quality and was all at least on par with what you would find at a chain restaurant like TGIFriday's. They have minimized most of the luxury items like lobster or put those on the premium menu, but even the nightly dinner options had something for everyone. Our wait staff was amazing. Steven and his assistant Ronald and Audeleen were one step ahead of us at every turn, and Steven surprised us as he was the featured waiter in the end of cruise show. Our best meal was a breakfast with steak and eggs....the steak being a 6 oz filet mignon that was cooked PERFECTLY. We love Carnival's chocolate lava cake and had that every night but one. The other deserts were hit and miss but there was good variety each night. The buffet was average and to us was the least enjoyable option. We enjoyed the burgers from Guy Fieri's, the Chinese food from Chopsticks and the Pizza Pirate. None were the best we ever had, but all were at least restaurant quality. People that we talked to that went to the Mexican eatery said it was very good. We didn't check out the sushi or the deli. We didn't drink a lot of alcohol but the drinks we did get were good and had a fair amount of alcohol. The entertainment highlights were definitely the comedians. Steve White and Al Romero were the two on board, and both were hilarious. Steve did 4 different shows and Al did 3. My wife bought Al's book and it is very interesting. Travis was the acoustic guitarist in the main lobby and he was exceptional. The other musical acts did not stand out. We didn't do the nightclubs or the deck dance parties. We LOVE the Dive In movies and watched three of them. It was chillier than expected on the deck, but the staff did provide blankets so we were comfy. I thought the daily schedules were decent every day except the sea day. There just wasn't very much to do during the day and then they cancelled the first showing of the stage show. There were a lot of excursions available. We are frequent visitors to Key West so we just did our own thing there. On Cozumel we did the Thrill and Chill zipline and snorkeling tour. It was a short taxi ride away from the port and was a lot of fun. New experience for my wife and I and we loved it all. The staff was a bit obnoxious with screams and stuff while ziplining but we felt comfortable and safe the whole time. Snorkeling was very basic as they had you follow a guide. It was a great intro to snorkeling....my wife and I are very experienced so it was nothing new to us but the water visibility was amazing and the area had a fair amount to see being right off the beach. When we got down we were supposed to have beach time and access to a bar and restaurant...but by the time we got done snorkeling there were only 15 minutes left. THere should be another hour at least so you can get some beach time. Disembarkation was easy as well, we took our own bags and were off the boat in about 15 minutes and through customs in maybe 10 more. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would recommend Carnival to our friends. THe ship was older but was clean. The food and entertainment was all good for the most part and we felt we definitely got our money's worth. The one significant change I would make would be to have the sea day the first full day, have Cozumel the second day, cruise back to Key West to have time there at night and then return to Miami. We did have a little drama as we had to turn around after leaving Key West for a medical emergency and there was a lost passenger that turned up after a while. Read Less

I have traveled in Miami with a good friend in January. My son suggest us the Cruse. We booked it from Miami just one week before our cruise. The low cost ''4 days Carnival Victory Cruise'' for Caraïbes escapes motived our choice. We started from Maimi and visited Keywest and Cozumel. Ports and shore excursions weren't our priority. So we decided to make excursions by ourselves. It was a good idea and not expensive to reach Paradise beach, were we past a wonderful sunny day. The cabin was on first floor and close to elevator so it was easy to acces upper floor to eat, dance, swim etc... We were very satisfy from staff. Guelmar our roomate at cabin 1343 and Wendie who work at buffet in morning. They were nice and always ready when we need them. Also the staff in upper Pacific restaurant were we eat late dinner. We also enjoyed activités on 9Th floor : Art auction, dance, spa and drink. We recommend the Cruise. Read Less

