I'm writing this from the perspective of someone who wants a relaxing cruise, as apposed to someone who wants to party. If you are looking to get, and stay, loud, this may be the ship for you. This is only my second cruise. My first was on the Carnival Fantasy, out of Mobile AL. The Fantasy was so great, that I couldn't remember everything that my wife and I loved about it when I wrote that review ...
I’m shocked at the negative reviews, other than a few that compare cruises that cost twice as much.
This is our 15h Carnival cruise, though we are not Carnival loyalists. Many NCL cruises, quite a few MSC, one RCCL, Princess and even an SS France or two!
We thought the public spaces were great. The Sirenity lounge is about 3 or 4 times the size of other ships. Something for everyone ...
CONS:
* Raised daily parking to $20 a day
* Ship feels way over capacity with the additional cabins. It's a constant battle everyday trying to find a chair outside anywhere. No exaggeration its rediculous.
* Food in the dining room seemed like the worst choices in any of my 8 cruises thus far. For the first time ever only ate there on formal night.
* Outside movie night again good ...
I know a lot of people love this ship, so we were excited to try it out. I found the layout not as easy as other Carnival ships. The dining room service was the worst in nine cruises. Normally, the dining room staff blows us away. I’m not sure if they had a lot of trainees, but I was unimpressed. The taller guy at the Java Blue Cafe (his tag was covered) was, by far, the best service we received. ...
Our 14th Carnival cruise and we chose The Sunshine. We had 1 inside and 1 balcony, cabin
was pretty well average, bathrooms seemed smaller than most. Dining was challenging at best. Food has gotten downright bad. Food had no flavor, even pizza was tasteless. Deli was good, as well as Guy;s Burger. The entertainment was good, but the theater was dated.
All the workers we encountered were ...
My daughter and I took a mini vacation for her birthday . The crew on this ship made her feel so special. Ray our steward was awesome. The crew in the Sunset dining were truly amazing . We met Bradley the art gentleman and had a good conversation with him. and Mikey the cruise director will keep you laughing he was awesome. Andre who works on the lido deck bringing you drinks he is the bomb! has ...
I don't even know where to start!!!
I have been spoiled by Disney cruises and now that my daughter feels she is too "old" to travel Disney we choose Carnival out Charleston, SC
Cons:
1. Don't book/pay for ANYTHING in advance prior to getting on the ship. Trust me you will have to fight/dispute charges later, so just pay when you get there.
2. Don't bother to reserve arrival/boarding ...
We had been looking forward to this cruise for sooooo long. It was the first one for my husband and the second one for me (although mine was 20 years ago on the no longer existing Big Red Boat). Unfortunately, was not a very good experience for either one of us and will definitely not go back on this one.
Cons:
*Embarkation was a nightmare! The parking and the walking just to get to the ...
This was our first cruise and unfortunately very disappointed to say the least.
This should not be listed as a “family friendly “ cruise line.Drunk adults everywhere, unsupervised children running and screaming down the halls,I’m honestly shocked that families bring small children and expose them to that atmosphere. We attempted several shows to get away but there was no escape including the ...
This was the first cruise I have been on but I loved it. The only negatives that I had were it left port an hour late and a lot of noise children other than that it was extremely fun and the food was better than I expected not saying it was the best in the world but it was far above what I had expected and the fruit was very fresh. My favorite restaurant was the blue iguana it’s burritos were ...
