This was a fantastic package deal for Australian cruises! Embarkation was an absolute disaster standing in the sun for well over 2 and a half hours with no shade or water or explanation given. The first point of contact was from a carnival employee in tears as we entered the igloo building As it was so late, there was no embarkation photographers to be found which was disappointing.
Our cabin ...
Everything was good except in the main dining room. Was nice to see tablecloths still there but I believe they are going away soon. There was no teamwork in our section of the dining room and was very stressful to watch. The dining rm was advertised at lunch as opened until 2:30 so when we arrived at 1:30 they were not very pleasant when we showed them it said 2:30 and they insisted that kitchen ...
This was the longest cruise we had undertaken at 17 nights.
We felt a strange vibe when boarding the ship. On all of our previous cruises, everyone boarding the ship is in a great mood – as we are all going on holiday at the same time. This one was a little different with some people boarding cranky and staying cranky the whole cruise. For some it was their first cruise, which is a bit strange ...
We booked this cruise so that we could have a week in Waikiki and then cruise home. We had a great time in Honolulu.
This was our first time on Carnival Legend, but have been on Carnival Spirt twice.
We had the first boarding time of 12.30 - 1pm, although it did appear that everyone had turned up to board at the same time! So it did take a little while to get through and on board, although ...
We chose this cruise for the embarkation port Honolulu and the ports we visited. The ship was repositioning and the time of year was perfect. It was very smooth sailing and the weather was very warm. We have never cruised Carnival Cruise Line before and were pleasantly surprised in a lot of ways but also disappointed in some ways as well.
The service and staff were terrific, we enjoyed the ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to go to Hawaii and cruise back home. Also that we could spend Australian Dollars on the ship.
The crew were fabulous, always friendly. Food was good. Entertainment good. The crossing was mostly calm with a couple of days where the sea was rough, but the ship handled the bad weather very well.
The cabin (7162) was great and having the extended balcony ...
We flew to Honolulu from Seattle to cruise on the Carnival Legend..
The cruise was 11 days and the first 2 days we were to be docked in Honolulu. The itinerary showed the ship being there at 8:00 am on the first day. We were under the impression that we could board after that. However, we were not allowed to board until 1:30 pm and after. This was not communicated at all. So, the first day was ...
We chose Carnival Legend because it was a re-positioning cruise. We flew to Honolulu & visited Honolulu, Maui, Hilo, & Kauai, each for one day. The Legend then sailed to Vancouver Canada to start the summer Alaska cruise. It was a great 11 days because the food, entertainment & activities were geared toward mature adults from the 50's, 60's, & 70's. We met so many people from al over the ...
The ship was very clean and well maintained with the exception of some leaky plumbing on deck five port-side. We chose the last balcony cabin because, it was the only stateroom available. We booked this cruise because of the turmoil in Europe. We were originally booked on the Vista from Athens to Barcelona, continuing on to NYC, for a back to back. We have sailed on the Legend before out of Tampa. ...
We wanted to travel by ship instead of flying to the USA, as I can't sit for long periods of time as you do when flying. Also, our Balcony cabin cost us both only $8000 for the whole cruise, which is much less than Business Class. I was not looking forward to the Carnival Legend as I had read some terrible reviews on TripAdviser, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Our balcony cabin was beautiful ...
