As a large group (22 in total), with a good mix of adults and children, we looked forward to this cruise for over 12 months.
The overall experience was a pleasant one, with everyone (bar 1 child) enjoying it.
The positives were the service (both cabin and dining), the entertainment, activities available onboard and the overall friendliness of staff and passengers alike.

An interesting cruise. Embarkation went very well and quick - very efficient.
Decor inside ship is very dark - if I had a choice I would paint all the dark brown areas a light off white colour. But it is what it is.
If you are a regular cruiser on RCL or Princess I believe you will be disappointed with Carnival - it is a step down.

Embarkation and access was easy and smooth. Cabins were not ready but that was to be expected. Went straight to the pool and bar while waited for rooms to be ready. The weather was perfect every day and just hung at the serenity bar away from screaming kids.

It was a great fun relaxing cruise enjoyed the stops, staff was fantastic and friendly as always. First Carnival Cruise after 3 cruises with Royal. Short cruise to Tasmania. Booked a guarantee balcony. Given balcony on Deck 8.
Cabin was spacious. Happy to be close to the buffet and serenity the adults only area.
Had issues with flooding in the cabin. Excellent service from guest services in getting this issue fixed to my satisfaction.

This was a good short cruise to Moreton Island. There were heaps of first time cruisers on the ship which was good to see. I didn't even bother getting off the ship when we got there so I had the ship to myself. Was able to do mini golf without heaps of kids and could hang out in Serenity without heaps of people there. We just got back today (28/1/18). You know you have had a GREAT time when the family are depressed it is all over and the realities of this daily world start to set in.

We were hesitant about carnival but it suited for a quick trip after 5 days in sydney we did the same cruise 11yrs ago on a P&O ship but spirit was much better, we weren't planning on doing shore excursions due to the cost and we had previously been there.
