OK, Yet What Did They Do When in Dry Dock?

It was a speciality 10 day charter cruise, and as we were told the ship was in dry dock for the almost the month of January 2018 and we were the second cruise after dry dock. We found the staff to be very attentive and very good at providing the services. Yet, basically I have to ask why was a hot tub broken, did they even clean the windows, the solarium broke the third day of the trip, ...

We chose this cruise as a special family celebration. The staff on board was OUTSTANDING! Never a complaint with the employees. However, the ship had just come out of dry dock and we were expecting clean, neat, issue free sailing. There were three rooms in our group. One of the three had major issues; flooded toilet, no working toilet for part of a day, and horrible smells, on multiple days, ...

This cruise was supposed to be a special occasion for us but instead it wound up being our worst cruise ever. We were coming off of an NCL cruise in Miami and just had to walk down the dock to get to the Carnival Terminal and the Victory. We got there about 30 minutes ahead of our 10am scheduled arrival and had a seat outside the terminal entrance. At 10am the question was asked, "What's going ...

As this ship was just out of dry dock we expected it to be in tip top shap, WRONG! They were still putting it back together, decks you could not go out on because the railings were loose or missing, bathrooms/toilets that were out of order the entire cruise, our cabins was next to one they were working on all week and constantly smelled of acetone, we were not able to be in our cabin, each night ...

Because of Hurricane Matthew, my Bahamas cruise was rerouted to The Grand Turk. I was sent an email 3 days before my sail date. When I looked at the new itinerary, I saw that I went from having 3 stops to just one. The missing 2 stops were replaced with "fun day at the sea." I called and spoke with a Lead Customer Solutions employee. She flat out told me that there would be no compensation for my ...

We were initially not assigned a room until our boarding day. Our luggage tags were labeled TBA. At the airport they found our names and tagged the luggage with a room on the 9th deck. During the embarking we were given our room card on the 2nd deck. When we told her it was different she said "they'll figure it out". While walking around we got off the elevator on the 9th and there they were...on ...

I filled out the third-party survey questionnaire that Carnival sent out, but thought I'd share my 'essay' answers and observations with others. This was our first cruise so we enjoyed it immensely. For so long now, extravagant vacations have been out of the ordinary for us, both situationally and financially. We were land-locked, mature empty nesters and celebrating our 27th wedding ...

We have been back from our cruise for about a week and I was thinking about how great the trip to Florida was. This was our fifth total cruise and our fourth one on Carnival. Compared to the other Carnival cruises it was second best one, but noticed some cutbacks. As far as embarkation, we ran into some weather problems and were traveling from West Palm beach and cut it too close to get on ...

Not sure where to start. I guess I'll go do the "good, bad and ugly" Good- -We had a late flight we got to the Port of Miami around 3:00 PM. Only took 15 minutes to get on the ship. (Glad we didn't do the faster to the fun--would have been a total waste) -Most of the staff attempted to be helpful. -Pizza Pirate, Carnival deli and the burgers served on the lido deck were ...

My wife and I flew down to Miami from Minneapolis on 1/17/16 and stayed overnight at the Embassy Suites Airport in Miami. We have stayed at this fine hotel before many pasts cruises. They have a nice managers cocktail "hour" and a full breakfast the morning before you board. We take a cab to the port which runs about 30.00. The hotel also has a airport shuttle to and from the airport to the hotel. ...
