Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Carnival Spirit

If anything, this is definitely a fun boat. Lots of activities for everyone and a great energy. While the service is inconsistent it's generally positive. The process of getting on board was particularly patchy. The number of times I was ordered to produce my passport and green card prior to actually needing to was completely fun busting. Service at the bars vary. Some of the staff ...

People told us it was fun so we took our first ever family holiday. At first we were worried but by night 3 we were in the swing of things and loved it. Just don't rush. sleep in if you want. for me the nights rocked. loved the food and the service ...wow.. was really hard to go home. I loved this boat so much that it will be hard to book a different one next time. The music was ...

Recommended by friends. I will keep this short and sweet. I heard two people complain about kids on the boat. I am a school teacher. The kids were great!! Why go on a family cruise if you do not want kids there.? Another couple whinged that food was better on another line. Rubbish...THE best, consistently high standard of food I have EVER had. I made heaps of new friends of all ages. My mate and I ...

First family cruise - beautiful ports and excellent crew

This was our first cruise and we traveled as a family of four (kids are 13 and 10). It was a wonderful family holiday and we're already trying to plan another! Embarkation and debarkation - excellent and so smooth. It was quite a difference, as we're used to international airline travel which is much busier and more involved. I loved that we were lounging by the pool before our boarding ...

Great destinations and Wonderful Staff

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Carnival Spirit

We heard good reviews of the company and ship esp. for family cruises and were not disappointed. The staff were great, the ship was tidy and the activities for the kids kept them well entertained. One occasion the dining room mixed up an order but nothing major especially considering the volume of people being served. The Nouveau Restaurant was truly wonderful. The food was spectacular and the ...

Cabin: 7147. Conveniently located to the Forward lifts. Right above Pharaoh and Versailles venues and the children/teen venues so perfect in the late evening. A five minute walk to the Empire Dining Room located Aft. Only noise was the odd inconsiderate neighbour or rowdy person walking past but that happens anywhere. No noise from staff trolleys. Dining: Oh my! Chef's Table. $AUD $90 per ...

Arrived on our boat and went to our room at the back of the ship and couldn't believe the size of our room and the huge 6 metre balcony. Looked for 1 of our suitcases that was not at the door so I asked the staff were it was cause it had my wifes medication in in the case......3 pm 4pm 5 pm 6 pm still had not arrived asked the staff each of those times above and they said it will be there soon. ...

Melbourne Cup Extravaganza 2016

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Carnival Spirit

This Cruise was booked so we could tick one off our Bucket List the "Melbourne Cup Carnival". What better way to travel in style to the Cup than by a Beautiful Big Luxurious Ship. My husband generally drives to our holiday destination, this time he was able to sit back and travel in style. We travelled to the port via a train journey and exited the train at Circular Quay where we were ...

Thought a short cruise to Tassie and back might be a nice break for 3 fun loving cruisers. How wrong. The ship was full of grog swilling bogans. Dress codes in the dining areas meant nothing to them. The fault is the lack of control by the crew. Why, on formal nights, are people permitted in the dining areas wearing shorts, sleeveless shirts, thongs and baseball caps? Even in the casino you could ...
