Carnival Sydney (Australia) Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

This was a family Christmas get together, the old saying you get what you pay for …. If you like standing in lines for food, being sat on a Tender for over 45 minutes on the water, not being able to get off in searing heat, then trying to get back to the ship, lining up for hours, again in the heat, whilst they only ran 2 Tenders, welll this is the cruise for you. Accounts paid in full for on ...

My husband & I travelled with 8 other friends. Overall, we had a great time BUT we didn't walk away with raving reviews. Our cabin was clean and our bed was comfortable. The staff were very attentive and polite. This is obviously a very important feature. The entertainment was great. The theme nights were a lot of fun. The decor on this ship is compared to a sensory nightmare. The ...

We chose this cruise a year ago because of the lack of local ships and the itinerary was Ok. However it was changed to visit Noumea twice due to NC government rules. Due to this, many people cancelled and the cruise was sold cheap and given away to many gamblers. This was the last of 7 cruises done on this ship in the last 8 months, so we knew what to expect. What we got was quite ...

Chose this cruise for a 21st birthday The food was terrible only food that was half decent was 24 hour pizza and the sandwich bar. The all you can eat buffet was crap they just couldn’t even get the simple things right. We went to the restaurant for 2 nights the first night I got a steak which I thought might’ve been nice being at the restaurant but was nothing fancy at all no one in ...

The embarkation was fast. The main lobby was very small, noisy and crowded. Their website says they use USD so I selected cash for my onboard account (I have only AUD bank card). I called hotline and they told me they use AUD, but I needed to get on board soon. So took 25 minutes to wait for guest service staff to fix my account (linked to AUD bank card ). I chose King bed for my dad online 2 days ...

Too crowded, very disappointed

I did not enjoy this experience. Over crowded, badly organised from the beginning. Our first thing was the master. We had to stand around waiting for so long some of the elderly were starting to get ill. Then our first meal in the Gold Pearl, was a disaster, giving us food we didn’t order. A storm meant we missed out on Port Arthur so we were in Hobart for two days. I thought they could have ...

My 4 day cruise to Morton islands leaving sydney the 6th Feb.The service in the restaurants was great and the food but that's where it stops, too many bogans swearing and drunken people. The dress code was poor and not much entertaiment during the day and found the staff not happy compared to the P& O staff. There was no control over handwashing at the buffet and before you enter the boarding on ...

Cruise was below average. Not worth the money we paid for. We were around 10 families with 17 room and the experience was very bad 1- the room door was broken 2- the food quality was terrible and not much varieties 3- customer service in the Lido restaurant was very bad 4- very crowded, you have to line up for everything 5- 2 Small pools and 4 tiny spas for 3000 ppl are definitely ...

Let me start by saying this is our 8th cruise and normally love it so I'm not just picking holes. We Loved the Carnival Spirit so decided to go on the latest Carnival Australia Ship the Splendor. The Ship has been in dry dock for a refit unfortunately looks like they never got anywhere near finishing it, Painting in ganways and public areas was a daily event as well as power tools and hammering . ...

Carnival splendor not the best experience

Sailed with friends for their 50th birthday. Our first cruise and I had gone with the thought that it would be like a club on water, I was correct. I was not overly impressed: lines and long wait for most meals, especially the deli, wok and Indian. As for getting a poolside seat or pod especially in adult only areha : forget it. The small pools and spas were disappointing and also crowded. Long ...
