This ship was nice and obviously brand new when we got on. Boarding was a breeze. Everything smelled like it was installed yesterday, which for most things, they were. We had an Inside Spa room which was a fine size. Unlimited access to Spa amenities was nice. Arrived in Venice Monday evening (had planned to arrive Monday morning but missed flight from Catania, Sicily...misjudged traffic snarls in Sicily!) This was the inaugural sailing of the Carnival Freedom and we had an absolutely wonderful time from embarkation to debarkation! We traveled to the pier via bus, the transfer was uneventful. Upon arrival at the pier we noticed it was quite a distance from where the bus let us off to where we actually entered the terminal building and then to get to the ship they shuttled us on a bus along the pier. ...

My experience on this ship was primarily a negative one. A co-worker and I shared a interior cabin. She is in her late 20's I am in my early 40's. The medium age on this ship was close to 60. Although we requested two twin beds when we arrived we had a double bed. This was corrected immediately and I have to say that for the most part the service we received was good.
