Oceanview stateroom with private balcony and twin beds that convert to king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films.
Nice and clean but dated. Tons of storage and the bed wasn't terrible. I felt the balcony was a little small compared to other ships. Ladies - bring your own hairdryer! You do not want to use the medieval torture device attached to the wall. Read entire member review >>
TV is really snowy and this applies to both broadcast and on ship generated channels. Great location by the aft elevator, quiet with only guest cabins above and below you. Convenient to Rio (comedy shows, dining rooms, and Lido Feed Bag). The lack of nightstands seems to add to the size of the room, making it a bit more spacious. Read entire member review >>
Our view was great and the sun rise was beautiful and the sunset was incredible. 3 adults are a max for us and I slept on the couch and was comfortable. I was offered a roll away bed but it took up too much room. There is no place to store it other than under another bed and that was annoying. The couch was just fine and Muhammad made it for me. Our cabin was in a great location, only 2 floors up to all the main activities @ the pool & food. Only 2 floors down to our evening diners. It was pretty centrally located, so easy to get to just about anywhere on the boat.
The balcony we greatly enjoyed! Read entire member review >>
Cabin was clean and well maintained. We found that the balcony needed to be cleaned, so we worked at it with a wet rag to get the salt spray off. Everything else was perfect. Read entire member review >>
The room was small but adequate, bed was OK, shower never did stay one temperature [cold to very hot and back again on about a 30 second timing], thermostat was a moveable baffle in the A/C vent [no heat, only less or more cool], room looked to have been refurbished recently and overall was OK. Dated room, no refrigerator. Could hear overhead noise from the buffet when they were rolling carts around. Also had a strong bleach smell in the early morning hours, the source could not be detected. Read entire member review >>
We got the "let us pick your cabin" handed to us by our cruise coordinator and not by our choice. We were given cabin 8387. I really liked it for a couple of reasons and didn't like it for the noise. The cabin was on the veranda deck just 4 doors from the rear elevator which was extremely handy for zipping up 1 flight of stairs and the lido deck buffet was right there. Very handy for meals, a snack or a cool glass of lemonade. But the noise was very loud at times, especially bed time. Almost sounded like being in the basement of a bowling alley at times. Our room attendant was top notch. But they always are on every cruise we have been on. Read entire member review >>
We let carnival choose our balcony room since it was our first time cruising. We were on the Lido deck (9) in room 9261 w/ balcony. The room was larger than we had expected. 2 big enough closets and one with the safe and some extra storage space. Plenty of room under the bed to put our suitcases. Bathroom was a good size. Don't expect good water pressure in the shower. Really wish they would replace the TVS.. those things are OLD and bad! No hallway noise and we were right off from the main elevators. We used the beds as a King and were surprised the comfort! Balcony is great for morning coffee and just enjoying the ocean breeze and view! Perfect for 2 people but not much more than that! Great room, not crowded. Very comfortable. We let carnival choose our balcony room to save money and it was a great decision. I was afraid since we had 2 rooms that we would be separated, but Carnival kept us just down the hall from each other and everything went great. Read entire member review >>
Room showing it's age. Older tv not flat screen. No mini-fridge. Those were the only faults I found with room. It was clean and comfy just a little outdated. Balcony same size as the bigger ships. All in all a great cruise for the price $409 per person Read entire member review >>
Nice room, a little dated, but plenty of storage and the balcony is nice. We were worried about noise from the Lido deck above, but we did not really have any problem with this. This cabin is below the mid-ship pool on the Lido deck, but I think it is below an area behind the bar area, so we did not hear chairs scraping all day. We could hear a bit of the music and the DJ from above when we were on our balcony but it was not bad and only a few times did we hear movement from above while in our cabin room. We had cabin 7391 Balcony aft near stairs and elevators. Typical carnival Balcony cabin, except no fridge. Not at all noisy being near stairs and elevators very convenient location. Read entire member review >>