This was a last minute booking with an amazing deal for a balcony room. We went in with no expectations coming in and left totally blown away with what a great time we had. Overall cleanliness on the boat was impressive in all the common areas. It didn't take more than a few minutes for an un-attended cup or plate to be scooped and cleaned away by service staff. Food was delicious with the exception of the Pizza Pirate. It nice to have that available 24 hours but we only needed to try it once and we were happy to fill up on all the other great options on the boat. Guy's burger joint was delicious as was the blue iquana tacos and burritos. The main dining was room was a great highlight with menus that changes and they always highlighted food influences by the port of call. Don't forget that you can always order more than one appetizer/entree/dessert! Our waiter during our entire cruise was Retno. She was very pleasant and new our name from the first evening and never forgot until we left. Even on open seating night and breakfast, she came by just to say hello and ensure that we were well taken care of. Desserts were always a highlight at every dinner. Entertainment on the boat was good. There was always a good selection of live music to be heard. Travis was a one man acoustic guitar player that was especially good. So were the multiple evenings of Karaoke!!! We definitely sailed with a talented bunch of passengers! Embarkation was quick and organized and leaving the boat was also pain free and easy. Highlighted destination was Cozumel at Chankanaab. All inclusive eating, drinking, snorkelling and finished off with a tequila tasting tour. Definitely worth checking out if you are considering an excursion. I was brave and had the ice and water while there. I have a sensitive stomach and it had no effect on me. Definitely peace of mind if you are worried about that. There's also a starbucks on site if you need a coffee fix. Overall great itinerary, entertainment and value for what was paid. FUN is definitely what was had and Carnival definitely upholds their reputation for being a fun boat. They should also be known for great service which was an unexpected highlight! Great job to all on the Carnival Victory! Read Less

Prior to this cruise I had taken 11 Carnival cruises and loved them all. I had also done this itenerary 3 times in the past and loved it. I was really wanting to visit Key West again and was only 8 days after a cruise on the Fascination, craving another cruise. This one was perfect ,Key West Interary and nice ship i had never been on. Embarkation was quick and easy. This particular ship has the sign and sail cards placed in the mailbox outside the cabin rather than issued at check in,so that speeds things up considerably. You can use your boarding pass to purchase drinks, etc prior to getting to the cabin to pick up your card. I loved the design and decor of this ship,so lovely!! the crew were so nice and helpful at all times. I only had dinner in the MDR twice,as I simply didnt see anything on the menu I was in the mood for the other two days. The food is delicious and of great quality. I booked this cruise for the interary, and it did not disappoint. I booked the Hop on,hop off conch train in Key West so I could see all the sights I wanted. I know you can walk up Duval to get to the Southernmost point, but I was not up for that long of a walk so I did the train. You can get off at a stop and walk over a short distance to it,so thats what i did.Key West is beautiful, and I highly suggest the conch train or the trolley tours for a great tour of the island This trip to Cozumel was my best ever. I booked a tour through the shore excursions desk that included snorkelling, lunch , a tableside guacamole demonstration,as well as a tequila tasting and demonstration. Protip: the passionfruit tequila was my favorite . Yum! this was my first attempt at snorkeling so I struggled a little with getting the hang of keeping water out of the mask and snorkel but when was doing it right it was amazing to look down at the fish and coral just a few feet below me! I felt like I could reach out and touch the fish. This was just a great cruise all around. I would definitely book this ship again. I hear it is going to be redone and changed to the Radiance,so I willl be trying it when it gets done. Read Less

The crew is friendly but rather unhelpful, they never clarified any instructions and I was offered a drink maybe once in my several days by the pool. There was no one out taking drink orders and bringing drinks. The food at the formal dining was not great, and even upon sitting at the bar my younger sister tried to get the crews attention for over 30 minutes. I’m addition when we made it to our second stop we originally were told we could get off at 11, well going through customs has people still on the boat it’s alrwady 2 o’clock. Originally they also said we didn’t have to be back on the hot until 8, that has also been moved up until 6:30. This is the most unruly cruise I’ve ever been on, people are missing their excursions they paid hundreds of dollars for, and frankly it isn’t even worth it to get off the boat anymore. Simply ridiculous. All of this said, we were looking for a cheaper cruise but I feel even for the price it wasn’t worth it. Read Less

