A very romantic ship to cruise to Alaska {or any where on?}, a nice dinning experience with the Miracle many Buffets, Restaurants, Bars & Dinning rooms! My only caution - guard your plates - too make sure the waiters don't remove them prematurely?
My up graded cabin, an outside Obstructed life boat room was very nice with a sliding door railing access to fresh ocean air, CA. & AK. views! It ...
We chose to cruise Alaska after doing so 10 years ago and selecting the first ship into those waters for the 2014 season was chancy since we live in FL. But it was a wonderful decision. Not only was the weather sunny and warm, (yes, warm in Alaska), the ports of Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, as well as Glacier Bay National Park were indescribable. Carnival had a full time naturalist on board who ...
Oh My Goodness - this is the second gaudiest ship next to Carnival's Pride. It is in disrepair, worn curtains and fabrics everywhere. Rust and paint missing all over the ship. We are Platinum on Carnival and was shocked to see the condition of the ship. This should be a three day party boat out of Miami not the representative for the Alaska Cruises.
Wonderful trip, weather was sunny and glorious ...
Well, this was our 10th cruise with Carnival, and so we had certain realistic expectations. Sadly, these expectations were not met by a long shot. From the moment we boarded in Vancouver we noticed that something was definitely "off" about this ship, and that feeling never left us the entire voyage. Service was incredibly poor by Carnival standards. The ship had just arrived from Hawaii, and a ...
Just returned a week ago from the first Alaska cruise of the season on the Carnival Miracle sailing from Vancouver. Had an aft suite with a very large balcony.
Overall a very good experience. The ship was nice, I actually liked most the décor, though it is a bit over the top compared to other ships. It was definitely bright, but fun in most places. The hallways decorated with famous people like ...
Recently we cruised on the CARNIVAL MIRACLE. We don't cruise on Carnival any longer because I was a cruise snob!! I cruised on Celebrity mostly, and then on Royal on and off. I have been on 25 cruises and I will say this cruise was one of my top 5!!!
I expected Carnival to be glitzy and the food just so-so, because the three times I had cruised on Carnival that is what we experienced. The food ...
Cast of Characters (and that is quite an understatement):
DH - just semi retired
Myself

DDIL
Two grandsons, ages 3 and 1
We had previously taken a transatlantic cruise with our son, DIL, and the oldest grandson when he was 18 months old. Emboldened by that great experience, we decided to do it again, only with two small children instead of one. Insane? You make the call.
We rented a car ...
This was only our second cruise with Carnival, the first being 10 years ago on a 4-nt. Fascination cruise. We've sailed many times on most of the other lines - HAL, RCCL, Princess, Celebrity - and were a bit apprehensive of this cruise based on some of the negative publicity of Carnival recently.
Well, now we know why it's labeled "The Fun Ship"! We loved this trip, even though the crossing over ...
We have just returned from a repositioning cruise on the Miracle.
We had great fun and met great people. The staff, especially dinner crew and room stewards were great.
The dining room looked like disco meets bordello disaster!
What was not so great was the buffet at Horatios. The area was poorly designed with food or drink centers at high traffic areas. Food areas were placed here and there ...
This was our second sailing with Carnival, the prior was a ten-day Mexican coast cruise on the Spirit two years ago. My wife and I have sailed five times with Princess, five with Holland American and once with RCL.
In my opinion Carnival is a "good value for your money" cruise line for the most part. For some aspects of the cruises I've done with them I would rate them equal with other lines, but ...
