It sailed on my sons birthday and he only likes weekend cruises . I love carnival and went in with an open mind because some folks are just too nit picky. This is an older ship but it feels like back in the day cruising. Plus we had a great amazing deal with perks. The staff was amazing from the guest services young lady Alexandra to our cabin steward who’s name I just can’t spell. The piano bar guy Mike is a must see ! He’s phenomenal! And the one comedian on our trip ken Boyd ? Omg ! Never laughed so hard in my life ! Holly the host in the punchliner was awesome. Folks on the cruise were nice , friendly and polite. Did well on the casino as well playing black jack with Sushi. The movies at night on lido were excellent choices as well with popcorn to munch on. Had a fanstastic time . Oh and let me tell you our beds in cabin 9228 were the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in on a ship. Knocked out immediately and the temp in the room was perfect MDR was good . One night my food was cold but I told the waiter and he got me a fresh dish warm and post haste . Best breakfast ever is a breakfast burrito from the blue iguana! Had that twice ! The shows in the theater ? Someone needs to hire a pro and teach these poor folks how to dance. It was bad ! I’ve never walked out on a show but ? Again piano bar , comedian and the bands that played next to the casino were amazing ! Read Less

If you're looking for a cruise with nonstop fun, Carnival does just that for you. My boyfriend and I cruised Jan. 11th-14th and it was my boyfriend's first cruise. He's never been very interested in cruising before but after this fun 3-day cruise, he already wants to book his next. Embarkation was very easy and quick and we left our luggage with the guys at the port so once we got on the ship we went straight to Cantina and had some deliciousss tacos! The fun began with the Sail Away party which was SO much fun and they had a special on margarita pitchers so... enough said. Food was great, music was great, very upset that we didn't get lobster on elegant night 'cause let's face it, Carnival can afford it and we are paying for it and for past cruisers, WE KNOW YOU USED TO OFFER IT SO..... I'd like to make a special shout-out to our room attendant Johnny from Peru. He was awesome, so attentive, and always ready to help us with anything we needed. Also, the guys from the restaurant were so sweet and patient and helped us make great selections. I, unfortunately, forgot their names but they were a wonderful group from Singapore and Iran. The cabin was very nice and clean, I really liked it, the bed was so comfortable and there are automatic lights that turn on when your feet hit the floor in case you need to use the bathroom late at night. The entertainment on board was awesome, the performance at dinner was hilarious and the shows at the theatre they have is SPECTACULAR! One thing I didn't like was that on Deck 8 there was a weird mildew smell by the elevators and constant smell of weed which surprised me being that the rooms are always being cleaned and I figured by the end of the first day they'd nip that in the bud quick. Also, they only have four of those private bed things on the Serenity Deck and I feel they could add a few more of those!! I don't think I would do Victory again only because I'd like to explore other ships but for anyone who hasn't ever gone, I'd definitely recommend. Read Less

Firstly when we got onboard it smelt like poop then go to the cab and there's no water they fix that then only cold water. The crew was not the nicest. The bartenders were kind of rude when you just ordered a Coke. The food was okay nothing great not much on the buffet to choose from if you don't like seafood. The cruise director and shows were great. The amount of marijuana that was smoked on the boat with a bit too much for my liking. People were smoking it in the smoking section as young children were walking by. The pools were always overcrowded and hot tubs. The Pizza Chef was very rude. The serving staff in the dining were awesome. The guest services Workers were always very rude when you went up there. The merchandise in the shops were good priced in my opinion they are very pleasant employees. Read Less