So - if you want a cruise director who is annoying, then this is a cruise for you. The cruise director was very annoying, but thinks he is funny and he is not. The ship is in need of repair from rust damage. I have pictures from our room (8435) which show extensive rust-through support beams as well as extraordinarily bad painting with blotches of white paint on the rails, windows, and chairs. Based on previous Carnival Cruises, this was sub-sub par. Put the ship in dry dock and fix it! The ship needs work - it shows throughout the all decks on the ship. Food service was good - given the volume of meals - a good job - Jose and his team in the Atlantic main dining room were awesome. The shows were AWESOME! Until Carnival decides to invest on their fleet via maintenance (we have 8 cruises on Carnival) - I cannot recommend this ship until structural improvements are made. Read Less

The entertainment was pretty good, and our cruise director, Felipe, was awesome. Lloyd, the guy in charge of the comedy club, was great as well. He was very funny. The service was not very good though. The MDR was hard to find a waiter, even with 3 of them assigned to us. The food in the MDR was not very good either. I rarely saw any crew members willing to talk or answer questions except to sell us something, and once we did buy, they ignored us again. Our room was near the elevators on deck 7 and we could hear the music from the bar on deck 3 until midnight. In was glad I brought ear plugs. Fun cruise overall, but I expected more. I choose this cruise because we brought family with us who never cruised before. It was the shortest cruise we ever did. I have always took a cruise with carnival to celebrate my anniversary. I got a gift card that was expired. They didnt sing Happy Anniversary to us or acknowledge us at dinner. This was completely strange to us. We always get a bottle of wine and the waiters sing to us. We actually enjoy the special attention they paid to us on our last cruise. We also told them it was my nieces birthday and they didnt acknowledge her at all. Every night we heard waiters singing happy anniversary and happy birthday to other guests. Destinations were at Key West and Cozumel. I think it would have been nice to know that at both destinations we docked away from all the major attractions, all on the other side of the islands. Key West was too quick, and they rushed us back on the ship ...we had until 1:30, that changed to 1PM and then they told us to be on the ship by 12 noon...we got off the ship close to 8:30AM that left no time to see anything on the other side. The food quality has gone down, cold food, no surf and turf (included) everything was extra which usually isnt for at least one dinner. The activities for late dinner guest were not properly timed. We missed the comedy and other things we would have liked to do. The ship was extra rocky. I witnessed one of the food servers using the restroom and walking out without washing her hands. This is my last carnival cruise. Read Less

My wife, eight friends and I went on this cruise as a work trip. Our first cruise was 4 years ago on the Carnival Liberty and we absolutely loved it. This trip however, paled in comparison to that one and our second trip last year. I have absolutely no complaints regarding the boarding process. It was simple, and seamless, exactly how I remember it. The let down came our first night on the ship at dinner. We ate in the Atlantic dining room and I had the prime rib. I ordered it medium rare, which it was when I received it, no complaints about that, BUT it was cold. This, as I learned quickly would hold true for almost every meal I had on this cruise. My prime rib was cold as were all of my sides. The only food I ate on that ship that was hot were the burgers from Guy Fieri's Burger Joint and the fresh omelette I had for breakfast every morning. Even the breakfast sides(bacon, sausage, potato, french toast, pancakes etc.) were cold. I ate at the buffet only once because the first experience was no different. When I go on vacation, the food either makes or breaks the trip for me and in this case, the food definitely put a damper on my trip. It was certainly not up to the high standards I have come to expect from cruising. Another thing that really irritated me, perhaps more than it should have was the fact that the dress codes for the dining room was not enforced at all. On Carnival's web site, they state that the dress code for their dining rooms are informal and formal. On the informal nights you may wear long shorts and a collared shirt. No bathing suits and t-shirts. On formal nights, dress pants and a dress shirt. Every night we were in that dining room I saw people in bathing suits, t-shirts and flip flop sandals. Even on the formal night there were people in shorts and t-shirts. I asked our server, Conrad why this was happening and he said, "That's the way Carnival is going, catering to a younger crowd." I understand catering to a younger crowd, but either enforce your own rules, or get rid of them! Speaking of Conrad, he was one of the bright spots on the cruise. We sat with him every night and absolutely loved him. Also, our cabin steward, Husry was another bright spot. I feel that we got to know them both quite well. I have no complaints about the ship itself, or the cleanliness. Other than what I've mentioned above, the trip was so-so. If this is the way Carnival is going, then I've probably sailed for the last time with Carnival. Read Less

