My wife and I decided to try the 3 day cruise
We didn’t know what to really expect.
After disembarking we discussed and reflected in the fairest way I feel
The staff were very hard working and the catering was managed to perfection .We did wonder how there were som many staff on board as many were from overseas.
Pros:
For disabled people it was quite functional
The food ...
This was our very first cruise and we came back with a very positive experience. While we dont have a cruise benchmark to compare, it was evident that almost everyone of the crew we came across were trying their best to make our holidays what we wanted it to be - whether we wanted a party experience or a relaxing one or anything in between. We chose this because we understood Carnival was a family ...
This was another cancelled, cancelled, cancelled past cruise caused by covid, but at least we got some obc spending money which paid for drinks and other items.
We enjoyed the cruise thanks to meeting some other couples that we joined up with triveas and general company, this really is what cruising is all about.
We only went to the Lido and other free eateries around it ( The Indian, BBQ, ...
First time on Carnival (RC, Princess & P&O) & first Christmas cruise.
Mum & 2 teens (O2 club); Sister booked a last minute cabin. Knew another family, so linked them to be part of our travel group (for MDR).
Festive displays helped lessen the pink themed public areas (although the decor in the room corridors was nice). Although the MDR is called the golden pearl, it’s hard not to see it ...
We have wanted to make the trip to New Zealand and had had a self drive trip cancelled due to the pandemic. We had a few cruise trip credits and decided to pay a visit to New Zealand’s South Island on a cruise.
I rang the Carnival hotline direct and had a fantastic experience with their direct sales staff. I hadn’t been on a long holiday in over two years, so we decided to do a back to back ...
Just an FYI before I start. Family of 4 in our cabin and two of us came home with COVID from the cruise. I chose this cruise since we had one canceled because of Covid. Embarkation was slow. We were told to arrive between 1:30-2. It took about 90 minutes to get on. Very crowded inside and masks are required during that process. I am a Gold member with Carnival and have used them more than ...
We had sailed on the Splendor back in 2011 & the Carnival Splendor once again gave us a great cruise!
The ship is bright and colourful like a Las Vegas casino resort & I like how they modernised the main pool area. The ship has some really good public places. The main pool area has a huge flat deck area between the pool and huge movie screen. This area is great for outdoor dance deck parties ...
It took a few days to get used to all the people (have been living in Alice Springs for 10 years) but once we got into the swing of where to go and what to do, we had a great time. We found plenty of interesting and healthy food to choose from, and experienced excellent service (Nuka) at the Black Pearl Restaurant. We found the shows very entertaining and Lee was an exceptional cruise director. ...
We joined the ship in sydney as part of a bigger trip from the UK visiting friends. Along with another couple from Australia we were advised at the port on embarkation day that we would not be stopping at Mare (our first port) due to a technical issue which meant the ship had to stay anchored to fix the problem. We were not impressed as this now meant a 10 day cruise only had 3 ports! Bizarely ...
As a 59-60-year old couple we were not the target market for this cruise which is families with children. For many this is their annual holiday. Even so we still enjoyed ourselves. The ship itself is looking a bit dated now having launched in 2001. There have been refurbishments however the theme and cabin interiors are looking tired.
We opted for ‘Your Time Dining’. On the first and second ...
