Carnival Southern Caribbean Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

CARNIVAL HORIZON QUICK REVIEW

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Horizon

We sailed the ABC Islands on the Horizon and enjoyed each port stop. The ship itself is a nice ship but we are finding that we prefer the smaller ships as the large ships just seem too crowded. As usual cruise food is hit or miss and it seems that the menus are the same on each ship. For the life of me I cannot understand the elevator lobbies being right in front of the restaurants; ...

PROS: The Celestial Strings shows were phenomenal and a real treat to see such talent. The art auction crew were so wonderful and the highlight of our trip. The Bolt was a kick! Alex, one of the cruise staff, was such a pleasure and a true asset to this cruiseline. Hubby loved the Pig & Anchor because of the brewery beer selections. Waiters/food servers were great! Cabin cleaning staff always ...

Poor Workmanship on a Beautiful Ship

This was a "replacement" of a Mexican Riviera cruise that was cancelled during the pandemic. We chose Carnival's newest ship and a destination (Southern Caribbean) that we had never been to. It is a gorgeous ship but I was appalled to see nearly every step of the outside stairways of the upper decks cracked, bubbled, or broken. My guess is that Carnival is suing the contractor that did these, ...

Carnival can do better

As one other reviewer stated, the ship isn't even a year old and it's already in need of repairs. The Lido deck stairs are falling apart. The adhesive that was used cannot tolerate the heat and it just melts and splits. They actually used duck tape to hold the stairs together. If I was one that carries a cell phone I would have taken a picture! Someone is going to trip on those stairs. Do I hear ...

First carnival cruise

We chose this cruise because we were not thrilled with our last Royal Caribbean cruise, and we loved the stops (we hadn't been to any of them before), plus we could put all five us in a room together for a reasonable cost. It was our first Carnival Cruise (we had done Princess and Royal Caribbean before). Embarkation was extremely easy and quick. We left our hotel on the shuttle at 1015am. At ...

Food was ok but almost exact same thing EVERY day on Lido. The MDR’s served the same items just a tad more formal for the vast majority of the menu… Quality/temp etc. all sub par but you could eat at Guys burgers or tacos/burritos and both were great. Cabin steward and photographers also terrific. Cruise director made a few announcements and I saw him briefly once - other than that no ...

Carnival Shows Just How Cheap It Can Get

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Magic

We chose the Carnival Magic for the itinerary which included the Southern Caribbean islands of Aruba and Bonaire. It hadn't been an issue on previous cruises, but this cruise was short on entertainment during the day. We could only play so many trivia games before deciding to seek a more port-intensive cruise in the future. Trying to sit by the pool was useless. The passengers were up first ...

I chose this cruise as experience with a group of friends. It was close for all of us and the itineray was a plus for the group. Embarkation was easy and as good as any i have done. It was quick and efficient from parking to getting on board the Sunshine After boarding we dropped our bags in our rooms and went to the Lido for lunch. First mistake of the cruise. Went to the Deli for the first ...

Holiday Spirit on the Spirit

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Spirit

If I had one phrase to describe my trip on the Carnival Spirit, I would say "so-so." Overall, I would say that if you are traveling with kids, this is certainly not the ship I would spend my money on. Also, if you want solid entertainment and engaging and fun activities throughout the day, this is also not the ship for you. I will break this review up into parts so it's easier to read for those of ...

As Disappointing and Ultimately Unsafe

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

We wanted a pre holiday getaway to some warm islands. We got that, Aruba, Grand Turk, Bonaire and Princes Cay. All were great. Warm water, easy access, enjoyable snorkeling and day trips. What was bad, was the ship experience. First, the food. The main dining experience is entirely via the Carnival Hub app. If you're looking for printed menus and any semblance of fine dining and excellence, ...