I have am a slight handicapped passenger. i did not need a wheel chair. I had preregistered on line and the curbside support was great. the first dock people in the terminal were more interested in text on thier cell phones and not helping the passengers. when I asked what time I had to board she said its on my boarding pass. No zone was or number was on the pass that I made on line. I am a gold member and that meant nothring. I had signed up for a 12:30 boarding time and the not attentive two gate agents siad you wil jjust have to wait. when i was charging my phone I can what appeared to the supevisor or the gate area and she said I could have boarded already. We finally started the process of getting onto the ship. That is when all service disappeared. We go to the room after waiting and hour in the buffet area. the buffet line was over an hour wait. there was no assistance offered and I finally gave up and went directly to the salad bar. for a ship with over 3000 guest I would have thought more possible stations then the pasta hamburger and buffet areas would be open. the pizza was also an hour wait and the hambuger and pasta areas were also an hour wait. why the main dining rooms werent open I have no clue. When qwe got to the room. the 3rd wasnt there. We had expected a drop down bed but instead with had a trundle bed with a reaslly crappy mattress. No one was answering the steward line and no one was answering the service line. we finally went to the front desk another 45 min wait. Once I got the desk I was completely rebuffed with the fine print of the contract. if we had been told it was a trundle bed we would not have reserved the extended balcony for three. we would have gotten a standard balcony wiht the drop down ben. I asked for wheel chair assist and waited over 25 min. so my first 4 hours with Carnival were horrible. No food. room number ready and no wheel chair every showed up. when I gave up on the wheel chair another supervisor who was directing the traffic asked if he could help. My legs at that point had giving out and caused me to fall. Again no help from a staff to get up or get a wheel chair. then the continuous annoouncements. We douldnt understand and single word fo the announcements. if the ship needs to do this as load as they are it needs to be fixed. the announcements at 10 am and later should be eliminated and teh training load horns on the cozumel day were horrible. I thinki I load the hearing from laying out on the serenity deck. The food on the ship was about mcdonalds level of tastiness. poor soups, same deserts every night and the meat was 1/2 rate. this was my 11th crusie and 10th with carnival my gold level on this cruise ment nothing except the pin. no captains toast and nothing in docking etc. The service team needs to go to jet blue RCCL or southwest about service. our room steward was decent and no one got an additianal tip. I should have actually reduced all of the tips to $0 dollars. I was with 10 other men and trying to get carnival to get us onto a single table was like asking moses to party the red sea. We ended up with drunk lady that pissed off one of our guest who was celebrating his birthday and we ahd men at 3 other tables. The pizza was only decent. for the wait I would have expected more. It was basic but very greasy. I asked for vinegar for my fries and was told they didnt have any. IN all of my cruises on carnival I looked forward to different appetizer and never turned away a main because the pasta, sauce or meats were great. the sauses were average, the plate was filled with stuff that didnt look or taste good and the desert bar at the buffet was the same stuff each day. I guess the desert chefs have been allowed to serve substandard fare. I will not take the Victory again. I have had a ton better service on teh smaller ships like sendation and facination. and the ship we had in Alaska. I think we will use RCCL and celebrity for future cruises. Read Less