8293 Great balcony with plenty of storage. Good sized bathroom and enjoyed the robes. The bed was a little bit too firm. 8323 Great balcony with plenty of storage. Nice bathroom with large storage area. Good sized underbed area to fit large suitcases. Only drawback was the noise from the Lido deck. Was a chair or lounger scrapping noise comming thru ceiling. All different times of day and night. 8407 Great handicap room. Very accomodating for a wheel chair. They provided sharps container, refridge for insulin, and shower chair. Plenty of storage area too. TV set located in hard to watch area at one end of room. Cabin was long and narrow. Read entire member review >>
The cabins were quite dated. Ours was a balcony cabin on Deck 7 forward. It was slightly larger than many other cruise lines with adequate storage and a slightly bigger bathroom. You got hot cold and warm water at the same time making taking a shower a challenge. The fixtures and furniture were all dinged and showing their age. You had a choice of no air or cold air. There was more than once when we stepped out of the cabin we were confronted with the strong stench of sewage. We never did learn where that was coming from. We experienced the sewage smell one night at the entrance to the Rome Theater. Read entire member review >>
It is a balcony cabin on the port side. The location is about 8-10 cabins down from the Atrium elevators. I heard very little hallway noise. Very little movement. The beds were left together and it has a couch, rather the size of a small love seat, since it was too short even for my 5 5 frame. There is an upper that the cabin will steward let down, if needed. The upper over hangs the bed buy about 4 inches and if you are not careful you will whack your head when you sit up. The TV is the old style.
There are (2) 110 electric outlets in the vanity area as well as the 220. There is a hair dryer mounted to the wall in the bathroom. Its rather odd looking and the tube does get hot if you keep it on very long. I have short hair and it took a long time to dry it, I cant imagine trying to dry long hair with it. This is the 1st bathroom that had a cabinet to store you personal items in. Its a 3-4 tier mirrored shelf/cabinet with a door. Its very convenient and easier to keep the bathroom tidy. There is no fridge in the cabin. There is ample storage in the closets and under the bed as well as several shelves in the other small closets at the end of the bed. The in room safe works with a card that has a swipe on the back.
The beds were a bit harder then I have had in the past, conversely the mattress on the couch was very soft. There are several pillows on the bed, but I bring my own. The balcony door is not as heavy and was pretty easily opened by my 3 year old. There is a latch that can be opened by any smart toddler that can climb on the bed and reach! I made sure that I kept the latch looked and made sure the kids understood to not go out the door without me. The balcony had better chairs then the on the Liberty. Those were too low to the ground and made it difficult getting up and down if you have a back injury, as I do. These chairs were more a normal height. There was also a small table. There was no ashtray, I did ask several times and one was never provided. My daughter used a half filled water bottle instead. I dont smoke and I only smelled cigar smoke once, while out on my balcony. I was between two other cabins who smoked, and even with asthma it never bothered me. Read entire member review >>
First time in a balcony room and loved it, the only problem was that we got a trundle instead of a roll-away and my son is 6'4 so it was too small, but the cabin steward placed an extension that seemed to work well, will try to get roll-away next time. We were very close to the elevators but didn't hear too much noise as expected, nice surprise. Read entire member review >>
Loved the balcony cabin but heard much noise from the Lido deck upstairs. Unsure of what is was or exactly where it was coming from but it sounded as though something was being scooted on the floor all the time. Although it was somewhat frustrating, it wasn't enough for me to give up my balcony room. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was your typical balcony cabin. The Lido deck was directly above us and we did hear noise even though it was the carpeted area of the buffet restaurant. I would definitely recommend one deck lower. Also, the covering over our balcony extended out more than other balconies so we didn't get much direct sun. This was not the best side of the ship for New Orleans, Key West or Freeport. We did get the good side when arriving in Nassau as we were up early and had a panoramic view of Atlantis. We did have easy access to the South Beach restaurant above us on the Lido deck. We liked going up to get our coffee in the mornings and returning to our balcony. Read entire member review >>
Great location under hong kong noodle. Only minimal chair scraping heard on one of the 5 mornings. Diaganol from the laundry room which is convienent for ironing or doing wash. Read entire member review >>
Balcony cabin was nice and big, roomy with decent size bathroom. However, the cabin was outdated in decor and some things didnt work. Balcony light work only some times, bed night lights were falling apart, and TV didnt work sometimes with the menu. Read entire member review >>
