Lack of hand sanitation & many other things

Review for Carnival Splendor to South Pacific

Close to home, part of a group we have travelled on many times (Princess, Cunard, P & O International & Holland America), but this was all so different. Before we left we received an email that stated there would be extra health checks, what a joke, we signed a piece of paper & we were on board. Our biggest shock was there was no hand sanitation enforcement, didn't happen until the last few ...

Splendor is a maze to navigate

This was our 7th Cruise and we chose Splendor because it was supposedly refurbished and we enjoyed Spirit so much. I believe a cruise is what your make of it and we enjoyed ourselves, but somethings were disappointing. The ships decor I think is very ugly unfortunately, ceilings very low and areas very dark. The glass lifts are like walking into a hallway very narrow. Overall the ship is very ...

Cruise was below average. Not worth the money we paid for. We were around 10 families with 17 room and the experience was very bad 1- the room door was broken 2- the food quality was terrible and not much varieties 3- customer service in the Lido restaurant was very bad 4- very crowded, you have to line up for everything 5- 2 Small pools and 4 tiny spas for 3000 ppl are definitely ...

Great ship but not for the Australian Market

Review for Carnival Splendor to Asia

This was the trip that brought the Splendor to Australia so my fist comments will be on the ships suitability to that market. I am a fan of Carnival being a Platinum Cruiser (I am for Princess as well) but not a fan of this ship for the new home, its just a poor fit. We are used to the Spirit and Legend so I compare on that basis, Lido is to small, every cruise to and from Sydney generally ...

We had a nice time about the Splendor. Really enjoyed our spa suite and amenities. All the staff with the exception of the bar staff were very pleasant and seemed to always be smiling. The embarkation process was very smooth and easy. We were among the first 50 aboard so we had first dibs on the seating and buffet. All the staff at the buffet were happy and willing to assist us. Met ...

I just completed my 9th cruise, five of which are the same itinerary, the 7-Day Mexican Riviera from the Long Beach port. I had never done a cruise until February 2014 and now I have completed nine with the tenth I anticipate being on the Carnival Panorama. I drove in from Scottsdale, AZ for this trip. I actually got to the cruise terminal a bit early so I wandered over to the Queen Mary and ...

First cruise on Carnival. Twelve other cruises on different lines. We purchased a suite for this adventure. Just a joke that afternoon food was basically only served from 12 to 2:30. Really enjoyed standing in lines because Carnival is too cheap to keep dining choices open, while not having various eating establishments open for their patrons. It was great coming back from a shore excursion ...

Food

Carnival needs to fire the head chef of this ship. I’m not even sure the food met the standards of a typical Denny’s restaurant. Bland and overcooked or undercooked or just plain stale, was what we found at every meal. The pinnacle steakhouse food (sides and appetizers) were done well but my New York steak, had so much gristle in it, it couldn’t be cut. The pinnacle steakhouse staff ...

Sorry for the delay, my wife stop me till I cooled down. My wife needs a wheel chair to get on and off ship, when we got to the port we were told she needed to get in the building and then they would find a wheel chair, we waited over a hour in the VIP lounge, then when they came they only took her to the lobby of the ship and told us the third party staff could not go onto the ship, we were in a ...

My first cruise was on Carnival’s Imagination from Long Beach to Catalina and Ensenada. We had a blast. I took my husband, aunt and uncle. The food was alright. No seafood like we imagined. A lot of passengers on the cruise kept telling us how great the lobster was going to be. But there was no lobster, which was very disappointing There was breaded shrimp but it was dry and not tasty. Guys Burgers ...
