The balcony room was perfect but the matre d was horrible. Didn't see them but 3 days of the cruise. The food was bland and the same thing on the buffet everyday. Fine dining was the best. The ship is one of the older ones, I believe it was built in 2002. The outside shows the age, but has been updated very nicely inside. The entire ship was very clean and nicely maintained. All together my cruise was great. Our cabin steward Imade was excellent & very nice. Every crew member I encountered was polite and helpful. Plenty of food choices; went to Fahrenheit 55 steak house, food & service was excellent. This cruise was most notable for the weather - it was cold, windy, and wet for most of the cruise. Really the only beautiful day was our Half Moon Cay day - so that was nice. But the seas were quite rough most of the time (it's great the ship has stabilizers) too. We chose this cruise as it's only a 50 minute flight to Long Beach. The ship was very clean and I'm not sure how Carnival does it, but their staff is amazing. We took our 7 year old grandson and had a deluxe ocean view with to bathrooms. There was enty of room for the 3 of us. It was 2 hort flights to the Vista dining room.
