I chose this cruise as a way to get to Hawaii and see all the different islands. It served that purpose, and I enjoyed the trip overall. The naturalist on board was very personable and knowledgeable. As others have mentioned, the cabin was cold most of the time and there was no way to turn on the heat. I had a sweater, so it wasn't too big a problem. My main complaint is that they ...
We joined a group and wanted to visit Hawaii.
Overall its been an OK cruise mostly because of entertainment and tender ports.
The ship isn't big with 2000 passengers but it still took over an hour to disembark. The worst performance in over 15 cruises.
Service in cabins and at dinner is excellent.
Music entertainment is repetitive and when asked about introducing dance music... we were ...
First trip of the Alaskan season, couldn't pass up how cheap it was compared to the weeks to follow. Trip started out rough, arrived to port on time then had to wait in customs once i had cleared it with a few hundred people only to have the people after we arrived go straight on the ship while we waited. The line to get sail and sign cards was not a well oiled machine but a very unorganized line. ...
The boarding process was the worst seen to date. We were on this very same cruise last year and the boarding process went well. We remembered none of the total kayos of this trip. What happened? It’s obvious the scheduled boarding times mean nothing. I believe all the passengers were there at 1100 ready to go along with all the passengers from another company were there as well. The lines ...
The best part of this cruise were the passengers. An older crowd, I found courteous, friendly, diverse, and very interesting. The ship itself was well decorated but clean enough. In the public areas I found dirty bathrooms. My cabin had areas that we had to remind the cabin steward to clean. I generally like to sit around the ship and listen to the live music. I did not find the choices much to my ...
My husband and I went on this cruise to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. This was our first cruise on Carnival, we previously cruised on Royal Caribbean. We chose this cruise for it's itinerary which included the Tracy Arm Fjord and Glacier Bay. Our cabin was Oceanview Cabin 1164 mid-ship on Deck 1. For the most part it was a quiet cabin, except it must be located over some kind of ...
We travelled as a family group of 10 (all balcony cabins) from Vancouver. Prior to the cruise we had just finished an excellent Canadian Rockies trip from Calgary to Vancouver with great weather all through. We were all eagerly looking forward to the cruise as it would give us a chance to see some great sights in a relaxing environment. We had seen some awesome sights during the 8 day Rockies tour ...
Well, this was our 10th cruise with Carnival, and so we had certain realistic expectations. Sadly, these expectations were not met by a long shot. From the moment we boarded in Vancouver we noticed that something was definitely "off" about this ship, and that feeling never left us the entire voyage. Service was incredibly poor by Carnival standards. The ship had just arrived from Hawaii, and a ...
We have just returned from a repositioning cruise on the Miracle.
We had great fun and met great people. The staff, especially dinner crew and room stewards were great.
The dining room looked like disco meets bordello disaster!
What was not so great was the buffet at Horatios. The area was poorly designed with food or drink centers at high traffic areas. Food areas were placed here and there ...
Boarding the Spirit in Vancouver was fast and efficient, then time to have something to eat and check out the ship. We had been told to go to our muster station at 3p.m. and there was another couple waiting there already with the same instructions. Waited 15 mins. and nothing happened and nobody else came so we took off to look at the ship only to be turned around by an employee at 5p.m.who sent ...
