We had a balcony but truly other than taking photo's we really didn't sit out very much. It was too windy to sit and enjoy the view.
Very clean and spacious enough for our family of 5. Shower was a bit squished, but hot and quite satisfactory. kept very clean.
TV in the room was a bit average and not much on. There is literally no Internet however that was fine, and i felt relaxed without all that keeping me occupied. I just brought a good book and had a lovely time. Read entire member review >>
Probably the most disappointing part of the cruise. The cabin was old and outdated. We had cabin 6264 which was the cabin that faced to the back of the boat. The cabin was so loud from the engine and shakes so badly, it was nearly impossible to sleep. The bathroom door rattled all day and night. We had to put a face washer between the door and the lock to stop it rattling. If you have any sort of sea sickness, do not book this cabin. It probably shakes and rocks the most out of any area on the ship. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was spacious enough for 2 adults and one teen. Facilities older but clean and functional. Shower gel, shampoo, tissues, towels etc. supplied. Cupboard space for 3, plenty of storage for suitcases under the main bed. Extended balcony was great. Mini bar fridge (stocked $), TV, water $, airconditioned, phone. You can check your sail and sign card balance on the TV.If you get seasick or motion sickness of any kind, this cabin is not recommended. Read entire member review >>
The aft balcony was protected from the wind and gets lots of extra sun, which was excellent.
The trade off is definitely extra noise and vibrations from the engine inside the cabin, and while I enjoy looking at the wake out the back of the boat, I now know I prefer looking out at the peaceful water.
My wife has decided she prefers aft cabins. I'm not so sure.
Indie the room was fine. There was only just enough cupboard space for three. The picture in the room was awful, and we weren't impressed by our cabin steward.
The laundry is directly opposite the room. We found this a plus as we could use it, and you couldn't hear any noise from it. But we did have people knocking on our door looking for the laundry. Read entire member review >>
Room 4239 - Main deck, aft with balcony. Room was spacious. Balcony door does not open. Room is very noisy and has a lot of vibration from engines. It also a door to connect another stateroom. Great view from aft of ship. Near laundry room. 1 floor above Empire room dining. Farthest away from all kid activities.
Room 4241 - Main deck, aft with balcony. Room was spacious. Balcony door does not open. Room is very noisy and has a lot of vibration from engines.Great view from aft of ship. Near laundry room. 1 floor above Empire room dining. Farthest away from all kid activities.
Room 4232 - Main deck, aft with balcony. Room was spacious. Balcony door does not open. Room is very noisy and has a lot of vibration from engines.Great view from aft of ship. Near laundry room. 1 floor above Empire room dining. Farthest away from all kid activities. Read entire member review >>
We were put in an aft facing, extended balcony cabin on the main deck (deck 4). It was wonderful! The roar of the water as the ships screws pushed the ship through the water was great! If you want to sit on a quite balcony and enjoy the view, then don't get an aft facing cabin. You had to raise your voice to be heard. It was worth it because the view and cabin were great! Cabin 4237 awesome views, very large balcony, interior door that connects to #4239
#4239 & #4241 are aft balcony cabins with a complete overhang which allowed for a drier balcony due to all the mist and rain when sailing. The aft cabins do vibrate more and you notice the ship movement more, however you have the aft view of both sides of the ship which we felt was an advantage.
$4193 French door obstruction. Same cabin layout as other balconies, however there is a lifeboat that fully obstructs any type of view and no access to step outside. You do get the daylight advantage and the ability to open the door slightly for fresh air. Read entire member review >>
Lots of storage space...extended balcony very nice. Pen stains on couch...maybe they will fix that soon. TVs need to be updated. Across from laundry room! We felt the ship moving a lot. Read entire member review >>
