We had looked at this cruise for some time but trying to put a package together with airfares, transfers, Hop on/Hop off bus, hotels in Barcelona and the actually cruise itself was to say the least overwhelming. We just happened to get an offer from a travel agency with everything included if we could get back & forth to the NYC area. We had almost passed it up, but finally decided to take the ...
I chose this TA cruise, even though I hadn't really like the experience 8 years ago, because of the ports, disembarkation port & the fact that it was a new ship with lots to do on the sea days. There was also a very large & fun roll call group with lots of activities planned. The embarkation in Barcelona went well, didn't have to wait long to board the ship. I was surprised that my luggage was ...
The Carnival Vista is a beautiful ship. Serenity area was most comfortable and relaxing.
Enjoyed the Morning Show with Matt & Cookie each sea day.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Cookie's enthusiasm and personality. He assisted the cruise director and was a major contribution to onboard entertainment. He has a natural gift for being on-stage - he possesses self-confidence and has an ...
Just completed our sailing on the Vista TransAtlantic cruise. I would like to start by saying we had a terrific time. This cruise was absolutely fabulous and special and It had everything to do with the crew and the reason we return to Carnival cruise after cruise. From the Captain and all his officers brilliant handling of the ship during difficult weather while we headed to the Azores to the ...
Although the décor of this new ship was lacking for me, this was a wonderful cruise across the Atlantic. I loved our stops in Gibraltar and the Azores. Ponta Delgada and the Azores is one of my favorite places on earth. It is gorgeous.
The Vista is not elegant looking. I know they were trying to get away from glitz and be more sophisticated, but plain, mid-century modern décor just didn't do ...
We chose this cruise because there were a lot of people on it that we have cruised with before. That is always a plus. Now, I would like to compare the ship and crew with the first TA on the Dream. Well, there is no comparison. The restaurants on the Vista were great. The cabin stewards were awesome. The layout of the ship wasn't as confusing. The only downside was the stage area. There ...
We have cruised with Carnival 4 times previously and as UK residents took advantage of the Vista departing a European port prior to being assigned to it's home port of Miami.
Normally to experience a Carnival cruise we have to first fly to the USA so this was a great opportunity to go transatlantic and from Europe. The ship is great I loved it, Carnival have departed from the "Versace on ...
We cruised on this ship from Athens to Barcelona, and then on to New York on the Vista’s maiden Trans-Atlantic.
For the most part public areas where kept clean and tidy with staff often to be seen cleaning. This was especially so on the leg from Athens to Barcelona when apparently some cases of the norovirus where on-board.
However, there did not appear to be enough bar staff, leading to ...
On our 30th cruise, but the first time with Carnival, and I was a bit apprehensive. Lets start with the negatives, this ship is never going to win a beauty pageant, she is ugly. The Atrium is like a Holiday Inn lounge, really bright and very unwelcoming and the cabins, which are large and well appointed but soundproofing is terrible, the cove balcony's had major problems when the storm doors were ...
I am particularly disappointed by the Lido deck and the ability of the staff to keep coffee and coffee cups in adequate supply. During the peak of early morning breakfast, the coffee pots would go empty and cups would run out. A sign on the machine instructed people to use a new cup each time.
This was a new ship that was commissioned in spring and the carpet on the stairs was shredding. ...