many of my friends was talking about the carnival cruise- so for my fiance's birthday- i suggested a cruise to the bahamas. here's a rundown of our cruise: 5/4: Tagging our luggage- very nice person- he informed us where to go and where to line up at- very helpful since we informed them that we were 1st time cruisers. Lining up at Guestcare- just so that we can put a credit card on file- which later i found out that we didnt need to put one on file. stood in line for 1 hour- no biggie- we were enjoying the scenery. getting on the ship: was cool- everyone was nice and pleasant to be around- we walked around until our room was ready. After 2.5 hours- we started to go to our room- per our sheet that we got from Guestcare- PROBLEMS: someone elses luggage was there- sheet that gave us iteneraries for the day- was not US- the room was supposed to be decorated with balloons and a drink for my birthday surprise for my fiance- WAS NOT THERE OR DONE. so.....thinking - it was simple mistake- we will find our luggage the decorations must have been an oversight- no problem- BUT- when we asked our stewards about our luggage- he was not helpful- said- "they were very busy and maybe 2 hours- we can get our luggage".... or " i can go to Guestcare- soo...we decided to go to Guestcare- where there was a line of people and long and behold- our luggage was sitting on the hallway- tag has been removed from porting- so there was no way of us finding out unless we look inside the luggage- which we did and thats how we find out that was our luggage. 5/5: we asked several for room service, since our room has not been cleaned- we asked for clean towels- only to be told that - they are on thier way to cleaning the rooms... 5/7: carnival DOUBLE charge my debit card- i had to wait until 5/9 to call guestcare and talk with them so that i can have my bank release the funds- in the meantime- my account in the negative for 2 days- no money until they released it- it was exhausting- Guestcare said that they failed to tell us about the hold- ...overall- the rest of the cruise was good- carnival pushes for Guestcare and how amazing they are- but we didnt feel- it was awful experience at first. we would like to cruise again- not sure if we will use carnival this time tho- but i really liked my carnival planner- greg- tho.. This was my 7th cruise but the first with Carnival. The experience was what I expected which was a good cruise trip. This was a "guys trip" weekend getaway so the price of the cruise is what drove us here. The boat was dated, but clean. We had a balcony room with was a smaller balcony that I've had on other ships, but did have two chairs and was an ok place to sit. Food lines were long at the buffet and most of the food was mediocre at best. Certainly the lowest quality of food I've had on a ship. That being said, the pizza station actually made a very good pizza to your specs. The seafood bar was nice (but an additional charge). The crew were all VERY nice and helpful. A massage at the spa was $129 for 50 minutes and was ok. They hit you hard about buying all their products when you're done which wasn't the most pleasant way to end the massage. 15% gratuity is added to every drink order and the cost of the "all you can drink package" is high in my opinion. Both occupants of the room have to buy the package and it is almost $0 per day per person. For our cruise, leaving Friday afternoon and returning Monday morning (7am) they wanted $395 for the drink package. (which limits you to 15 drinks a day) Beer was $8.00 a pop so you can figure out your breakeven point. It is a younger, less refined party clientele and for a guys weekend party trip was the perfect ship. I will choose other cruise lines when taking the wife on a nice vacation. Overall the majority of the Victory crew were very nice and helpful Read Less

Always wanted to go to Miami and the Bahamas. We got taken care of with one trip. Arriving at the Port and boarding was quick and easy. We had priority. Everyone was great. Drinks wait time was quick the whole cruise. Tip the bartender on the first day last day. He knew my drinks and would tend to me as soon as I walked up. Wait staff was quick and attentive. Late dining for ud no rush or to be pushed out. First stop after day at sea. Half Moon Cay was beautiful and we got a villa for 8½ of ud. Best decision we made. It was hot and we had shade with AC along with hot tub. Great place for pictures. Next stop was Nassau. Spent our day at the British Colonial. Not bad but not sure if I would do it again. Did some nice shopping rather my wife did. When we returned to Miami. We were off the ship by 8:15 am. Process was fast and organized. We took the Carnival shuttle which was worth. Lady working tjere boarding was rude but forget about her. Will do again. Read Less

Just being able to spend the day at Half Moon was worth the trip! I wish we could have stayed longer! I was sceptical about tendering but it was a double deck tender and it fit at least 150 -200 ppl so it went real fast! As it turns the pathway corner to get into the island is gorgeous! The BBQ was not bad either - the selection was pretty darn good and I am particular. The chocolate brownies were scrumptious - different texture that I would love to be able to have the recipe for...crumbly but moist. The weather started cloudy but by 11 am it had cleared; however, even if it hadn’t the day would have been just as great clouded over. The water was crystal turquoise blue and clear to the bottom with no waves. It was like a perfect watering hole - I fell in love with it and wished we could have stayed loner! The cruise ship was packed with spring break families and the embarkation was easy - the buffet was a little nerve racking because there were line ups everywhere but everybody got to eat in due time. Night entertainment was pretty decent too.Fitness centre excellent! Can’t complain about anything! This was a party boat - everybody was game to live it up! If you don’t like crowds then this is not for you. We neither love it nor do we hate it. Nassau was also gorgeous - we took a taxi to Paradise Island where we bought a $47.00 pp pass to walk the resort and visit the aquariums and then spend time at the hotel beach. It was well worth the pass to see the premises. We even got a free tour from Caitlin at the aquarium who explained everything about the fish and the site highlights. Great little cruise! Read Less

