Carnival Sydney (Australia) Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Have to commend the captain as he had some very difficult decisions to make but he managed to still get us our 5 stops. Wasn't very happy with the food. Main dining room menu didn't change very much and food was not as good as I have had on other ships. Entertainment wasn't as good either. Loved the daytime trivia, seemed to always be a trivia to go to and Chloe the entertainments manager was ...

Had a great time

I think that your option of a cruise has a lot to do with YOUR attitude. We went along to have fun and we did. Apart from not having coffee and alcohol packages I didn’t find this cruise line any more penny pinching than any other cruise line that I have travelled on. I actually appreciated that they didn’t have an alcohol package as having to pay for each drink meant that there were less people ...

Another great cruise with some issues but Carnival came good

So this cruise was a 5-night Tasmanian domestic cruise. We set sail Friday 22nd March. Check-in was smooth and this was the last time we checked-in where Carnival took our photo for their system. Our Sail and Sign cards were available reasonably quickly outside our room. We got into our rooms and checked the Funtimes which didn't indicate Port Arthur as a stop. It listed a changed ...

Family Christmas Cruise

We chose to get away from the hustle & bustle of Christmas preparations and relax with the family (kids & grand-kids) on a Christmas cruise. The children went to kids club, some enjoyed it, some didn't. If you don't like lots of kids then this is not a cruise for you. There was plenty to do (if you want to) things like trivia, dance lessons, crafts, games, swimming, water slides, shows, parties. ...

Nice Christmas Cruise

The cruise was great, fantastic dining room staff and cabin Steward. Need more details given to FTTF passengers of where to go and what they are entitled to. Photographers were the biggest issue, not very good quality, too quick, out of focus, dirty equipment which left marks on photos, would have bought more if they were of any decent quality. Mare should be taken off the the islands to ...

Not bad but getting old

We were offered a very good deal which included Balcony, airfares and $500 spending money at a travel agents mini expo otherwise we wouldn't have chosen to do this cruise. We found it very relaxing but wouldn't want to be on there during school holidays. Eat in the Dining room for breakfast and dinner, staff were fantastic and very talented - the nightly show in the dining room was sometimes ...

Carnival Spirit - Pacific Islands Family Holiday

We had been on Diamond Princess as a couple and loved the experience so Carnival had a lot to live up to. It wasn't as big or as flash as Princess but with a 4 year old Carnival was absolutely perfect. Carnival was more geared for children with the slides and things for them to do. We were also upgraded to an extended balcony cabin (8223) and I thoroughly encourage anyone doing a pacific island ...

A positive surprise

First time on Carnival line and chose this Cruise as we had a last minute discounted cabin. Have cruised over a dozen times with Princess, Celebrity Solstice Solstice and P&O. We were worried that our indoor cabin under the Red Frog Bar would be noisy, it was extremely quiet except for the occasional scraping of chairs. The cabin was spacious with heaps of hanging space and a good sized shower. ...

Embarkation and Disembarkarion went smoothly. Everything was organised and we didnt have to wait for long periods of time. Food at buffet was pretty average but enjoyed food at Main Dining Room. Great service from staff. Room was a bit small for 4 people. Not enough storage in the room to store clothing etc. Unfortunately we didnt get an invite for the meet and mingle which we were looking forward ...

I booked this 12 day cruise at short notice. The fare was heavily discounted and I've always wanted to go to Denarau, Fiji. This was my first time with Carnival and I liked it. When I booked this cruise, I was concerned about the ship's security, after seeing video footage of unruly behaviour of some passengers and some security guards last February. The sight of some large security guards ...
