Awesome trip

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

I chose this cruise, after 26 years of working on NYE, I wanted to spend with spouse without working. The inside spa room was roomy for 2. THis room was so close to the outside deck and food. This ship is big and sometimes I did feel overwhelmed, just moved inside or went to serenity decks, which is 3 decks high. I will go on a NYE cruise again! The Steakhouse was the best thing we did and went ...

I have cruised the Sunshine previously with a friend for a seminar. When I got home I raved about it so much, this time went with my hubby and a group we put together. Everyone had rave reviews. Food was fantastic, Alchemy Bar lots of fun, Staff was beyond great, with the exception of two at the Lido buffet. Hasbro game show is a lot of fun for all ages. We came home so relaxed. We did get ...

This is my 4th Carnival Cruise. I honestly cannot figure out why I have read so many bad reviews about this ship. The service was impeccable-the staff remembered our names and really made us feel special. The activities were entertaining. We had an aft extended balcony on the 5th floor and it was more spacious than I expected. We did have a fridge in our room. The food was good. My daughter ...

My husband had a Carnival Premier Cruise, a casino offer and we chose the 8 day on the Carnival Sunshine for April 8th was offered from Port Canaveral. We have been on this ship before and the dining options and the Serenity Deck are wonderful. It was our first Premier cruise and it came with lots of perks. We had a porthole room on a lower floor with a twin bed and couch, which our ...

This was our 3rd Carnival cruise and the best one so far. I read many of the reviews here after booking this cruise and thought we had made a mistake with this ship. I guess we are either not as particular as some people or Carnival has made improvements because we had a wonderful time. It is just my wife and I traveling so we purposely try to sail around this time of the year as it makes for ...

Faster the fun and on the ship quickly. Port Canaveral is pretty smooth running. Connecting rooms for adults and two teen boys. Lobby level. First impression of the ship was great. Walking on into the lobby and we see nice décor. Clean. Greeted by friendly smiles at every turn. Dropped our carryon bags in the cabin and off we went to the Lido for lunch. No crowds yet and scoped out our spot. ...

We cannot really fault this cruise ship or the crew members who were very helpful and friendly. If we did it would be nit picking. This was our first cruise with Carnival. The cabin was a decent size as was the shower. The entertainment was very good and very popular. Food was good .Well organized. Would not hesitate in cruising with them again. ...

Great Cruise

This was our second cruise on the Sunshine. We are Platinum level with Carnival. Having sailed almost all the class of ships in the Carnival line-up, the Sunshine has found the set spot. The 2.0 upgrades fit perfectly and the problems with the larger ships aren't as present. The Serenity area is well designed, perhaps the best in the fleet. The ship was clean and still holding up from the most ...

It was with mixed feelings that we embarked on the Sunshine. The reviews were so mixed I didn't know what to expect. Also the roll call indicated that there were going to be hundreds of kids on the ship. We went with an open mind and were pleasantly surprised. The cruise was wonderful. The ship is beautiful and in very good shape. Yes, the layout of the Sunshine is not the greatest, but we knew ...

A Bit of A Disappointment

We were on the Glory in Jan 2014 and they looped a story about Sunshine over and over on our tv. So we booked. I really like the new colors; that salmon is a little tired. Best room steward(es) we've ever had. Although he was very friendly, our dining room server may have been the worst we've had. About the remodel: The pool on the back of Lido is gone. It's been replaced with a restaurant that ...
