Carnival Transatlantic Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

This ship should be turned into a reef

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Freedom

Took this ship over to Barcelona and back to Port Canaveral for the "replace the whale tale" transatlantic cruises. Wow, what a mistake! First mistake was not knowing that you don't take a cruise on a ship that's going into or out of dry dock because there will be contractors working on various aspects of the ship all during the cruise. Fortunately, we weren't bothered by this in our cabin ...

Dirty Ship food lacking

I am surprised by how bad the food is and the ship is dirty. The staff are good but seemed to be trained not to give bigger than a child serving for the Buffett. The prime rib a few nights ago turned out to be a few bites of beef. They cut such small bite size pieces I felt bad for the carver. Awful. Just ruined a good prime rib why bother?? This will be my last cruise on Carnival. I really used ...

Ship unable to handle 4000 passengers

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Horizon

ELEVATORS - You can’t just jump on an elevator because there are no buttons inside to select your floor. You must select a floor BEFORE entering, so 2 elevators arrive, you miss them both while programing your desired floor, or even worse, a passenger holds the door, but the elevator simply won’t take the command because the elevator has arrived, huh? and you wait forever for the next elevator. ...

Will NEVER SAIL ON CARNIVAL AGAIN!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Horizon

Had to get to US from Barcelona. Balcony Cabin was fine. Room steward was excellent. “My time dining” was very inconvenient. We had to check in on deck 5 and then proceed 2 decks down to deck 3 restaurant. Food was mediocre at best and sometimes inedible. Presentation was poor. Table settings were without tablecloths. I witnessed tables being wiped with wet cloths and silver ware placed on ...

Very Disappointing

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Horizon

PROS: The ship itself was very nice, Never felt crowded. Getting on and off the ship was very smooth for arrival, for departure, and for all ports, we enjoyed the Ping Pong tables which were in doors as opposed to our past cruises in which the tables were outdoors, For most days it was too cold and windy to enjoy the outdoor ship facilities. The gym also was very good, and we never had ...

Not Sure Where to Start!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Horizon

We chose this ship because we were doing a transatlantic from Ft. Lauderdale to Rome on Celebrity Reflection and and we could fly to Barcelona for a couple days and catch the Horizon back home. Being a new ship we anticipated it being top notch! Just the opposite. Embarkation - We were told to be at the dock for 11am check in. We then had to sit and wait 2 hours before we could get on the ...

A huge disappointment!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Vista

We enjoyed our Breeze cruise so much, and the Vista was so hyped as the flagship, that we booked this two years ago. Much was made of the new Havana Cabanas and all of the amenities. Here are some things you need to know. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on the Spa Package. The Spa area is so oversold that you cant get in to use the chairs, they are always taken. Gone are the days of find dining. ...

Poor Service

I am particularly disappointed by the Lido deck and the ability of the staff to keep coffee and coffee cups in adequate supply. During the peak of early morning breakfast, the coffee pots would go empty and cups would run out. A sign on the machine instructed people to use a new cup each time. This was a new ship that was commissioned in spring and the carpet on the stairs was shredding. ...

New ship, poor room steward, fair food

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Vista

User Avatar

Getting on the ship, a mass of people pushing and shoving and no clear lines to move through in orderly fashion. A disaster in the making. New ship = confusing directions at each of the elevators (not enough of these), and poorly laid out public space. People trying to sell you photos/spa services at every turn was annoying. Food was ok, better on formal nights. No table linens was ...

Carnival Sunshine Transatlantic

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

User Avatar

Cons - The renovation on the Sunshine has not been completed due to the large number of water leaks on the ship. The leaks are plumbing issues. They have removed all seating on the Promenade deck, for relaxation most folks had to seat in the bar areas. Also, except for the rooms, no 120 V outlets European 220 only this will be a problem in US. Interior rooms have no furniture, Carnival please ...
