"Service was v good, staff very attentive, & perform a song or two towards end of meal, with a big sing a long on last night, it was very moving to hear the staff sing I Still call Australia Home, very emotional especially for these guys who were unemployed for a long uncertain 2-3 years. The ship is very good, always amusing to navigate from rear of lower cabins to front of boat, need to get lift from decks 1-4 to deck 5, walk through Casino & shops to get lift down to deck 3 Restaurant...."Read More

So I decided to do a three day cruise for my 60th Birthday with my friend, overall cruise was good. Staff in the dining area were very good so was the food and most staff friendly. We were in a spa Balcony and enjoyed the perks very much, variety of food in the Lido was minimal but the pizza was amazing, our cabin 1016 was clean and tidy although cabins are cleaned once a day only.
TV was so ...
Chose this cruise for a 21st birthday
The food was terrible only food that was half decent was 24 hour pizza and the sandwich bar.
The all you can eat buffet was crap they just couldn’t even get the simple things right.
We went to the restaurant for 2 nights the first night I got a steak which I thought might’ve been nice being at the restaurant but was nothing fancy at all no one in ...
I got a good deal (I thought) of $890 AUD for a balcony cabin and $900 AUD OBC. I should have known that it was too good to be true (especially when the American cruisers told me what they were paying).
Embarkation was a total farce. We were told that we had to show a negative RAT result, 24 hrs prior. No one ever asked to see it. When we finally got on board, we waited by the lifts until, ...
We had chosen and booked this cruise before the pandemic. It was canceled and reset many times do to the COVID outbreaks on ships and the lack of testing procedures laid out by the government and agreed upon by the cruiselines. We had set this cruise with 8 other people and were excited to meet up with them on this January 29. 2023 cruise out of Sydney. We were flying from the US about 9,000 miles ...
The embarkation was fast. The main lobby was very small, noisy and crowded. Their website says they use USD so I selected cash for my onboard account (I have only AUD bank card). I called hotline and they told me they use AUD, but I needed to get on board soon. So took 25 minutes to wait for guest service staff to fix my account (linked to AUD bank card ). I chose King bed for my dad online 2 days ...
The rust hanging from the anchor wells tell the story.
THE GOOD: ages 2-17 had a great time. The well supervised kids club was a terrific way to please the children 2-17 years The staff was polite and efficient. The all day self serve pizza and ice cream. The movies and the pool were also much enjoyed by them as was the laser light energetic sensational shows at night.
THE BAD: ...
Our group of ten embarked upon what we thought would be a great NYE cruise experience, unfortunately this did not occur as the negatives outweighed the positives.
Positives where great staff in the restaurants, bars and our cabin attendant. Also the boarding and disembarking process efficient.
Negatives, the food quality in the main dining room was terrible. Actually, the buffet and smaller ...
My daughter paid for me but I loved this trip. Previous cruises were boring with nothing to do and just so you know I'm not fussy, The RC cruise I was on had three (3) people turn up for Bingo and my friend and I were 2 of those. same fro craft class. I was the only person who turned up.
On the Splendor I was spoilt for choices. The food was not super super fancy in the buffet but still ...
First time on Carnival (RC, Princess & P&O) & first Christmas cruise.
Mum & 2 teens (O2 club); Sister booked a last minute cabin. Knew another family, so linked them to be part of our travel group (for MDR).
Festive displays helped lessen the pink themed public areas (although the decor in the room corridors was nice). Although the MDR is called the golden pearl, it’s hard not to see it ...
We have wanted to make the trip to New Zealand and had had a self drive trip cancelled due to the pandemic. We had a few cruise trip credits and decided to pay a visit to New Zealand’s South Island on a cruise.
I rang the Carnival hotline direct and had a fantastic experience with their direct sales staff. I hadn’t been on a long holiday in over two years, so we decided to do a back to back ...