Depressing and old ship, the service was terrible the bartenders and one Asian guy serving the burgers who basically through us a food we don't understand how a person like that works in a cruise. Thank God our waiter at the restaurant (Mario) was very friendly because if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have anything positive to say about the service. The quality of the food in general is horrible. There was only one show (living in America) which by the way was very good. The Latin band not organized, always starting late and didn't have a program to follow they improvised all the time. The smoking areas were in the middle of the ship in the bar next to the casino an area too big and impossible to avoid. the pool area also people smoking. We don't recommend this ship to anybody and never returning to this ship again. Read Less

We chose this cruise because we found $40 airfare from Hartford to Fort Lauderdale and the cruise dates fit right in. We got a balcony rate of $278 due to some previous cruis gambling. Our room number was 6351. Very noisy at night when there was a band in the lobby. Otherwise it was pretty quiet. We loved the ship and all its amenities and spent a lot of time in the casino. I was invited to leave each of the nights because they were closing. We did very well and covered our bill. I could not get accustom to the food however and it really bothered me. Everyone else on board were clearly loving the food so as usual it was me. Our room was great our steward was excellent as was the whole crew. We stayed onboard in Nassau because we were there last October and had no desire to go back. We just wanted to cruise. I can fully recommend the Victory. We had a great time and would choose the Victory again. Read Less

First of all I am a Platinum member on Carnival. Over the last several years we have witnessed first hand the deterioration of Carnival. The Ship itself has seen a lot better days. Old and grimy looking. Public bathrooms were disgusting. Buffet area is very tight. people were playing the blue tooth speakers full volume. Security did nothing. Cabins have no soundproofing what so ever. You could hear everything. Cruise is full of young people. A fight broke out in the elevator and kids were crying. Carnival Has sunken to a new low and its a shame. I have one more scheduled with Carnival from California that I am absolutely dreading. After I will only cruise NCL, RCCL and MSC. I just cannot believe how Carnival has allowed this to happen. Its very sad. Please save your money and do not even bother unless you are into booze cruising with hooligans and thugs. I'm sorry to have lay it out this way but its the truth. Service was just average Read Less