There was 5 of us in total, (20,21) 2 in a 4J cabin #9203 and us 3 (31, 42,48) in an 8D cabin #9229. The kids kept their cabin a mess 90% of the time so cabin steward did very little in their cabin all week. But our cabin steward was good, introduced himself and we never saw him again all week. He did ask us if we wanted service, morning, evening or both? I told him both and he came twice a day. We always had plenty of towels and our beach towels were always replaced. The balcony was small as usual. There was only two mirrors in the entire cabin, bathroom and vanity. There wasnt even a full length mirror in the cabin?! Weird So us 3 were always fighting fo mirror time before dinner. Purchased FTTF but only one of the 5 got their luggage immediately. The rest of us had to wait until after munster to get ours like 4:30. Also though we had 10:30 checkin time, we still were made to wait over an hour to board. First time using FTTF and not sure I will use it again. The 2 things we wanted it for, luggage and early boarding was a bust. We ate every nigth but one in the dining room. We had anytime dining and had to wait every night with a pager to be seated, whether it was 3 of us or 5. Most nights, we waited 30-40 mins. Dinner was okay, nothing to rant and rave about. But we definitely didnt go hungry either. We ate pizza late most nights and there was always a line. Three of us purchased CHEERS package and we loved it. Wont ever sail Carnival without it again! We bought Jeep tour through Viator for $85 a person and loved it. It was our 3rd time doing this excursion so we knew already what to expect. The weahter was perfect all week and we all got beautiful tans to show off when we got home. Went to 2 theater shows and 2 comedy shows. Both were good but comedy shows were the best. Didnt find ship freeze inside venues at night. Disco was packed every night with DJ playing a variety of music from 80s-current. All in all a wonderful cruise for the price we paid. $400pp for a balcony on Lido pool deck was cheap! Looking forward to going again real soon. Any questions, message me. Read Less

Sailed Non 2017. We loved this ship from the minute we got on-board. It was showing it's age a bit but nothing terrible. I believe it is in dry dock at the moment for a small update. Which will be great because we are returning on the same cruise in Feb. 2018, same cruise, same ship and same room. Felipe Couto is the cruise director and he is amazing. By far the best we have ever seen. Looking forward to seeing him next month. Back to the cruise. We were worried 4 days would pass too quickly but it didn't. We had a great time. Food, entertainment and the ship were just great. We did not take any excursion because of the short itinerary and mainly because we cruise for the ship. We stayed on-board and enjoyed ourselves. We have cruised on other cruise lines but we prefer the Fun Ships of Carnival. This will be our 5th cruise with Carnival and will definitely not be our last. F or those who have cruise with Felipe Couto, Woohoo! Read Less

We’ve done the same cruise last two years. Cheap cruise, but excellent time. We got engaged on the victory in 2015. We went again the same week in 2016 and got married in Key West on the second day. The whole crew was excellent the entire week. Super bar tenders that we attended all week. I honestly have zero complaints. The food in the dining room is just ok, but we are fine with that for the price we paid. We already have a spring break cruise booked on carnival triumph for the family in March. We had a suite so we had the faster to the fun. I don’t think we will go again without it. It is worth every penny. As for the ports, Key West is awesome. They had cleaned up nicely from the hurricane. Looking forward to going back again. Cozumel, is what it is. Very touristy, but a fun time. Read Less

The embarkation was fine. We had faster to the fun. Day1 was good. everything went fine we had Mytime Dining. The staff that day was good. (we should have asked to sit in their area the rest of the cruise), Day 2 our dining room experience was less than good. The staff seemed very unorganized. It was my wifes Birthday. The waiter and I sang happy Birthday because he could not find any of the other staff to help. I had to ask for dessert! They did not offer Coffee after Dinner. Day 3 was just like day 2 we had to ask for Dessert and Coffee. Day 4 was even worse. We were seated and 2-3 minutes later the table next to us was seated. (3 Fairly Young Females) The assistant waiter came almost immediately and took their order. About 10 minutes later the Waiter stopped to ask if we had ordered. I said no we have not. And informed him the service was horrible. It was the same staff we had on day 3. I did make a mistake when Booking this cruise. I did not review the ship prior to booking. I did not realize there was not a Steakhouse or a Guys on this ship!!!!. The food was ok but this ship needs to be remodeled and other choices added. The staff in the Atlantic Dining Room was mediocre at best. We have been on other ships and this has been our only bad experience. Had it only been 1 night I would have marked it up to just on off day. However it was 3 out of 4 nights, This makes me think it is a management issue. Key west was ok We did the hop on hop off trolley. In hindsight I would probably rent a gold cart and tour on our own. Maps are easily available. Cozumel was good as usual. We enjoyed most of the Cruise just not the service side of it. The Comedians were funny. the Shows were decent. I will not cruise on this ship again! Read Less

