Needed a cruise that left after Christmas and this fit the bill and was longer than other companies offered. The ship looks like it needs an update. The decorations are outdated and very pink, seats are cracked and it needs a facelift. Not much to do on the ship in terms of activities. Two waterslides and mini golf did not hold my children's attention (ages 10, 12) and they did not want to go ...
For first time cruisers , the itinerary was 3 stops we had not encountered previously . Snorkeling in Turks/Caicos 2 days after Christmas made the trip for me . My own fault I didn’t book an island tour of Half moon cay in advance , but the island has plenty of beach and a hike up the coast shows off crabs and sea urchins . Nassau , well , is Nassau and we did take a tour of Nassau proper and ...
We chose this trip because it fit into our schedule and for no other reason. It was a premium week and the prices were jacked up as it is everywhere. Having traveled on Carnival before we had some idea of what to expect. Nothing high end, but clean and most of the employees are very hard workers. The designers were extravagantly awful. Terrible colors and lots of odd choices. It looked like ...
Five of us went on the Splendor the day after Christmas.
We had a great time!
We jet skied on the private island which was just beautiful!.
We enjoyed the ports but especially loved the beach at Turks & Caicos.
Nassau was not as pretty but still had fun shopping at the straw market
The specialty steak house restaurant was very good!
The staff were polite and courteous

We were booked on this cruise as part of a 3 cruise package, the other two cruises being on Caribbean Princess and Cunard QM2. We knew Carnival had the reputation of being a party ship but we had no idea of how bad the whole week would be. First some good things: the staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you; our cabin was nice, spacious and comfortable; dinner in the Black Pearl was good ...
We chose this 6 day cruise after a hectic 10 days in Orlando, so this was suppose to relax.
We paid the extra to get this Scenic Ocean View cabin. When we entered our cabin we were wow’ed by the view directly out of the front of the ship and also the size of the cabin.
We also noticed how cold the room was and the whistling sound coming from the ceiling grill as the force of the air from the ...
Cabin was under pool/ lido deck tables and chairs, heard scraping movement from 4:00 am, to 12:30 am. The movie by the sea people were noisier than the ones at the pool during the day !!! Our cabin 8335 is directly under this area. DO NOT B OOK this cabin, or ask CARNIVAL to re- insulate the room!!
No rest on my FALL BREAK!!! Cabin itself was fine, just the noises above!!!
The ship was ...
Embarkation - This was the worst experience of the entire trip. We waited in line for approximately 2 hours in an building that had no air conditioner. It was miserable to say the least. It was not a pleasant start to our vacation. However, the airport (FLL) was very close and we were at the port in less than 10 minutes.
Ship - The ship was overall a fun ship to be on. It was a great first ...
This was my husband's first cruise. So I wanted something that was short because I wasn't sure how he would like it. It was my first time leaving my baby (18 months) at home. I just wanted to have a quick trip for us to get away and to turn my husband onto cruising! Mission accomplished. He loved everything about cruising, the ports, the ship. Although I did miss my baby this was a great ...
I just returned home to Canada after taking my trip with carnival. Before Irma hit we were supposed to go to Nassau, Half moon Cay, Grand Turk & Amber Cove, but due to Irma we were switched to Cozumel, Honduras & Belize. Even though a lot of people were disappointed it was a fantastic time. The ship was clean and always A LOT to do, the staff was incredible as well. Due to Irma hitting Fort ...
