There were 7 of us on this cruise, my wife, our four teenage kids and our niece. Overall we had a great time. No major issues at all other than mother nature, which obviously Carnival has nothing to do with. Even with rain there are countless things to do or just simply relax. This was only our 5th cruise and we enjoyed it, but it didn't stand out for us like our trip on the Freedom and Liberty. ...
Faster the fun and on the ship quickly. Port Canaveral is pretty smooth running. Connecting rooms for adults and two teen boys. Lobby level. First impression of the ship was great. Walking on into the lobby and we see nice décor. Clean. Greeted by friendly smiles at every turn. Dropped our carryon bags in the cabin and off we went to the Lido for lunch. No crowds yet and scoped out our spot. ...
My husband and I very recently got off of the Carnival Sunshine after 8 nights with our 3 kids. We were joined on our trip by 5 other adult travellers. It was a family vacation for us all. Our check in and getting onto the ship was great, this is our 5th cruise and by far the fastest check in process we have ever experienced.
We were very excited to be on this cruise as our 3 boys had never ...
Eighth Carnival cruise and first on Sunshine. The ship looks to be in very good shape and crew was friendly, providing extremely attentive service. First cruise I felt crowded on. Traversing the ship will lead to many "excuse me's" and "I'm sorry's" as you weave and dodge the narrow passages through the casino, Lido deck and dining room.
Room steward and company were like mice, very good mice. ...
This is a long overdue review of an amazing trip. I posted a detailed review in the Carnival forum, but wanted to get something in here as well. It amazes me that the rating of this ship is so low and think that the number is skewed due to older postings. Do NOT hesitate to book this ship - the adults only area was great, food decent, entertainment (if you like music) consistent and readily ...
We cannot really fault this cruise ship or the crew members who were very helpful and friendly. If we did it would be nit picking. This was our first cruise with Carnival. The cabin was a decent size as was the shower. The entertainment was very good and very popular. Food was good .Well organized. Would not hesitate in cruising with them again. ...
We have been on seven cruises with many different cruise lines. We traveled on Carnival Sunshine Western Caribbean cruise February 28, 2015 through March 7, 2015. The cruise price was a bargain. We previously traveled with Carnival in the 1990's overall the food was much better and the service was greatly improved. The food in the main dining room was ok. Not bad not five star. We enjoyed the ...
Our family booked this cruise after My Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. We wanted to do something together and fun before my Mom Can't remember. WE will never forget the nightmare of this trip. The shows we not good .It was so crowded there wasn't enough seats. The comedy act one guy was so bad no one laughed.
They were so many kids I felt I was on a floating daycare. The kids ran into and ...
This was our first bad cruise through Carnival. The negativity is directly related to the ship. The ship is crowded. The comedy shows are great but the seating is by far the worst I have seen. The anytime dining is HORRIBLE!!!!!! Do not do it on this ship. Some nights we waited a hour to get into the dining room. The setup of going to deck 5 to get signed in and then going to deck 3 to the dining ...
This was our second cruise on the Sunshine. We are Platinum level with Carnival. Having sailed almost all the class of ships in the Carnival line-up, the Sunshine has found the set spot.
The 2.0 upgrades fit perfectly and the problems with the larger ships aren't as present.
The Serenity area is well designed, perhaps the best in the fleet. The ship was clean and still holding up from the most ...