This was my second cruise and overall, it was amazing! The food was particularly wonderful, the staff was friendly, the activities were plentiful and even the hiccups left my best friends and I with some amazing stories! Ship: Overall, the ship was well-decorated (personal opinion), clean and easy to navigate. The only negative we encountered about the ship overall was that in some areas (certain hallways, common areas) there was an unpleasant "restroomy" smell. Cabin: We booked an interior cabin that was supposed to have two twin beds and a pull out couch since we had 3 guests. The ship was not able to accommodate that request and instead gave us an average sized interior room with two beds. We were told that a cot would be brought to our room. It wasn't delivered until very late at night which would have been inconvenient if we wanted to nap that day or go to bed early. When the "cot" finally came, it was the equivalent of a blow up mattress on the floor. That was a bit disappointing. The linens on this "cot" were also never changed during our 4 day cruise. Other than that, the room was clean and service was good. Dining: The food was EXCELLENT! The Lido deck breakfast never disappointed and the dining room food and service was absolutely superb. One of our guests had a seafood allergy and was given the menu for the following evening every night so that the staff could be sure that her food would be prepared separately and safely. It also gave myself and our other friend the chance to get a sneak peak at what would be served. We also had the chance on this cruise to try the Seaday Brunch and it was delicious. Entertainment: What can I say? It was definitely a "Fun Cruise". During all of our relaxing we didn't get to do as many of the activities as we wanted, but each one we did get the chance to experience was fun. We went to Bingo, Karaoke (the Red and Black Lounge is beautiful btw), the Hairy Chest Competition and the Spa demonstration just to name a few. Ports: Key West was beautiful, but a short trip so plan activities wisely. There is not much of a beach, but the water is beautiful. Also, in regards to the shuttle that Carnival provides to and from the port at Key West, a million people will show up for the last shuttle so try to get there early just to be safe. We loved the Fat Tuesdays here! Cozumel was a lot of fun! We booked the Helmet Sea Floor excursion through Carnival and the experience and service were awesome. The tour guides were super helpful and two free drinks were included! Afterwards, the cab driver that was called for us by the tour guides took us to a resort called "Paradise Island" with the most beautiful heated pool! We could have stayed forever. The beach was a little underwhelming. I prefer the white sand and bluer water I experienced in the Bahamas. I enjoyed the Latinx culture and flavor of this destination but don't know if I would chose it again. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation and I definitely plan on sailing the Victory again when I get the chance! Read Less

The entire wedding experience was so well organized and beautiful. They met every need we had and the ceremony was perfect. The reception was in the night club and the toast, dances, cake and food could not have gone any better. My husband and I are soo happy we made this choice! Personally, I don't see any other way being easier or less stressful. Our wedding guests list included over 30 people and everyone was always able to find something to do that they enjoyed. Smaller groups chose to do different excursions when we all met back at the ship we would talk about our different experiences and everyone said they really enjoyed whatever activity they did that day. The photographer Vitalina did such an amazing job it was impossible to pick which pictures we wanted, they were all great! Our wait staff in the dining hall was incredible and we all miss Yonathon! He and his team made every night so memorable. The food was fantastic and everyone who goes on this ship needs to check out the comedy shows and experience karaoke night. I loved every minute of this trip and will never forget it! Read Less

