Much better than I expected based on the reviews
"No one should go hungry and the food is as good as on any cruise ship.Getting on board was smooth sailing (no pun intended) and the back to back process, while longer than usual due to waiting for everyone to get off the ship, went smoothly as well...."Read More

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Spirit

I’ve been on over 13 cruises Carnival is the most that I’ve been on. I’ve been on Norwegian royal Caribbean carnival, but I’m looking to go on another cruise for next year again. So I’m looking for a new adventure. I enjoyed the cruise this time after Covid. I’ve noticed a lot of things have changed for the better. The signing up for the breakfast through the phone waiting on your table for the ...

Our cruise included 6 adults, 4 of witch are seniors, and 3 children, ages 6,12,15. We had an early check-in and were on the ship around 10:30. The room would be available around 2:00. The pools were available, the water slides opened at 12:00, and food was available at several places. We picked this cruise ship for a couple reasons, first activities for the kids, 2 water slides, one for young ...

Nice older ship

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Spirit

I felt the need to write a review of the Carnival Spirit because of so many negative ones I've read. Let me start out by saying I AM a seasoned cruiser. Been on over 20 cruisers. The Spirit is a older ship but easy to navigate and at full capacity doesn't feel crowded at all. This ship is NOT for kids!!!! People need to do their homework before booking or book with a experienced travel agt. There ...

Better than Expected

This was our first post-covid cruise. We weren't expecting much because the reviews that we had read were pretty bad. Our experience, however, proved to be very pleasant, To begin with, embarkation was a breeze. The system of timing your arrival seems to be working very well. We boarded without lines and were pleased to find that the muster station procedure no longer interferes with ...

Much better than I expected based on the reviews

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Spirit

The Spirit is an older ship and a smaller ship than the new ships being produced these days. I enjoyed the ship and never felt like I was living in the past. The decor in places is odd, to say the least, but something I got over in about 10 minutes. The only places it really was obvious was the main theatre done in an Egyptian motif and an inside walkway/lounge around the front of the ship that ...

If I had one phrase to describe my trip on the Carnival Spirit, I would say "so-so." Overall, I would say that if you are traveling with kids, this is certainly not the ship I would spend my money on. Also, if you want solid entertainment and engaging and fun activities throughout the day, this is also not the ship for you. I will break this review up into parts so it's easier to read for those of ...

Carnival Spirit review 12-11-22 Boarding pretty good, smooth and fast except for a long wait sitting at one point in the process. 10 am check-in time but not onboard till 11. Cabin 5231 Jay our room steward very nice and did a great job. Room ok but both of us hit tv shelf with head ouch. Thermostat difficult. Cabin Door very very heavy. Nice bathroom, good counter and ...

Sewerage smells - no staff - terrible entertainment and a ship that needs to go into drydock now!

We originally booked this cruise for a group of 10 pre covid that was rescheduled 4 times. We were traveling from literally all over the world and were supposed to be on Carnival Freedom but Carnival changed our ship about 3 moths prior to the cruise. We had last sailed on spirit in Australia in December 2019 and enjoyed the ship/entertainment and crew, but unfortunately it appears that ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Spirit

The port in Jacksonville was very easy to find and to get a park. So much better than New Orleans. No homeless people hanging out like New Orleans. The Embarking and Disembarking the ship was total chaos! We had verifly app and had a passport. We didn't get out of there until 11:30 a.m.! Having a passport did help some, but not much. Embarking and Disembarking was so much better on Carnival ...

My daughter loves Dr. Seuss, and they have cancelled it due to Covid, but they don't tell you that on the website. Get ready to COVID test your child every port and they charged $150.00. Plus the internet service I paid for didn't work. They told me because I paid in advance they couldn't refund my money $80.00 down the drain. Oh and if you have concerns don't bother talking to Guest ...
