First and Last on Carnival

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Valor

Carnival was the first that popped up during a search. I called them directly and was sold within ten minutes. I wish I had done a little more research on other lines. "You get what you pay for"---I should have remembered that, but for travelling with a family of five, the price was right. I have never seen so many drunken individuals (including young teenagers) anywhere on any vacation. Now I ...

We chose this cruise because we hadn't been to the Dominican Republic and Grand Turk. We live in Florida and drove to the port. Enbarkation was a snap. We arived at the port at 11 am and was having lunch at the fFish & Chips restaurant on deck 10 aft by noon. We booked a private tour with Marysoultours.net in the DR and it was great. It was a city tour and a ride up the mountain on a cable car. ...

First of all let me say that I sailed with 15 friends so we had fun...this was my 7th cruise with Carnival and if you never cruised before you would love it BUT it's a bunch of little things that they use to do that is missing. The passed guest banquet now you have to be Platinum or Diamond to be invited we are Gold.. they also use to do a Free Cruise Bingo on the last day that they did not do on ...

We booked a beautiful Aft Corner cabin that had a lot of balcony. We had 6 chairs, 2 tables, and one lounger. It was like having three balconies. The room was a nice size but not a lot of drawer space. Two normal size drawers, one skinny drawer, and one half drawer because the other half had the hair drier installed in it. I bring clothes on the skinny hangers and it's a good thing because I ...

This boat was recommended by a friend and dining food and service was very good. Friendly staff and great service. The staff work their tails off and hope they get paid well. We gave extra tips at the end of the cruise. The only concern I had was the Purel Antibacterial Gel Stations were often empty, especially noticed this on the level 9 Ledo Deck. I work in a hospital and am particularly ...

Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly and quickly. My husband and I found the ship to be very confusing. We chose Anytime Dining which was in the Lincoln Dining Room and it was like a maze getting to it. Our cabin was adequate for an interior. Food was fair, not much flavour overall except for the desserts, which were good. We enjoyed the comedy shows a lot but the rest of the ...

This is our fourth cruise and third carnival. Traveled with my family of 4 plus sis family of 3. Stayed in Coco Beach for a day. Its a nice place. Embankment was the easiest I've ever experienced. We had a suite and payed for our kids room to get the "faster to the fun. " That's very worth the $!!! We really enjoyed the ship. While the layout was a little strange, we figured it out ...

Clean, good safe ports, excellent service. The kids loved the ice cream machines. The lemonade and coffee was always good. Enjoyed Fish and Chips. Found it the last couple days. Didn't wait to eat at late seating dining room. 8:15 was too late for young children to eat. We should of signed up for 6:00 right away. That time slot was full. Rented a cabana at margaritaville grand Turk. Good choice ...

I didn't care for the decor of the ship at all! Lots of Gold, paintings were ugly, valor...I get it now...presidents, flags, etc... but didn't care for it. We were seated at dinner with another single mom and her 14 y/o daughter and instantly hit it off! This was the highlight of the cruise. The kids enjoyed each others company in the evening eating pizza, ice cream or the arcade together. We ...