I was between three and four stars (circles lol) We have cruised to the ports on this cruise before but like both of them. In addition wanted to see Jay Leno. Trying to get good tickets in the Ct Casino where he appears at times isn't easy so we decided to combine a cruise and Leno. Overall a very good time, above average customer care very friendly crew who appeared to really want us to have a good vacation. This helped to bring my rating up. The ship was as clean as it could possibly be, the rooms were just renovated and were very nice. We had a balcony on the Spa level. Generally we may have enjoyed this cruise more than on the Dream and Breeze partly because crew was simply better. The Leno appearance was excellent, laugh after laugh. We did the VIP and he was gracious and getting VIP seating with champagne etc was a nice way to enhance the experience. Shows in general were good, not outstanding but somehow better than we saw on our last cruise on the Dream. Cruise director was everywhere, in a good way. Food was overall quite good, perhaps better on Lido deck than the dining room but both were good. A couple of dining meals were actually excellent and two were ok. (We did not get the Steak upgrades) Breakfast on the Lido deck was quite good we did not eat breakfast in the dining room. Embarking and Disembarking were about the best it has ever been especially Disembarking. We did have to wait longer for our luggage than in the past and we did have FTTF. But FTTF did give us a long time on the Ship with our room available on the boarding day from 11AM. That was extra time by several hours than some other times. The problems. By the end of the third day and on the fourth there was a sewer smell on a couple of the lower decks, 3&4 I believe most noticeable by the elevators. Food lines were generally LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG! They seemed longer than on the larger ships. It seemed like there were fewer crew members to serve and replace food. (Though the crew cleaning tables and the general areas seemed like more and did an excellent job.) At times the Pizza place had one person with many in line many of us gave up on Pizza those times. The Grill (burger) line was a little more reliable to be quicker. Breakfast was hit and miss with sometimes very long lines others not quite as bad. Shopping on board was the usual though my Wife found a very nice CZ ring for a good price. Read Less

Ship MS Carnival Victory Date 2/6/2017 Folks, I am a gold member on Carnival so I obviously have been on several cruises. Just some thoughts on our experience for your consideration - you decide for yourself. This is the seventh ship in the fleet we have sailed on - and by far the worst. The ship is dirty, especially the windows - just terrible. Carnival is in the process of rejuvenating the cabins, which in my opinion, is hanging new curtains in a haunted house. The new rooms are okay, but not great. Watch out for construction since Carnival does not list this on their site. We had a room, 8401, that was directly next to the construction zone. To their credit, Carnival made this better with a credit - but - would have been nice to know before going. If you don't mind saws cutting through metal at 9 AM, then please ignore. The room steward, Edy, was awesome. The cruise director, Marcelo aka Marshmallow, was great. He is high energy, entertaining, shares his personal life - and all-around the best cruise director ever. He should be an employee of the month. One note - please eliminate the all-deck broadcasts at 10 PM - some of us go to bed a bit early. Limit the announcements to the common areas and not the hotel portion. Also, balcony was a good size, special amenities were provided as ordered, but the room never was cold enough for my taste. Food - well okay. The hot buffet food on the Lido deck, was cold - ALWAYS! The food was tasty, but cold???? - no way. The dessert selection on the Lido deck was pathetic at best. Also, be aware, there are only two buffet lines - often very crowded. While I am talking about food - why have a no shirt, no shoes policy if not enforced? I really don't want a person with no shirt or a dripping wet bathing suit reaching over the food. Most health departments require this standard to be met - yet Carnival AND other cruise lines look the other way. And having no shoes is just asking for a sanitary issue. Food rates a -1 from me. Entertainment - you know the specialty shows in the big theater. AWFUL - the female lead was so out of key on some songs it was really hard to figure out the song. The worst of the two shows was Living in America primarily based on my experience listening to the female lead. The male lead was very good, the live band was awesome, the sets were disappointing, and the lighting was nice. One note - if you sit on the second or third level on the right side, the speakers have seen better days especially the woofers which have cracked speaker cones. Guest Services and Shore Excursion staff - outstanding! Comedy shows - well, Percy Crews II is amazing - funny, respectful, spontaneous, and tremendous personal values. Billy Washington - just my opinion - lazy, not engaged and somewhat boring.I will be sending a separate email to the CEO about his performance and I will leave it there. Overall, I will never sail this ship again. Carnival is trying but this ship is not worth your dollars or investment. A very disappointing experience given other Carnival ships. Absolutely one of the worst ships I have sailed on. I am a Carnival advocate. Like the line, the people, the itineraries, entertainment, crew and service personnel. Just will never do this ship again. Read Less