This was my first cruise and my best friend's second. We were celebrating our Spring Break and her birthday. Overall, we had an AMAZING time and can't wait to do this itinerary again! I'll hit the highlights! Ship: The Victory is beautiful, clean and easy to navigate. Cabin: We booked a deal where our room was chosen for us and we were luckily placed in a beautiful ocean view room. Our steward was super friendly and made sure to speak each time he saw us. My friend was given a gift card to the spa and a coupon for the photo shop which came in handy! We loved the towel animals and our room was clean and fresh each day. I got better sleep on this cruise than I ever have!! I almost felt guilty for how much I slept but that's how comfortable the room was! Dining: The food was amazing every night! The service was also absolutely wonderful. Ports: This was an overnight Nassau cruise. We enjoyed the culture and vibrance of Nassau as soon as we stepped off the ship. Some people complain about the pushiness of the vendors as you are leaving the port, but we just took in stride as part of the experience. It only lasted a few minutes before everything fizzled out and after that, the vibe was very laid back. We walked to Junkanoo Beach and ate the best fresh, seafood from a shack. They were also playing music and selling drinks. A wonderful time. While there we also did the Catamaran Sail and Snorkel excursion. It was a great time although the boat was a bit crowded so the catamaran wasn't exactly relaxing, but the snorkeling was great and there were beautiful fish. My friend is not a strong swimmer, but the crew helped her several times to get her bearings and still enjoy the experienced. We topped our day off at Fat Tuesdays which is always a good time! I booked this cruise along with one of my friends and their family members. This was actually my second time cruising, but my first cruise with Carnival. My overall trip was okay, but it definitely wasn't that great for me to want to return. The first day of the cruise, the ship rocked back and forth roughly throughout the day. We had to cut our night short because we both got sea sick. Not to mention that they were very unorganized for the orientation. We spent almost 45 minutes standing in a tight crowded corner while they explained how to put on a life vest which took only 5 minutes to do. The second day we arrived at Nassau and had an excursion scheduled. Before leaving the ship, we were provided wrist bands which we assumed would be for the Atlantis water park and Dolphin swim. However, after boarding off the boat, we noticed everyone had on different color bands and some had 2 bands. Had we not paid attention to this I would have been extremely upset because the person who checked our tickets failed to pay attention to the type of excursion we had and gave us a wrist band just for Atlantis. We had to wait for someone to come off the ship and go through all the tickets to confirm that we provided them the right ticket. Waste of time there. After we got the correct wrist band. we were able to go enjoy ourselves. We got back on the ship around 7 to attend dinner. The dining service for all 3 nights was terrible. It took forever for the waiter to bring our food and the second night I had to ask for my appetizer 3 times before the waiter remembered to bring it to the table. I finally received that order after everyone had finished their entrees. Staff not that friendly. We did however enjoy all of the activities that we took part in. I wouldn't rush to book another cruise with Carnival. Read Less

This was my very first trip on Carnival and possibly my last. I was told to try other Carnival ships before avoiding them all together but I don't know if I want the hassle. The people and vibe on the ship was great, but...... First off, I was told that tea and water would be the only free non-alcoholic beverages to drink all day, so I purchased the soda and bubbles package (something like that) just to get lemonade and maybe a sprite or something if I needed to settle my stomach for any reason. I am highly pissed about spending the $6.50 per day (times two because my roommate had to buy it as well) and was not even able to use it. The lemonade and breakfast juices were free for everyone to drink all day... FREE! I spoke to the lady at the counter, no title because whatever her position was, she was not helpful at all. Whenever I tried to ask about getting a soda, it was either not registered to use with my card or given to me without swiping my card which lets me know that I was billed for no reason for drinks that were FREE. Yes, CARNIVAL, I want my money back because that purchase was misleading and a false advertisement for more money. I also prepaid gratuities and was still charged gratuity on every purchase I made. The food was just okay, nothing spectacular. The club and music was great. The ship is also pretty old and the design is poor. If a certain areas are "adults only serenity areas", then why is the entrance to the water slide in the center of the adults only area and kids are lined all the way down the stairs and running around the entire area. Really!!! Some parents even had their kids in the adults only area with them.. Unreal. There was no separation at any time for adults. The cruise manager was very energetic, but the constant announcements over the intercom became too much after a while and were annoying. I can still hear "Chhhhheeeeerrrrrriiiiiooooo!" I guess he wanted to be memorable and he was, unfortunately for me, successful. Checking out and getting off the ship was a nightmare. Only one person was at the counter to assist people in the middle of the night who were trying to avoid long lines. The self check out machines were broken and only one was up and running the last night. The morning we docked, the computer systems went down which meant that there were lines and lines of people trying to get off the ship, but could not. I was three hours late getting off the ship and almost missed my flight. No one at the port gave directions to catch the shuttle to the airport so I was running around like a crazy person trying to get to the airport as fast as I could and I just did make my flight. Yes, so over that part of the trip. Read Less

