This was our first cruise with Carnival. We selected this cruise as it fit in with our available free time from work commitments.
First off, I will mention the good things about the cruise.
Embarkation, we made out own transfer arrangements to the pier, Check through Customs very quick. We made it up to the check-in level, the line was huge, I would think at least 30mins to 45 mins to get to ...
I wanted my children and grandchildren to have a wonderful holiday. For young families it was wonderful, the facilities giving parents and children an absolutely wonderful holiday.
However as an older person I was unsafe with the children racing up and down the corridors, kocking on my cabin doors and running away. A child even threw rubbish at me while I was was in the lift. I did have a fall ...
Where do i start? From port cancelled due to weather and instead of offering replacement carnival US instructing the ship just to sail to Syd for 3 full days at-sea? Or should i start from thick cloud of cigarette smoke around the kids pool on top deck through which my family had to crawl for our meals. Or maybe double charging on my credit card which carnival accounting can't sort out even after ...

false advertising due to water slides do not work on ship / bed bugs in balcony cabins/crew are told to lie to customers about things will be fixed / expensive drink prices/ dirty balconies with flaking paint/ toilet blocked up/ never had one hot meal entire voyage/ kids club terrible/ everything is a rip off / avoid this cruise at all costs ps THE TRUTH HURTS will never go on a cruise line which ...
My wife and I were looking forward to this cruise ( our second on the Spirit ) as my wife had major back surgery a few months ago and this was for some relaxation.
Embarkation went smoothly and then we realized that it was school holidays when we saw the number of children on board. Mind you most were really good.
The dining room food was just good but unfortunately the food in the buffet ...
Terrible customer service. Had to line up in huge lines for food everyday, lines for kids club (waited about 45 minutes the first day and they tried to pass me someone else's child to pick up). My Children hated the kids club, they barely interact with the children. Terrible food and not much variety. I will never go on another cruise again. We paid for a suite which was quite expensive and ...
Hi,
Just some word of advice, you need to be very careful before you decide to cruise with Carnival. The Spirit is in poor shape, in cabin furniture falling apart, gym equipment not working, mini golf course in tatters, broken doors and glass.
Be careful if your intending to bring a bottle of Alcohol along, it was my Wife's birthday and we intended to celebrate on board with a bottle of ...
We decided to try Carnival Spirit as the sailing fell into our annual leave time frame, WELL! What a huge mistake!
We have sailed before many times on RCI and Princess, so we are comparing Carnival to these lines.
Before even stepping on board we where given "lip" by one of the ships photographers all because we didn't want our photo taken at that particular moment in time. This incident ...
My husband and I are in our early 60's and when reviewing which cruise would suit us I noted that Carnival Legend had a Serenity Area on Deck 9 and an extensive library with shows in the evening. We saw the cruise had a good rating so we thought this was for us....how wrong can you be! The Serenity Area was quickly taken over by the Club 18/30 folks who sat in the pool drinking.... The Library ...
