I don’t want this to be read as a negative review, but there were things Carnival Australia could improve on.
We cruised on Carnival Legend ex Sydney 17th Dec 2018 for 10 nights to Pacific Islands.
This was our 11th cruise holiday (Cunard, 2xRoyal Caribbean, 2x Princess, MSC, 2x P&O Aust, P&O UK and Carnival Caribbean). So we have other cruises to compare this with.

Have never sailed with Carnival before so decided to take a break. The ship had been refitted this year. The decor of a Greek theme was very dark and oppressive.

Enrichment Activities - did not attend any, these don’t interest us.
Embarkation/disembarkation - good, we did not encounter any issues.
Public Rooms - well maintained, and spaced out.

Enjoyed my 11 night cruise to the South Pacific, but the Carnival Spirit didn't quite live up to expectations. Wanted to try a different cruise line after being with Princess Cruises. Thought Fun ship that's different. Well not what I call fun.
Getting pushed out of way by kids and parents. Kids running up and down hallways and up and down stairs pushing elevator buttons.

I must say from the outset that we had sail on the Spirit on about 5 or 6 other occasions.
It was disappointing to see the cost cutting that has taken place and onboard price rises for beer,wine and other things. The shows over the ten nights were ok but it looks like guest artists have now gone by the wayside.

We did enjoy our cruise but found the ship to be rather tired, especially in the hallways. The pods on decks 9 and 10 were nice to lay in with a book if you could get one, but I always would put a towel down 1st as the cushions and the mat you lay on were stained and a bit grubby! This is my second cruise on this ship in the past 12 months and have another planned. This cruise was a short break to visit Tasmania with another couple. On arrival we went to our room to drop off our hand luggage. This was our 10th cruise. 3rd with Carnival. Also the last with Carnival. Food was average and at times terrible. Cold meals twice. Had to return two meals.