This was the worst and the best of cruising on Carnival. First, PLEASE believe me that I always go into every situation hoping for the best but...somehow, some way or someone turns my attitude sour. From the beginning when I got that robocall announcing the delay in embarking, I got that ol' bad feeling... On this cruise, the entertainment and the food were disappointing. The crew and staff were outstanding. Every bartender and waiter who took my sail-and sell-card remembered my name. Every steward who helped me, even those who merely answered a question, remembered my name. Adi, my cabin steward, was first class. Wesner, my dining room waiter, remembered my name and my drink. All of this adds up to a high "Jack Factor" score, named after my buddy Jack who only sails on Carnival because he loves being addressed personally on cruises. Personally, I don't care what you call me as long as you bring me my drink immediately. The first night's show was cheesy, with dancing that resembled cheerleaders imitating modern dance. The set was minimal, with a muslin backdrop with painted portholes suspended between poles representing a ship's hull. Laughable. The singers were tolerable--in this show the guy was more talented than the girl. "Matey," the Cruise Director, was along to "entertain" with his "magic" and his "personality" as emcee. The best of all was the band. More entertainment criticism to follow. The food was in general--from my memory of previous Carnival cruises--downhill. There was less of everything--from choices on menus and buffets--to quality of ingredients. The pizza was below average (for me, it was inedible), the burgers were abominable and the eggs (and salmon) Benedict were abhorrent. I expect poached egg, not hard-boiled. I do NOT expect Hollandaise sauce to be a solid, with a crust, that lets knives bounce atop. Then, the worst disappointment was Chef's Table which I was SO looking forward. They repeated the same damned menu I had aboard Carnival Elation in 2015! They couldn't come up with some innovations? Why shouldn't they update the cuisine? Why is there NOTHING fresh, including CANNED mangoes and canned magicians? Highlight: galley tour. Lowlight: I can't believe that the ONE night that MDR serves Escargot Bourguignonne, my favorite, was Chef's Table night. As far my cabin, it was fine, except the location noted below. Clean, fresh decor is delightful with the fake louvers on the door, the photo wall graphics and the blue stripes on the duvet. Best: those new flat-screen HD TVs are wonderful for checking your own videos. The reasons I bought this cruise were threefold: 1. So cheap they threw in a fourth night for free. 2. It was SO cheap they charged the single supplement and it was STILL under my budget. 3. Two years before I started collecting ship models I was aboard Victory. I managed to find (or buy aboard) one from every ship I've traveled aboard--except Victory. The only one to get a model of that ship--is go aboard. That $30.00 model wound up costing me $533.00 excluding drinks. Read Less

This was my parents first trip and they loved it. Dinner was very good in the dining room. Lunch could get crowded on the lido deck but we would have a cocktail and wait the crowd out. On Nassau we did a Segway rides and it was awesome!! Worth every penny and so much fun, our guides were fantastic!!!! This was my third Carnival cruise and the most disappointing. The cabin decor was very old and the breakfast and lunches were cafeteria caliber food. The 24-hour pizza kiosk was the best! Hate the idea that only water and cheap lemonade are offered as beverages, sodas should be included. The day at sea did not offer many activities, that could be a plus for those wanting the vegetate and do nothing. Long lines to eat breakfast and lunch. The Cat in the Hat breakfast was a high point, only $5 per person and the food was very tasty. My granddaughter very much enjoyed the character breakfast. The Sea and See shore excursion was a joke, especially the "tour" portion which was no more than a bus ride to a shopping area, not an island tour as advertised. Not worth the $80 per person cost. We set sail on the Victory! We wanted to celebrate 2 special birthdays. What a great time and the staff helped make it extra special. Our 16 yr old totally enjoyed himself. He enjoyed himself at the teen center (said he was not going to go there) spent hours there and hung out with other kids. He also took in the late night movies. The cabin was redone and so much room for the 3 of us. When we got to Nassau the 16 yr old went snorkeling for the first time and 2 REEFS did an awesome job very friendly. The staff, food and entertainment was awesome. And of course the casino!! Can't wait for our next cruise we are so ready to sail away with Carnival again! Best Karaoke I have heard in a long time. Although the cruiseship was showing a bit of wear and tear and our cabin was old (they have refurbished the cabins since), we had a great time and had so much fun. I did wish I had booked a room that wasn't mid-ship because there was noise in the hallways on the first night... The staff and crew members were all so nice and efficient and to our surprise, the food was fantastic. We ate at Chopsticks and Pizza Pirate every single day. The food in the MDR was also pretty good. We loved the show Vrooom and we tried not to miss the comedy shows. Overall, the cruise was an excellent value for the price we paid. We are already booked for another cruise on the Victory (I was told that it's going to be a Funship 2.0 when we go back... Can't wait!) Read Less
